[Fenix is sitting on a rock staring at a video]

Lately I've been getting a lot of strange looks for carrying my weapons around. Is it the whole "In my world, I kill locusts who ravish my world thing or it's the chainsaw?

Look, I try to protect for a living.

Scenario: Zombies exist. They are conscious beings, look just like humans (no rotted flesh), except they have super strength and have to eat human brains or they'll lose their minds and go full Romero-style like in the movies. Probably a couple hundred of them in terms of population. Most of them don't kill humans, they buy brains off of coroners or funeral directors for premium prices just to keep from becoming murderers because while yes, they do feel hunger when they look at a human person, they also used to be a human and aren't typically psychopaths unless they already were before they died. They also sometimes get glimpses of the memories of the humans they eat. It can be spread via scratching, biting, and sexual contact. It's not spreadable to anything but in-species (so zombie rats can only infect rats, zombie humans can only infect humans).

What do you do about the zombie population?

(Disclaimer: This is hypothetical. Been watching a lot of B horror and got curious!)

While business is generally good here, there is always room for more work and less idle time. If only to keep my room-mate and sometime partner from getting so bored he bothers the network with nonsense and troubles the city with petty vandalism and ridiculous wastes of his red bills.

Or to stop him from leaping out the window just for kicks.

I can be hired for any job that pays me well enough. What the details are and if it is worth the fee you're offering is completely up to me to decide. You may or may not get the aforementioned red-suited extra in the bargain.

So go ahead. I'm listening. What would you have me do for you?

Private - Instrospection )

[Action - Holodeck'd]

[It wasn't often that Blaze would make a trip to Nova City. He actively tried to keep himself to Genessia City and Attleton, so he would always be able to respond quickly to emergencies. Today however, he'd changed his library shift and left the Guardian's office early in the morning to make a trip to visit the holodeck, the one place that he felt would be best to help him train himself both mentally and physically.

The majority of his day would be spent here, training himself in whatever scenario he could possibly think of- infiltration, hostage situations, supernatural invasions. If any would prove too difficult to him, or show the potential to take his life, Blaze had his
Mismagius at the helm to end the simulations.

One such simulation would be ended prematurely after Blaze had replicated Icy's attack as closely as he could, and without the aid of the people he had before, it'd gone pretty poorly. He'd been thrown to the ground by the creature and immobilized, but before it could manage a follow up attack it would vanish along with its surroundings. Laying in the now empty room, Blaze would stay there for a few minutes to catch his breath while his
Flareon hurried over to his side, dragging a bag of supplies Blaze had packed in advance. Blaze let out a heavy sigh as he sat up, shaking his head.]

No, I'm not happy with that result. We need to run it again.

[Text]

[It would be sunset by the time Blaze would leave the holodeck, and it was there he realized just how painfully unprepared he really was. His equipment was by far the biggest issue, and since he especially knew that Thirteen was on his same level with access to the same equipment, there was no way Blaze could accept it. If he wanted to keep civilians, his deputy and even himself safe, changes needed to be made.]

If someone would be willing to aid me, I desperately need to purchase new equipment. Given the circumstances, I can only assume that Nova City would be my best bet for it.
