Valentine's Auction & Party!

WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start. The GCPD are in attendance as well to help keep the peace.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

[It's a rather selfish and dark reason, and she didn't want to divulge too much so soon.]

Test what? You do realize if someone did buy you, you might end up something bad! I mean, most of them are older than you!

"If my theory is correct, only one person will bid on me, and it will be someone whom I am close to."

"Then let's hope no one bids on me. Otherwise, my theory will be false."

I just hope no one will. Who knows what happens if they did?

[He knows that he's just overreacting, but he can't stand to see a young girl with a same age as him going out with an older guy.]

[It seems if she's going to give her best explanation, she'll need to reveal what she's really doing, despite how morbid it is. She lowers her voice so only Tony can hear.]

"...This auction seems like a good way to determine who has any worth to people. If no one bids on me, then it would show that nobody cares about me. It wouldn't matter if I saved a town, or if I was injured or anything.

If anyone does bid on me, which is not likely, then it would be someone I know taking pity on me."

[Anastasia glanced away. She doesn't like to be this dark, but with everything that happened, it would be a miracle for her to stay optimistic.]

"Anyways... I do apologize for my negative speak." [Looking back to Tony.] "I will make it up by saying that if a man of malicious intent did win the bid for me..."

[With her hands together, light blue and black ribbons of unusual energy appeared and swirled around her hands, demonstrating that she is capable of magic.]

"...I'll be able to take care of myself."

[Tony became surprised once Anastasia explained her plans as he thought of her as being just a goody-two-shoes girl. Yet he starts to feel sorry for her, wondering what her past is like.

Then once Anastasia demonstrate her magic powers, Tony's eyes widen as he becomes disbelief at what he saw.]

Woah! W-What was that?!

[She is a good girl, but she does have a bad habit of wandering off to explore her surroundings. Signing herself up for the auction was one such example of her wandering off.]

"It's magic. I'm not strong enough to fight off anyone, but with magic, I have a chance. All though, it's difficult to do, it takes time for me to weave them and, depending on what I use, can wear me out quickly. But, my magic is really powerful, so I should only need to cast something once to send any bad guys away."

[Of course, he managed to regain his composure once she explained about her abilities as he often believes in these strange events.]

Wow! I always believe that magic, monsters, and ninjas are real, but I never thought you can use it!

Of course, Lee, Marc, and Megan always told me that none of them exists.

"I take it you are new here? What may not exist in our respective home worlds will definitely exist here in Genessia.

Do you have any abilities? They will be valuable here, in protecting yourself and making money."

Yeah, I've just arrived here yesterday. Although I got grounded before I did...

So does that means that dragons, fairies, and wizards exist here?

[Once she asks him regarding his abilities, he starts to grow nervous as his only unique skills he has are his spy skill. But he can't tell her that!]

Umm... Well... I can dance and sing...

"There are dragons and wizards, yes. If fact, I think there are a couple of dragons around here. And for a few days back in October, I was turned into a fairy."

[She is not impressed with his claim to dance, since he already proved he can't. But she'll give him the benefit of the doubt with singing.]

"Maybe you can sing for donations?"

[Once he hears this, he became excited that the city he was kidnapped to has some magical creatures that his siblings thought never exists.]

Awesome! I thought I was sent here to torture me or something, but this is an awesome city I ever been on!

[Worst lie ever indeed. But at least the singing part is very true as he once in the Glee Club back in his school.]

Sort of. Do you want to hear me sing right now?

"Genessia isn't the only city, if you didn't know. There's Attleton, which is "modern," whatever that means. Fayren, where all the swords and magic and stuff are. Nova City, which is super "hi-tech." And Everglade, where scary things live."

[Hear him sing? That depends. Will she regret it?]

"I see no harm in it. But wouldn't it be hard to sing with music playing?"

[Once he heard about these different cities, Tony couldn't contain his excitement at what they have to offer. While he knew what she meant about Attleton, he might try to visit Fayren, Nova City, and Everglade when he has time for it.

As for his singing...]

Nah, I'll just sing to that music they're playing right now.

[Like he said, he then sings to the music they're playing. But of course, his voice is similar to a screeching cat which to the point anyone nearby might hear his singing.]

[Anastasia winced when the singing started. She tried to be polite and not cover her ears, so she instead held her hand up to stop him.]

"Okay, okay, that's enough. Y-You don't want to lose your voice."

[Thankfully for her, Tony stops singing and returns to his seat, who is oblivious at how many people are staring at him right now.]

"...I know someone who can help you...get better."

[The nicest way she can put it.]

"I got lessons from her, and I believe they worked."

[As soon he heard her critique regarding his "singing", Tony is dismayed to hear this as his siblings once criticize it as well. However, she did recommends him about a singing tutor, but...]

Are you sure she will help me with my singing?

[He might try to tell the truth regarding his real talents, but he feels that WOOHP or his siblings might kill him if he did.]

"All I did was walk up to her and ask if she can teach me, and she only needed about an hour or two to teach me. She won't turn anyone away... Unless you insult her somehow.

It's up to you if you want to take lessons, though."

[Whoever her music tutor is, she sounds pretty nice. Well almost as he's completely worried about what happens if he insults her.]

Well, I'll try. What's her name exactly?

"Her name is Sonico. She has pink hair and is really nice. I bet she's going to get a lot of bids on the auction."

[Unlike her. She'll be lucky to get even one bid higher than 1 red bill.]

[Weird name for a girl, he thought. Yet when he sees the picture of the said pink-haired girl on the monitor for the date auction, he quickly thinks of her a beautiful. However, he stops thinking about it when he remembers Anastasia's warning.]

I can see that. Maybe I'll try asking her after her winning date...

[He's got no other choice as he doesn't have the budget to beat the others' prices on her.]

"Don't be nervous about talking to her, okay? And speaking of the auction, I...better get to the stage for my turn. It shouldn't take long."

[With that, Anastasia politely excuses herself. She'll only get two bids.]
