[The face on the screen isn't one that would be considered friendly. It's the face of a man in his late twenties with bags under his eyes that are so heavy it looks as if he hasn't slept in at least a month. He frowns, taking a moment to think as he sighs heavily.]

I'll make this brief. My name is Trafalgar Law and I, like many others, am new to this city. I've read the pamphlets, I've seen the video, and I've done some preliminary information gathering so I don't need any hellos or welcomes.

I'm looking for my crew. If you know of anyone who claims affiliation with the Heart Pirates, I'd appreciate it if you could point me in their direction.

[And with that the video feed is cut. No pleasantries included.]

[Law has only been here for a couple of days by this point, so he'll be spending most of his time wandering the city in order to get his bearings. He's also looking for a job. Surely there's a need for a doctor somewhere.]

I haven't heard of anyone affiliating themselves with that name as of yet. So far as I can tell, you're the only member of your crew present.

[There's a little bit of a smirk in his voice thanks to that little bit of emphasis.]

Yes, I've heard there's a few other crews around the city. Some of Whitebeard's and Straw Hat's if the information I received was correct.

[you're being stalked, Law. But honestly he's just wondering how close he can get, tamping down his haki and everything]

[Not very, to be honest.

Law notices that he's being followed almost immediately. Ace may be tamping down his haki, but Law has a few more years of experience at detecting it. He doesn't say anything for a few minutes, doesn't even look back, or find it necessary to acknowledge his stalker's presence.

It's only when Ace gets to within a few feet of him that he finally says something, but he still doesn't bother turning around and the lazy annoyance in his voice is more than apparent.]

I wouldn't recommend coming much closer if I were you.

[he's impressed.

He circles a perimeter around him like a cat, taking him in]

Trafalgar Law huh? [hmm. hmmmm. Nice style. Nice hat. Ace liked his sword, too. The finger tattoos are kind of overdoing it a bit in Ace's opinion, but rookies these days.]

Heart Pirates is as interesting choice. Do you take them or break them?

*There's another newbie in town who also happens to be looking for a job. She's been pacing around the city all day handing out her handwritten CVs, and now she's just tired with wandering. Tired enough that as she's staring down at the paper in her hand she manages to march straight into someone else. In her surprise, Sonico yelps and starts, dropping the remaining CVs to the ground*

Oh! Oh no! Oh dear! I'm sorry! So sorry!

[Here's hoping Sonico wasn't expecting help in picking those up because Law sure as hell isn't going to.

Instead, he just looks at her. His eyes sharp and cold, the look on his face is nothing short of condescending despite the fact that he hasn't said a word to her. When he does speak, his voice is cool and even, tinged with annoyance.]

Tch. Watch where you're going.

I am afraid I have heard of no pirates by that name here, unfortunately. There are quite a few of the Whitebeard pirates though, and a couple of others...

[ She's thinking, pausing for a bit. ]

One is a man with a very strange face who seemed excitable to hear about the other, a boy in a straw hat named Luffy. I do not know if there are more pirates than them here however.

[Law all but groans at that description. He knows exactly who she's talking about.]

I know who that is, unfortunately. His name is Bartolomeo.

I've only talked to 3 so far: Smoker, Tashigi, and the kid with the pink hair. Who's the other?

[so, another one... He doesn't bother to introduce himself figuring Law will hear about him already... But he wonders if there will be more. There seems to be a pattern. Two for two. Pirate for Marine. Could he just be imagining it? Maybe...

He gets up to get a refill of tea and his dog steps on the communicator... so Law have a small fluffy face with a sparkly bow tied somewhere in the fluff around its neck panting at you and barking.]

[He leans close to his own communicator, eyebrows scrunching up as he watches the dog for a moment.]

Whoever this is, you left your communicator on.

I've not seen any of your nakama though. It's been mostly marines and Ace and his nakama.

He's all set to have a normal conversation like a normal human being, but then Luffy is Luffy and he says something that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.]

[Clearly the world has a strange sense of humor, because she had hardly expected to run into Trafalgar again. But since she's pretty sure he's seen her, she makes an effort to at least be cordial.]
