[When Chiaki wasn't working, she found herself lingering near the Bay, playing one of her handheld video games. She didn't really know why she did it, she did this similarly when waiting for Hinata to get out of school with no success. But she wanted to at least live in a little hope that maybe someone she knew might come out of the Bay, that maybe those she had befriended from here might return.

Her Pokemon were lingering around her, making sure that she was okay while she played her game and had been planning to nudge her when someone was close just in case.]

[Chiaki had spent a good few hours sitting around the Bay before she thought to use the device. Switching it on she looked down at the screen.]

I don't have work to go to today and I don't think sitting close to the Bay is really going to be helpful for me. So I was wondering if anyone wants to do something? Get something to eat, go play some games, anything. I just want to spend time with friends as much as possible... Because we never know when our friends will leave.

[Jaune seems to have exhaled a deep breath just prior to beginning the video. For once, he's not in the Guardian Skyrise, but his apartment. He doesn't know or particularly care what happened to his office, seeing as he quit with no notice. Biting his lip and twisting his hands nervously, it's clearly awkward for him, but he looks cleaner than he did. Healthier.]

I heard the world exploded or something again while I was gone. And Emerald's famous now, making the world exploding less of a shock. So I guess I'm just going to ask if I missed anything important and say hi to all the new arrivals.

I found another job, one I think that's going to work out. But there are some obstacles-- like officially learning how to drive. [Look he can drive/fly just fine but he's put off taking any tests so he's been driving without a license when he's needed to.]

I don't know as much stuff as some people who've been in Genessia, but I've been here a while and I've read everything the GSRF has about what they've found out. I don't necessarily understand everything, I'm not a scientist, but if you ever have any questions, I'll try to answer them as best as I can in...less scienc-y terms.

[Dorian smiles and gives a quaint wave a greeting before he addresses the network. His surroundings are smaller, not the modern trappings of his own office, but the stone masoned and naturally lit walls of his office at Fairy Tail.]

Good afternoon, everyone. I'd like to talk, today, about Time and, more specifically, the record thereof. You see, through quite a bit of research I'll not bore you with, I've determined the calendar utilized here correlates well enough with my own. The 10th month of the calendar used by Genessia and its environs began yesterday, at midnight. It is referred to as 'October'. In my own world, Frumentum or as it's referred to by the common folk "Harvestmere" will be beginning in roughly two days time. We have 12 months, divided into 30 days each. If Genessia continues on a path consistent with its previous course, its calendar year consists of 365 days, save for every 4th year, when some brilliant scholar ages ago realized they were losing time and devised a rough patching that's consisted into the present day. I've of course not been around here long enough to have experienced this mythical "leap year", but Genessia's calendar, along with many of its residents, seem to hail for "Earth". It's the "Roman" calendar, which is a rather interesting topic in regards to both Earth and Thedas, but, well...

[He clears his throat, turning his gaze to an open journal before him.] I digress grossly.

Last month on Thedas, we began the month with the Annum "All Souls Day", and it would seem there are several similar holidays at the end of this Genessian month. I've read about several of them, but I'm curious what your traditions are. In Thedas, the holiday is rather dour. We dress as ghosts and parade about at midnight, very sad. We don't even get a feast! What do you do?

[ Cassian Andor appears on the screen, sitting behind his desk in the Attleton Guardian’s office. Unlike most time spent in his office, there is no Swablu sitting on his head. ]

Since my campaign, I have voiced my desire to see Attleton’s neighborhood watch system of providing law enforcement more strictly formalized and regulated. I value the contributions of our concerned citizens, who are vital to upholding law and order in Attleton, and its long-standing traditions. These changes won't turn the Neighborhood Watch into a police force under a different name but strengthen it within the bounds of our town’s laws and customs.

Members of the Watch will carry badges, it will be limited to citizens who have no criminal record or given other concern of being unable to fulfill their duty impartially and conscientiously. The watch will be bound by a new set of regulations which determine both its conduct and the limits of its authority. In return, the Guardian's office will take an active role in training them.

Of direct interest to all citizens of Attleton is that the Guardian’s office will be providing self-defense courses for beginners. Sign-up lists can be found at the Guardian’s office and town hall, and if proprietors are willing, in stores all across town. We are still looking for volunteer teachers and other helpers.


OOC: Volunteers would be mostly teaching our NPC Attletonians, but player characters are welcome to take classes, too. Not really planning a log for this, but could put one up if there's interest.

WHAT: Yang's hand falls right off, so she gives Mercury a call to learn about proper automail robot prosthetic maintenance. Then they go hunting a deranged serial killer because that's how normal people socialize, right?
