[ Action/Video ] (A bit backdated!)
[ Shortly after dropping Satsuki in a ditch somewhere (read: going their separate ways), Lucy and Natsu continued on to drop off their bounty to get their pay before heading home. Lucy deliberately picked a path that skirted away from where the building that the guild was supposed to be in, was. In fact, the apartment she'd picked out was even further away from the guild building than the inn was.
Speaking of apartments - she tucked the cloaks she received under an arm (or passed them over to Natsu if he wanted to hold them for a moment) and turned on her device, the video feed showing a slightly scuffed up but smiling blonde. ]
Those smugglers that were harassing the unicorns were taken care of - thankfully. Hopefully no one else gets it in their head to bother them- and hopefully the unicorns themselves have learned their lesson about going near people. I'm sure they did. Anyway, got some neat new magic cloaks out of the mission - that was a nice surprise!
Oh, Wendy, Levy, just thought I'd let you know, but I've moved out of the Inn. I'm staying in an apartment on the edge of town.
[ So if they go looking for her at the Inn and don't see her, that'd be why. That'd also be why a certain other Dragonslayer won't be there. That message passed, she closed the phone and tucked it into her pocket before glancing at her partner. ]
Before we head back, I want to stop and pick up some things. [ Bandages and such mainly. For obvious reasons. ]

Strangely okay and...internally panicked that is. She glanced at their joined hands for a moment, fidgeting slightly, finally deciding that she could avoid his gaze for only so long before he picked up on it. It was a moment more before she risked glancing in his direction. ]
S...so you can stop ...worrying...
[ And wondering what she 'can't' around him, right? Right? ]
no subject
As long as you're happy I won't worry.
no subject
like a weirdo. ]I'm happy....
[ She could probably be happier but...admitting things ... yeah. Didn't make the urge to steal a kiss like a sneaky sneak go away though. He was just...so close and he wasn't even -looking- at her, and that peaceful smile and... oh god. ]
no subject
Then I'll be sure to keep it that way.
no subject
Good... as long as you're with me...
[ She cuts herself short with an odd noise and the next thing he might indeed be surprised by is the lightest touch of her lips against his, her hand gripping his. Though she wasn't watching him - she couldn't bring herself to do that, her eyes having closed, her left hand bunching up in his scarf.
She sure does like surprising him, doesn't she? Though ...she hadn't really intended on that at all - it just sort of...happened. ]

Instead he was more focused on how close he wanted Lucy. A desire that sprung completely out of the blue but he still pulled the girl in close, slowly as their lips moved against one another.]

And with him pulling her towards him she was really not wanting to pull away any either. Even when she had to break the kiss to catch her breath, she felt her head tilting slightly to kiss him again, to feel his lips against hers more, practically melting in his arms. Possibly due to knowing subconsciously she would resist this when she came to her senses again, and wanting the connection with him for just a few minutes more. ]

We expecting a package or something?
[Still not letting go of Lucy though.]
no subject
Wha... o-oh... uh... I...I think so. Just a book... [ He could keep on holding her like that though, she wasn't moving. Not yet. The book could wait a moment more and it was... so...so nice with him holding her like this. ]
[ ... Gah! Wait, no, isn't this how she got in 'trouble' in the first place? ]
no subject
Huh. Well I guess you wanna go get it right away then.
[Stilll not letting go though. She's going to have to ask for her freedom.]
no subject
She swallowed, feeling her heart start to race just at the thought. ]
Why?
[ ... Wait, no, that's not what she meant. ]
I... I mean... yeah, I... I should...
[ That totally counts as 'let me go' right? ... so he's going to let go of her now, right? She waited a few moments after that statement, but ... Erm. He's... uh... not letting her go. Honestly she...didn't really want to move. It's be nice to just stay there and curl up against him with a good book -- oh god what is she even THINKING. ]
no subject
Do you wanna?
[Since the mailman already dropped it through the mail slot.]
no subject
...I have to.
[ Though -that- was more because she felt that if she stayed close to him like this any longer she'd end up getting comfortable, or worse, trying to kiss him again. ]
I...I can't just leave it there.
[ Getting dirty on the floor and...stuff. Augh but she really didn't want to; this was bad! ]
no subject
Mmmmm okaaay if you really have to.
[Look you made him pouty now. Feel the force of the pouty dragon as his arms finally release from around her.]
Pouty Face vs Pouty Face. FIGHT!
One good thing about him not thinking so hard about things and just going with the flow is she wouldn't have to answer any awkward questions. She could even pretend it never happened
until it happened again. She studied his face a moment, before sitting down next to him - though of course, not as close as she was since she was out of his arms. She couldn't help but wish otherwise though. ]... don't look like that... [ She hated seeing him pout, especially when she knew she was responsible. ]
What am I supposed to do about that? [ What did he want from her already? ...besides for her to stop overthinking things. ]
Who will be the victor in POUTING KOMBAT!
At her question he just shakes his head with a sigh though the pouting doesn't soften all that much.]
Nothing. It's a book you were looking forward to so I bet you're itching to start reading it.
ME! MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. . . . well actually, probably him.
... it can wait. [ Sure, NOW it can wait. She set the book aside on the table. ] Besides, it's just a copy of a book I was writing.
[ She fidgets a little, not sure how to fix the situation. He only started pouting when she pulled away from him, but... ]
[KO Lucy wins]
Eh really?! What's it about?!
Woohoo, literary knock out!
It's about a policewoman and her robot sidekick who were transferred to a new city to try and help capture a notorious jewel thief rumored to be a dangerous murderer. It's got ...kind of a bittersweet ending, to it. I want to make a sequel, and give it a happier ending in the wrap up.
XDDD
Layla Starr? Didn't you say you wrote this?
[But he quickly forgets about that as Lucy gives a short synopsis to it.]
Bitter sweet huh? Then you should totally write that sequel when you got the time.

I did... I just didn't use my name when I sent it in. It's a pretty common practice for some writers to use a pseudonym.
[ And if anyone she knew stumbled across it, she wanted an honest opinion and not a bias because they knew her. ]
I will, I just... haven't thought of one yet.
[ Still she couldn't help but smile at the printed book, relaxing against the couch. And him. ]
