GENESSIA PROM!
For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:
1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open
III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.
Smile, everyone!
IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!
Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?
V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!
In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (
VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.
Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.
VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

Rika Furude . OTA
A. Lobby
[Rika arrives at the party a touch later than she had planned. Though she did invite Haga to come with her, she almost got cold feet... Prom is something that older teens do. While Rika is 16 now, she's still uncomfortable in her new "teen" identity.
She eventually falls to her old wallflower tendencies. Sitting at a couch with a table in front of her, and a deck of cards spread out in front of her. With no one to play with her, Rika has laid out a game of solitaire... Maybe someone can come make it Go Fish? Or multiple people for Poker? ... Or an accidental game of 52 pick-up?
*If you want a 3-way poker thread, hmu! Let's do this CR thing!*]
B. Wallflowers need to drink too
[Rika is a timid girl. Uncomfortable in her own teenage skin and extra anxious about being at this party... So she's struggling to reach the punch bowl. It could be as easy as asking someone to move out of the way, but Rika is wound-up. Will people here treat her as a kid? Is she ready to let go of her childish persona?? And why is that even though she's 16, her arm is too short to reach the punch bowl???
She struggles.]
C. Dance Floor
[Just gonna... watch... nervously. She wants to ask someone to dance with her, but who does she know well enough for that? Maybe it's time to pull out the genki cutie personality? Is that a "Furude Rika" thing to do? Geez. She wishes she knew how to function as a teenager.]
Lobby
So he had decided to linger in the lobby, having grabbed a drink and a small plate of food and finding a nearby place to sit down. Once he put sat down it slowly dawned on him someone was using the table in front of him, so he used the arm of the chair to balance the plate for the time being.]
What game are you playing, hm?
no subject
[She wasn't expecting anyone to address her. Rika looks up to Takeru, trying to gauge in her mind where her personality should fall for him. She's already gone and made a childish sound, though, so maybe she's done for.
Noticing the way he's balancing his plate, Rika moves to begin clearing up her game.]
It was solitaire. But I did not draw a good deck. [She explains away her ending the game abruptly,] Would you like to use the table?
no subject
[It was doing rather well, to say the least. Plus if she wanted to play another game he already knew that the table was the only place nearby. So he didn't mind at all. We knew when to be a gentleman after all.]
Have another go with your game, see if it's better this time.
lobby
He looked where Rika was with a deck of cards. He walked over, looked over her shoulder curiously.]
Hey, what are you doing?
[And why wasn't she dancing!!!]
no subject
[Rika leans back and turns her head, attempting to make polite eye contact.]
I am playing card games. They can be very fun, even when you are alone! [She asked Haga to come, sure, but she didn't invite him with the intention of dancing or anything. Rika's too shy for that anyway.]
Did you just arrive?
no subject
[Bridget sounds a little down saying it while keeping Rodger close to him. He nods.]
Yep. It's my first time attending something like this.
[He sets Rodger, the stuffed bear, next to Rika as he leans on the chair.]
The ones I'm used to are the ones with adults, it can be boring.
C
That seemed like a good idea to say the least. So she started to wander around, eyes looking from one side to another to see who was lingering by the wall when her eyes clocked on someone. Well best go ask at least, right?]
Do you want to dance?
no subject
[Rika realizes that her shy staring has been called out. Her cheeks redden slightly and she almost drops her gaze to her shoes. She does, but she's not sure how. It's a deeper problem than just not knowing any dance moves... Rika isn't sure how her personality is supposed to handle dancing.]
I-I... mii. I am not sure if I would be very good at it.
no subject
[This is something she had done at least once before. She didn't seem to mind if she looked dumb doing it, so long as she had fun with it.]
Think of it like playing a dancing game. It helps.
B. I'm finally answering you, bless!
And yet there he is, just kinda... looking at the crowd mingling and chatting and dancing, and just being his usual aloof self when it comes to large groups. At least no one has bothered him so far.
At some point, he spots Rika in the crowd, and moves a hand to wave at her, more out of politeness than anything, but quickly realizes she isn't exactly going to see him wave as she seems very focused on something. He looks to the side and sees the table where the punch bowl is resting, and the large crowd gathered around him.
And watches her struggle to try and reach the bowl.
He lets out a sigh. He can't believe he's about to go there and help her out.]
Hey, need a hand? [Haga asks as he approaches her, his expression still very neutral.]
