I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[Oh my. More sassy and brash Anastasia might just be what the doctor ordered. That said Satsuki has clearly made an error in letting Ted carry the conversation for this long. She has no one but herself to blame.]

He was the only one that asked me. [She finds it kind of sad, really, but it isn't like Satsuki has the same presence as she did as Guardian.] And he is not moving in with us.

[Anastasia still doesn't understand why Satsuki still said yes, or didn't deny or correct anything Ted said. Unless...]

...So there really is something between you two? Are you both formally and officially...romantic with each other?

[In Satsuki's mind she doesn't believe Ted is remotely worthy of courting her so of course they wouldn't be dating. Unfortunately the way Satsuki thinks isn't always exactly the common opinion- so when Anastasia asks if they're together, her brows furrow.]

No.

[That came out a little more aggressive than she wanted.]

And if we were, everyone would know.

[Because as far as she's concerned, Ted would have sung his praises to the heavens (or in this case the network) about they being a couple.]

Besides, I do not find romance to be a worthwhile goal.

[And Anastasia is contentedly following Satsuki's example. While she is at her heart's mercy, she makes an effort.

So with Satsuki's response, Anastasia shoots a disapproving look at Ted.]

[Gee Sats, that's some discouraging talk. Naturally that just makes him more humored and confident. Would he boast to the world? Absolutely. After she quits her heathenry, of course. Was that some self-pity he heard?]

Doubtless your many, many suitors were shier than I.

[Maybe they're intimidated by her astoundingly weird mom. And what's this about despair in romance?]

[A more strict Satsuki would hush Anastasia, but she's watching the two with interest. If their conversations regularly go like this, it's clear why Ana always seems annoyed when talking to Satsuki about him now.]

[She asides to Ted. She believes he knows what he's doing, however she isn't taking sides just yet, she wants to see where this goes. Satsuki intends to interject before Ted goes and ruins Ana's night with his nonsense though.]

[Practicing what? Well, fencing and martial arts partially. The other part is in controlling a parasite that makes him a walking WMD, but he's pretty sure he shouldn't mention that. Honestly he's not sure that even that really gets to the heart of it, but what "plain language" could explain the charity and gradual conforming of wills?]

["In private practice." Anastasia narrowed her eyes, but realized if he stated it that way, then it's not a continuation of his foolery. Then she softened up considerably.]

...So you're still taking sword lessons?

To my chagrin. Some day soon I hope she'll run out of things to teach me, and then we'll fulfill that wonderful proverb of students surpassing masters.

[He looks around, in mild anticipation, at the ballroom]

The things that are left to teach are more about mental focus than physical ability. His combat prowess is greater than one might expect.

[She glances to Ted. Him teaching her something? In the past she would have laughed that idea off- Currently she's curious. And maybe a little nervous.]

If it involves duet singing, I refuse. [Then to Ana.]

How are things going along with you and Soma? I imagine this must be his first prom outing.

[Anastasia glanced about to see if Soma was coming back from doing whatever it was he needed to do. He's not, so she still has time.]

He's been tense and somewhat hesitant. I don't know if it's because this is his first prom, or...something else.

[Like the fact he came with her.]

[A thoughtful expression crosses her features.]

If you are looking for advice, perhaps you two should take a short walk outside. A more serene atmosphere may get him to open up to you.

[Anastasia considers it. Perhaps some time alone together is what Soma needs. She is somewhat concerned about the "what if." What if they're seen, even if they're just walking and talking?]

That may be helpful. I'll have to ask him about it.

[Satsuki nods, silently hoping that goes well. She glances to the side a moment, spotting someone, but looks back to Ana at the question of curfew.]

[Then to Ted.]

[He grins at the compliment. Mental focus? Psh, easy.]

Suppose we'll save that for Jack's.

[Can't escape Karaoke night forever, Sats. He nods for her departure.]

[Anastasia reached into her little purse bag to check the time on her phone. There's still a good few hours so she might get bored and go home before 11. She stows her phone and looks to Ted.]

U~nless you want to talk, I should probably go see what's keeping my date.

[No bringing up that suspicious rabbit movie, though.]
