GENESSIA PROM!

I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

II | Lobby

[ Social events were always a little strange to attend to Sertoria. She's so used to being in the bakcground, even now, however she's getting adjusted to being more prevalent. Today, she's wearing a predominately white floor-length dress with a golden trim that wraps all around her. Her hair, normally left hanging freely, has been braided and the end is tied with a white ribbon thanks to Uai.

And, what's even more telling of the angel's ensemble is that most of her jewelry is absent from her person. However, what's present is her beloved's pin hanging by a simple gold chain around her neck, designed by Era herself. To complete her ensemble is a pair of small heels.

Since she was invited by Dove, she thought it would be nice to invite Angela as well as Lunafreya here too. For now, Sertoria's content to just observe others in the lobby, waving at those she recognizes and making smalltalk when needed. ]

IV | Eating/Drinking

[ Ever since Uai had jumpstarted her appetite that she hadn't anticipated needing in Genessia, food has been a more welcome thing instead of something completely foreign and unnecessary. She's curbed her insatiable hunger well by now thanks to storing reserves when they're needed, but it's always good to have more energy on hand just in case if it's necessary.

The drinks, however, is something that she's more curious about. She's only had water and smoothies, but she's curious about the fruit punch. It smells sweet, but she's heard about people potentially adding alcohol to it. Although she's sure her tolerance is much higher than a human's is and there's the question if she can get drunk. Still, though, she's not about to try it just because it's something new. ]

V | Dance Floor

[ Sertoria's not the dancing type, however if asked, she'll happily oblige. She's content to watch others dance for now, smiling at the others. The angel is happy to see others having a good time, honestly, and that's more than enough for her. ]

Is the braid holding up?

[Uai is here to fake a social life. What better way to start than with Sertoria???

No, actually. He does genuinely care about that braid. His pride as a decent father is riding on his ability to make lasting braids.]

Do you really like it...? [He half expected her to take it out as soon as he was out of sight.]

[ There's a face she knows! Sertoria's smile is bright towards Uai along with a nod towards him. ]

It is. I stated this previously, but I do appreciate you doing my hair for me for this event.

[ Her choice of hairstyle was maybe going to be a ponytail, or did what she did every day. However, she's trying to be a bit better about variation here. ]

I have been considering wearing a braid more often, actually, due to the work you did. [ Guess who's just so happy about the braid she's wearing, Uai. ]

[OH. He didn't expect her to be that happy with it.

Uai has to avert his gaze. Her kindness has a deep effect on him... He's always happy to please Sertoria and repay his imaginary debt to her. Even more so, he likes to think his daughters felt the same about their braids.]

W-Well. It's not that hard. [He messes with his own braid, then stops. Embarrassed to realize they have matching hairstyles.]

[ Yet again, there's a light chuckle after his reaction. But, she's quick to shake her head after it in a polite gesture. Sertoria's glad to have this kind of relationship with Uai, especially since she feels like maybe her faith in him wasn't misplaced. ]

Mm... You will have to show me how to braid my hair. Unless if you would like to check over my work for me and make adjustments when necessary.

[ He's more experienced than her when it comes to braiding hair, and while she's eager to learn, it's an excuse to spend more time with him as well as get to know him more.

What would the downside to that even be? ]

[Uai is watching his tongue. He doesn't want to like Sertoria too much, but it's hard. She's someone who seems to, if not understand him, want to understand him. It helps too that she has the aura of omnipotent beings to her, which is comforting on this mortal plane.

He looks back at her shyly.]

I'm sure you'd be good at it... But it's a good skill to have. Not just for hair, but... sewing, mending, ropes... [Trying to really justify spending more time together.]

[ The corners of Sertoria's lips are threatening to curve into a bit of a teasing smirk in Uai's direction at the way he's acting around her. True, she's trying to not form such an attachment to him as well since the last time she did, she had to start over again with bonds. And that hurts -- but maybe he won't leave.

