I can't believe I have to say this, but since there's nothing stopping people who have committed murder here from running for City Guardian, apparently I do. You shouldn't vote for actual murderers like Reiner Braun and Roman Torchwick unless you like the idea of trusting an entire city to someone who either admits they murdered someone and does a bad job of even showing any regret or someone who's questionably claiming they're redeemed after...a few weeks? Even if he does claim he's trying to make up for his mistakes, you don't just suddenly lose all of your bad habits like criminal acts in a short amount of time and try to take on that kind of position without an ulterior motive.

This whole thing is stupid. It's stupid. I'm done talking about it. Just...if you want to know more about the crimes they committed while they were here, I can answer your questions. I doubt I'll convince other murderers unless they want the position for themselves.

Nah dude, it's cool. I don't think we, as a society, are insane enough to think murder is a-ok. Well, unless you're Weiss or you're talking about Everglade at night.

I don't know, maybe some people come from worlds where murder is normal. Isn't that a possibility? And can we leave Weiss out of this it's thanks to her we're safer than we were before.

I can also back up what Jaune is saying. Reiner killed one of my friends here and Torchwick is from our world.

[Torchwick is from the city that Ryou is working out of. So he's a little concerned for more than one reason. Not that he's ready to just judge the guy. But he probably needs to also consider Jaune's side.]

Reiner never implied he wanted to make amends. As for Torchwick, I think he just wants to win people over. Running for city guardian is taking it more than a step too far.

[Roman's first instinct was to respond privately, but he may as well make it public. He's allergic to honesty, but once in a blue moon it really is the best policy. Ugh.

He looks a little tired himself, despite his efforts to hide it with makeup. Neo's departure hit him harder than he's like to admit. But emotions are gross, so he's burying them in work, campaigning, and whiskey. It's a winning formula! It just comes at the expense of sleep.

As delightful as it would be to listen to a teenage boy's rants on justice, let's get one thing straight: I don't kill for the fun of it. Have I had fun killing? Absolutely! But if I'm a businessman, not a murderer. I find the option with the best net benefit, and I pick it. In the past, the best option might've involved a corpse or two. Thanks to my talks with Ms. Schnee, we've created an environment where it's better for me not to get involved in criminal affairs.

[That's half-true-- violence is right out, but he'd probably die of boredom if he had to go completely straight.]

So! Let's review. [He ticks off points on his fingers.] 1: Not a murderer. 2: Expert at helping myself. 3: Provided everyone sticks to the terms of the deal, helping Genessia is helping myself. QED, helping Genessia is my top priority.

[With that flawless proof, he spreads his palms and gives a blindingly bright smile.]

If you need proof of my qualifications, just look at my career! I'm a great leader with a record of bringing people together to get things done.

Bringing people together? [If only she could reach through a screen to strangle the smug bastard.] Like when the train crashed into the city and Grimm were set loose of the citizens? How many of the people you 'brought together' were killed that day? How many White Fang members who followed you died in those tunnels?

You committed an act of murder. Pretty sure that makes you a murderer, sketchy business aside.

What if, in some messed up reality where you'd actually win, someone came up with a deal better than Weiss's that involved anything illegal? You put yourself first, there's no reason for you to not betray Genessia in the future if it works in your best interest.

You were here when Levi made the announcement of Reiner's murder, right? Reiner admitted it himself. As for Roman, he murdered one of my friends during his previous time here. The person he murdered left too, but there is evidence on the network. He's admitted just as much and the fact that he thinks it's okay because it was in his best interest just shows he can't be trusted.

Blaze is going to have a lot of work to do for his own nomination to keep murderers out of the Guardian seat.]

I'd like to request extra intel on Torchwick, if it wouldn't be any trouble. I'm aware of Braun's recent announcement.

[He won't take solely Jaune's word on it, and intends on doing more research into it, but it would be a good starting point regardless. If it comes to it, he may talk to Roman himself.]

Roman murdered one of my friends from Remnant when he was here before. I don't know why he'll claim he did it, but he isn't someone you should trust. He was involved in stealing dust, a power source on our world, as well as leading an attack into Vale that could have gone even worse than it did. I realize our past actions don't matter in this place, even if they should, but people don't just change overnight either. If people think he deserves a second chance, that's one thing, it's another to put the wellbeing of that many people in his control.

Think of it this way Jaune: They won't win. They're welcome to run, the fact is that they still have to be elected. As long as the majority of people here are still good people and believe in doing what's right, they won't win.

If they want to protect Attleton [ which seems to be where most of the baddies are going ] or any other city, they should prove it first and earn both redemption and the title, rather than just expecting people to give it to them despite their crimes.

It's just, I don't know Reiner's reasons and I don't care, but this is a slap in the face for what you've done. How illegal is it to hurt Roman?

Torchwick is a gross murderer with too much eyeliner, but he's at least smart enough to where he has the ability to lead others which makes him more dangerous in a way. He murdered one of my friends during his previous time here, and that person has left too. They don't remember what happened and I'm not sure if anyone has brought it up with them. He was some sort of weird cliche crime leader back on Remnant. I know that doesn't matter here, but he isn't the type of person to put others before himself. He's unreliable at best, and dangerous at his worst.
