Christmas Eve Party!

WHO: Anyone willing to behave themselves for a nice Christmas party!
WHAT: Weiss's Housewarming/Christmas Eve Party
WHEN: Christmas Eve
WHERE: Team RWBY's new house
WARNINGS: Mistletoe is hung in one of the corners! Avoid it if you don't wanna get smooched! (But seriously if anyone has anything here that needs a warning please tell me.)



It's Christmas Eve and it's cold outside! Perhaps you should come in, enjoy some refreshments, chat, sing a song at the karaoke station, or open up your Secret Santa gifts? There's plenty of room to wander around and plenty of fun to be had! While furniture doesn't seem to be overly plentiful, there's a coat closet near the entrance and plenty of room for party guests in the family room, kitchen (where the food is!) and breakfast nook, and the outside deck. There are Christmasy pine garlands with signs that say "Guests are asked to remain in the party area! Thank you!" cutting off rooms beyond those and classy decorations adorning the designated party area (plus doilies at the dining table). At the center of the family room is a well-lit Christmas tree.

Naturally, if you have another location that you would like to direct your thread, you're welcome to make a thread of your own-- but if it's in an area that's off limits, unless your character is accompanied by one of Team RWBY (or are going to the restroom- which hopefully there won't be any threads for that) your character will get told to go back to the party if your character is caught! If they get caught more than once, they may be asked to leave. :( We don't want that!

The party evening will round out with Weiss and Blake singing a duet of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" for everyone, so please have a Merry Christmas! (And happy all holidays!)

[ Weiss wasn't planning on moving them besides to hold him like that. While she did have a tendency to do what she wanted, this was a classy party. Not formal, classy. And Weiss wasn't the type of person to make everyone uncomfortable by doing something like that. She knew how to conduct herself as well, she just had learned to loosen up and be a teenager. ]

I wasn't mocking you, I'm just naturally... [ Hold on a second here, she's trying to think of a word that isn't insulting to her. ] I have naturally high standards.

[banishment]

Oh, so you're dating me for my crown, then. I see.

[ he was teasing, naturally. ]

I didn't bring it. Do you want me to go get it? My armor, too?

[whiteas]

That's completely it.

[ She'll tease him right back, then reach up to her own little crown like she's about to take it out. She doesn't actually intend to, of course, figuring he'll stop her. ]

Want to borrow mine?

[banishment]

No, I don't.

[ he grabbed her wrist again, tugging her arm back down. ]

You really went all out with this.

[whiteas]

Are you sure?

[ Weiss just goes to hold his hands instead this time. ]

As much as I could. I had help.

[banishment]

Yes. [ he laughs, squeezing the hand in his and using that grip to tug her to him. ] I'm sure. It looks better on you.

From your team?

[whiteas]

Don't you think everything looks better on me?

[ She tugs easily, managing to keep her balance though so that she doesn't run straight into him. ]

My team, and Neptune brought drinks.

[banishment]

[ ...weiss, do not say things that have him picturing you wearing his clothes (and nothing but his clothes) while you're in a room full of other people. his good cheek tints pink and he clears his throat. ]

Neptune. Good for him.

[ still so angry he got him for his secret santa. not that weiss knows. ]

[whiteas]

[ How is she supposed to know what he's thinking, honestly.. ]

You really zeroed in on that single part of what I said. [ She wouldn't blame him as much if it wasn't a passing comment about helping set up the party. ]

[banishment]

[ grimace. he's not being unnecessarily jealous, he's just-- ]

Can you keep a secret? A secret about your secret thing?

[whiteas]

You know I can.

[ Zuko of all people knew more than most. ..But he was good to make sure to mention it beforehand because if he hadn't Weiss would've probably turned right around and told Blake and Ruby whatever it was. ]

[banishment]

[ somehow, his grimace deepens and he softly -- quickly -- admits: ]

Igothim.

[whiteas]

[ Weiss stares at him for a moment, trying to decide whether this was a good or bad thing. A follow-up question would likely solve that. ]

You did at least try to get him something nice, right?

[banishment]

Yes!

[ so easily offended. calm down, zuko. that candle someone set on the serving table as a decorative centerpiece just flared higher than a candle's spark should. ]

I'm not mean, just-- [ threatened. ]

[whiteas]

Zuko.

[ Weiss narrowed her eyes at that. Oh he's gonna feel threatened alright if he starts a panic or accidentally singes something in her apartment. ]

[banishment]

What? I said I got him something nice! Ty Lee helped, you can ask her!

[ the candle flares again. he has no idea that the nearest fire source is responding to him. ]

[whiteas]

[ Yeah she's going to reach up and turn his face to look at the candles. ]

Calm down.

[banishment]

I am c--

[ he lets her and his eyes land on the candle. oh. ]

[whiteas]

I hope you weren't going to say "calm," Zuko.

[ This would be one of those moments where if he had a last name, she'd be saying it. ]

[banishment]

[ just call him prince zuko. weiss using his title would throw him off. or a good sarcastic "your royal highness" works, too. ]

...wasn't aware I was bending your candles?

[whiteas]

[ She saves those for when she's actually pissed at him.

Give her five seconds, then she decides to test it. ]

Neptune and I are still friends and we do see each other still, so I'm glad that you decided to get him something nice. It won't hurt you two to get to know each other at least on a level that you're not going to accidentally burn down my house.

[banishment]

[ he makes a face. ]

Look, I had Ty Lee help so my bias or whatever you want to call it wouldn't get in the way. I'm trying. I'm bad at this, but I'm trying.

...just don't ever ask Ty Lee about Ember Island. [ epic jealous hissy fit was epic. ]

[whiteas]

You realize I actually am required by the laws of the universe to ask Ty Lee what happened at Ember Island now, right?

[ You can't just tell her not to press the red button then leave her alone in the room with the red button. ]

[banishment]

[ why yes, that pathetic whining noise did indeed just come from your boyfriend. ]

[whiteas]

It's completely within your power to stop me from getting every single juicy story out of your friend possible, you know.
