So about this whole election thing... Why even bother?

[Qubine lets out a sigh with mixed emotions as he acknowledges the poll results. Somehow, the results are about what he expected, as far as him not winning are concerned. A part of him is disappointed, and yet he can't help the sense of relief either. Some of the questions presented during the debate had scared him more than he'd like to admit. He'd better do more research, or better yet, gain more experience.]

So that's it. The election has been decided. I've lost, and rightfully so. Becoming a Guardian is far different from being the leader I was in my own world. I only became the leader by fate…or circumstance. Whichever you want to call it.

I ran for Guardianship because I wanted to fulfill the leader's instinct within me that awakened when the plague struck my former clan. I didn't want to lay around and do nothing in this world. It's a strange feeling to do nothing…but then, when you spend your life fighting just to live another day, you tend to forget what it's like to live in peace.

I have to admit, some of the questions during the debate, as well as some of the advice I received during the campaign period, had made me reconsider some things…and only made it painfully obvious that I simply do not know enough about this world to be an effective Guardian.

Perhaps I'll try again in the next election…but until then... [Another pause before he simply shrugs.] We'll see what happens.

First and foremost, I would like to thank those that have voted for me, and extend extra thanks to those that did not. Opposition only drives me to be better than your expectations of me.

[A smirk plays on her face, because she loves to play up the role of a Flashy Snaggle Toothed Undead Harlot, coined from a lovely citizen not long ago.]

As promised, I am opening up the position of Deputy Guardian for public voting to anyone that falls under the following criteria:

-Must be of adult age, and if under this age they may still run but I would need to speak with them personally;

-Must not have a criminal record in Everglade, or have served their sentence and kept a clean record since its completion;

-Must have combat skills;

-Must have basic office skills.

If there are only two candidates at the end of one week's time, they will become Deputy Guardians. Any questions or concerns in regard to what I've just stated are welcomed. Voting will start one week from today.

Last, thanks to a generous benefactor, The Red House Foundation will be expanding to Genessia City. This house will give priority to women and children, as well as space for others as needed. We hope to have an event to help raise money for other services such as legal and medical support for the foundation to provide to those in need. So do look out for further details later.
