I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[EATING AND DRINKING]

[Because he doesn't like dancing or having his picture taken or talking to people or indeed, leaving his house at all.

He came along because Tannusen had insisted, so Cassian is doing what all lonely, socially awkward losers do when they have to go to a public party with food: Hit the punch bowl and support the wall.

While he personally will not be spiking the punch, there's no missing the silver hip flask that keeps topping off his personal cup of punch, until the drink is probably more scotch than juice at this rate.

Look, if he has to be outside, talking to strangers, he needs to be as un-sober as possible.

It'd seem like Tannusen actually managed to get him out of the usual priestly uniform too, and while he does look pretty sharp in the frankly quite gothic getup, he'd look handsomer if he wasn't busy glaring at his drink like it'd personally offended him.]

"There he is," Tannusen slid up beside the priest, "the most handsome man in all the land." And with a flourish, he produced another -- full -- flask and offered it to Cassian. "I thought you could use a refill, love."

The tiger pooka wasn't dressed all that differently from normal. A blue plaid suit, tonight; but he was always either in a three-piece suit or in biker jeans and tight-fitting graphic t-shirts, there was no in between.

He could, indeed, use more alcohol, he will never say no to more alcohol. The second flask is immediately added to the 'punch' in his cup, now 99% scotch.

"Everyone looks like a child in here- Ye know they got chaparones about?" ITS A PROM U BOOB.

"How many d'ye think are thirteen years old in here?"

"Don't know," once Cassian was done dumping booze into his cup and had a free hand, Tannusen moved to try to take it. "Don't care. Besides, shouldn't you like chaperones being involved? 'Leave room for jesus!'"

"At least we'd have some more bloody goddamn alcohol if Jesus was here."

He twines his fingers around Tannusen's though, moving to rest his head gently against him.

"Ye look sharp, though I don't imagine ye need anyone confirmin' that for ye."

Tannusen moves their linked hands around so that he can loop that arm around Cassian's shoulders without letting go. "Not as sharp as you, darling. I'm glad you felt okay about going out in public this time."

"Well I'm not dead yet, but the night's still young. Got plenty of time to piss off some emotionally unstable, overpowered infant in a mans body."

He drains the cup before going to toss it. Looks like it'll be straight whiskey for the rest of the night.

"Tis quiet over here though, the company is far more pleasurable in this corner of the room, at the very least. Want to take bets on how long 'twill be before someone tosses vodka in the punch?"

"I had something else in mind," Tannusen chuckles, and reaches for Cassian's other hand before he can resort to straight flasking it. "Can I coax you into a dance, mister Lynch?"

What no, he needs that u fuk. There's a string of soft, flustered cussing as he's denied sweet, sweet inebriation, before catching on to what just came out of Tannusen's mouth.

"... Luv I'm tiddled right to heavens gate an' back-" He's GONNA RUIN EVERYTHING IF HE DANCES DONT.

"Alright, fair enough," the tiger chuckles at all the cursing and drops a kiss to the top of Cass' head before releasing his whiskey hand. "You're so damn cute when you're flustered."

"Don't ye make me go pink when there's people about, ye devil." No he remembers falling out of that barstool. That had been in an empty bar.

He can and will get impossibly flustered right here and now, it doesn't matter that they're engaged.

"Why ever would I do that?" Oh. Uh oh. The twinkle of mischief is as clear in that purring voice as it is in his pretty blue eyes. "Cute little lamb..."

VENGEANCE IS HIS!

"DON'T-" There is literally nothing for him to hide his rose colored face in right now except for the absolute demon standing next to him.

He'll take it, but he's also going to slosh scotch on him in the process because who said we can't be petty?

"Ye beast."

Tannusen accepts his punishment, grinning over Cassian's head at the world at large. Jackpot!

"Don't worry mi amado, mi corderito, no one's paying us any mind."

Now you'll smell like the bar that you own, you big jerk. There's a soft wheeze despite the reassurance, the priest shooting Tannusen a look.

"Won't be that way for long if ye keep pickin' at me."

Tannusen just grinned down at Cassian, "Whatever do you mean, you gorgeous, girthy man?"

Wheeze.

Cassian's hand thumped against Tannusen's chest, unwilling to show his face anymore.

Not that it mattered, the smile had forced its way up despite all his best efforts. DICK.

"You're gonna be sleepin' on the couch."

"Gasp!" Yes, he just said that out loud, the grin still right there in his voice. "For complimenting you? You're so cruel!"

"Ye know what ye said, don't play dumb." That girthy joke is going to haunt him to his goddamn grave, he's not entirely sure it won't be in the epitaph on his headstone.

"Is this punishment for gettin' too sloshed to dance?"

"Maaaybe," Tannusen looped his other arm around Cassian's shoulders too, since the priest was so intent on hiding his face. And swayed, just a little bit, side to side. "I could hear that smile, by the way."

"I have a right to me misery." Spoken with his face jammed into Tannusen's chest, muffled but distinct.

Of course he moved with him when Tannusen moved, he wasn't about to play the 'go limp so you can't pick me up' game here.

"A man can be surly and ill tempered if he wants."

"And I can find you irresistibly adorable if I want," Tannusen countered, keeping up the gentle swaying. "My delightfully surly, booze-soaked potato man."

"Were ye anyone else in the world, I'd punch your smug face right off of your face." And he couldn't have stated that in a more warm, loving tone, finally giving in and wrapping his arms around Tannusen's waist.

"Tis revenge for callin' ye lamb, isn't it?"

Tannusen's perfectly happy with this turn of events, just swaying along. "Apparently calling you lamb is good revenge! Who knew it worked on you, too?"

"Gonna have to up my game. Bring out the big guns now. Ye've wakened a sleepin' giant now, mate."

He'd managed to entirely forget all the anxiety attached to going anywhere out of uniform, thanks in part to the scotch...

But mostly to Tannusen, even just totally ignoring the fact that they were, technically, dancing over here.