Regardless, she smiles warmly towards him, nodding firmly. She understands what he's trying to convey. He doesn't have to worry. ]

We can spend all the time together with you playing with my hair and I, in turn, can tell you more about myself. How does that sound?

... Yes. Fair.

[And he can call it "information gathering." That sounds fair and safe for his tunnel vision. Though, the way she phrased it as 'playing with her hair' is a touch embarrassing... Especially considering that it's the most intimate thing he could do with Hana near the end.]

Um, but... [He's turning red,] "Playing with your hair" is a bit... uh...

Since it was dangerous to directly touch me... That's how Hana and I... used to, um.

[Kill him before he has to explain any further.]

[ See, Uai, this is the upside to conversing with an angel. Whatever he's alluding to is sadly lost on her, so she doesn't actually see why he's getting so flustered. Her eyes blink just once, followed by a slight tilt of her head. ]

Was it the only way the two of you could touch one another without her getting harmed? That is very smart of you to do. I do not think that it is something you should get embarrassed about.

[ Honestly, why is he getting so embarrassed? ]

[Does he have to spell it out to her?! This is embarrassing...!]

I mean-- I don't want to be having d-da... da-da... dates with you.

[He actually covers his face.]

[ Despite better intentions? Soldier: 76 knows he is going to catch attention. The red lense from the visor will catch the right amount of light and draw eyes to him. Which is why he keeps his back to the lobby as much as possible. His arms cross, body straight and at attention. More like he's there for a fancy military party than an occasion for teenagers to make a fool of themselves.

Now, he's just waiting for Angela to make herself known so he can get this out of the way sooner rather than later. ]

[ There came a benefit to being a wallflower, for lack of a better phrase. It allowed oneself to observe those who were also acting as wallflowers. Her azure eyes catch a glimpse of the red visor that Soldier: 76 is wearing, which garners a raise of her brow. How...peculiar, but it isn't the oddest thing she's seen.

Sertoria walks over from where she was standing to meet him, wearing a rather pleasant smile on her countenance. ]

Hello. Did you just arrive here?

To the dance or to Genessia?

[ A casual statement trying to figure out what she's getting at. ]

Either way, not too long ago.

[ With many thanks given to those that helped her with finding a dress, Lunafreya stands at the "bar" in a white and blue dress. Around her neck is her ever present crescent moon necklace, and the promise ring still on her finger. What might be new to some is the emblem that lay on her breast. Those of Eos will know it, of course, but many others may not.

Lunafreya reaches up and serves herself a drink. ]

[ While debating getting herself a drink, Sertoria takes notice that Lunafreya is obtaining one of her own. She hasn't seen anyone put anything in the punch, so it has to be safe, right? A shake of her head is what follows next and her attention is diverted to Lunafreya's choice of dress. Goodness, she looks rather breathtaking. ]

Are you enjoying yourself so far, Lunafreya?

[ Lunafreya turns at the sound of a familiar voice and offers a kind smile. Her gaze drifts towards the dance floor. She holds the cup in her hands. ]

I am. It is... different from what I am used to. [ Her head tilts slightly. ] Most parities I have been apart of have the same amount of guests, but, they tend to be those you would find around the tables of kingdoms.

[ Era is happy to see another familiar face arrive. Sertoria looks beautiful, and her smile broadens when she notes that her friend is wearing the necklace Era made for her. There's a bit of a crowd between them, giving her a bit of trouble trying to get over to the other woman, but she's used to crowds that tower over her so it doesn't slow her down too much.

She gives Sertoria a small wave. ]

Sertoria. You look beautiful tonight.

[ She makes Era feel plain and underdressed for the occasion. Though the same could be said of most of the women and girls who have arrived thus far. Despite her love of goldsmithing Era isn't wearing any jewelry save for her wedding rings and a pair of earrings glamoured to look like her old Shire ones - not that her horns and hair make it very obvious she's wearing any. Her dress is short and of a simple cut. Flattering, but plain save for the fabric flowers she sewed onto it.

Aymeric would like how she looks though, minimal makeup and nothing done to her hair beyond a good brushing. She supposes that's what matters the most. ]
