[Jaune seems to have exhaled a deep breath just prior to beginning the video. For once, he's not in the Guardian Skyrise, but his apartment. He doesn't know or particularly care what happened to his office, seeing as he quit with no notice. Biting his lip and twisting his hands nervously, it's clearly awkward for him, but he looks cleaner than he did. Healthier.]

I heard the world exploded or something again while I was gone. And Emerald's famous now, making the world exploding less of a shock. So I guess I'm just going to ask if I missed anything important and say hi to all the new arrivals.

Hi all the new arrivals. I'm Jaune.

[A forced shrug of his shoulders, he leans back a little as if to get away from the camera.]

I found another job, one I think that's going to work out. But there are some obstacles-- like officially learning how to drive. [Look he can drive/fly just fine but he's put off taking any tests so he's been driving without a license when he's needed to.]

I don't know as much stuff as some people who've been in Genessia, but I've been here a while and I've read everything the GSRF has about what they've found out. I don't necessarily understand everything, I'm not a scientist, but if you ever have any questions, I'll try to answer them as best as I can in...less scienc-y terms.

[After agonizing whether to visit or message Weiss, seeming to come to a decision before retracting it just as quickly, he decides messaging her is the best and least intrusive option. He's a lot quieter in this video, considering their last conversation. But there's still some anxious warmth in his voice, like he's trying to make this as normal as possible but he knows he can't.]

You're back! When did you get back? Motorcycles are cool and after I crashed Weiss's car because I was inside her body-- I mean she was inside mine too, but a change of pace might be good.

[She grins at his explanation, hitching her shoulders.]

Yeah, Weiss did mention something about that. You...switched bodies?

[At least Yang hopes that's what he's trying to say, albeit as awkwardly as possible.]

Anyway, if you're up for it, I can teach you to ride a bike. The motorcycle I fixed up when I was here before doesn't seem to be around anymore so I'll have to scrounge up another one. How soon do you need to start learning?

I can't stand with people I don't trust. [He might trust Garrus, but Mercury and especially Jacques as the mayor? Hell no.] And now I can do the same thing without all the red tape or paperwork, but I needed to step back. Have you ever done something you thought was right and then regretted?

[That Emerald's famous? He totally agrees and knows that isn't what it is.] I can't believe Emerald's famous for something that doesn't involve making people miserable. On top of you two, I have a lot of autographs to ask for.

I didn't bother to watch it. I'll try being impressed when she makes some effort toward being a better person instead of just not ruining Mercury's attempts to actually do something.

[ As far as she knows, Emerald hasn't really done anything besides float around being a bitch. The last time she saw her was when Jaune brought her over unconscious last year and then she had Grell breathing down her neck about how her deputy tried to kill her. She's not impressed. ]

[Honestly, that...catches him off guard a little. Out of all the other Deputies, he liked Grievous and respected him the most. Had he been chosen as one of the Guardians, maybe Jaune would have stayed. General Grievous had always treated him more as a peer than an idiot or an idiot who made rash mistakes on the job, but he hadn't expected him to say that.]

I was just trying to give you less work now that you have to keep Mercury and Garrus in line.

But I've missed you too. [He doesn't regret his choices so much as how he made them, but while the isolation helped it also was lonely at times.]

[Since regaining more of his mind and memories, Grievous has been more clear-headed and it does also help his civility. Apart from their initial clash and later minor disagreements, he doesn't have an issue with Jaune. He hadn't been happy to see him leave.]

I continue to do my patrols and I do not involve myself in any pettiness.

[In other words for the moment he's ignoring any internal trouble and just doing his duty. He had considered stepping down but he does want to protect the city. He's considering running for Guardian next time.]

[She had wondered where he had been, but not telling her anything might mean he didn't want her to know. Which hurts, but if it's for him to look healthier, then she can live.]

[He hadn't meant to hurt her, and it had been a choice he had to make on short notice so that he wouldn't have the time to make an excuse and back out again. He had only told Weiss because she had been the one most directly affected by his behavior...something he had to change, and she was also the only person who really knew why and understood why he acted that way. Which was no excuse, but it wasn't the kind of thing he wanted to burden his other friends with. He is glad to see her again.]

40 different types?! I can barely drive one. Actually, I don't think I can even drive a ship. [Do you know how long he's tried to convince someone to teach him how to drive a ship?] Any of them you want to teach me. I mean, if you want to.
