GENESSIA PROM!

I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

A. Hotel Lobby

[Uai is here to fake his social life. If something goes wrong later with his awful scheming, he wants to have 'friends' to fall back to... That, and some people who have actually wormed into his heart are here. He needs to make sure they're happy, and break the arms of their dates if something goes wrong. No pressure.

That said, his attire, reflects his omniversal life. At least he isn't wearing his library attendant outfit? If he knows your muse, even if only vaguely, he'll throw a smile and a wave. If not... 100% scowls.]

B. Outside the Building, Actually

[About mid-evening, Uai escapes the building with a glass of punch. He can be found lingering outside and enjoying the real stars. Not because he dislikes the decorations: It's the opposite. Feeling like he's "in space" again is making his really homesick. If anyone approaches him suddenly, Uai will drop his punch all over his white suit like an idiot.]

Au-- Sorry! I mean-- [Wait, he's the one who got splashed. By himself.] ... Sorry. I'm in your way.

[In a blink, the stain is magically gone.]

Uai, right?

[Azure inquired before looking equally startled over him being startled, going so far as to jump a little in response. Thankfully she didn't spill her drink on herself.]

Ah! I'm sorry to have scared you, I didn't mean to do that.

[She then blinked, staring quizzically at his suit. Didn't she just...watch him spill punch all over it? Maybe her mind was playing tricks on her...]

I wasn't scared. [You're also not six, so please act your age.

Uai averts his gaze, still flustered by his obvious clumsiness.]

What do you need?

Ah, if you say so.

[Azure didn't seem all too convinced but it wasn't her place to judge either.]

I just wanted to say hello again, I hope you are doing well.

[Azure gave him a smile, this prom thing seemed to be all about saying hello to people, no matter how little or how much you know them. Are well as dancing and enjoying food.]

R-Right.

[With his suit clean and Azure not questioning it further, he presses to move the conversation along... the added fact that he is still incredibly awkward.]

Are you headed home? You know the party is inside the building, right?

I'm aware of the party's location, I needed a break from all the music and people. It's a bit overwhelming but fun as well.

Fair... When the music is that loud, you can feel it as loudly as you hear it.

[Uai, on the other hand, is worried about hurting people.]

Got a bit too crowded for me. I may be calling it a night.

Leaving early? I'm sorry to hear that, did you get to dance with anyone at all tonight?

[Azure tilted her head curiously, she understood wanting to leave early but it also seemed like the party was just getting started.]

So even you're here at this fancy event!

[ Neptune didn't really know about prom till recently so she's under dressed. ]

[Which suits him just fine. Her being under dressed leads to him dropping his false formalities.]

Hey, it's the 4th Wall Breaker! You're not here to crash the party, are you? [He would support that, by the way. This is all getting rather boring for him.]

Well I didn't know about this big old party till recently so I don't know if that's considered crashing it still.

I'll give you a free pass this time, then.

You having fun so far?

It's interesting, most of the big fancy parties I go to back home are super up tight so this is a nice change of pace.

Such a serious expression, Uai!

[ she noticed that scowl, mister faker. she spotted the guy before he got the chance to throw one of those smile and waves in her direction. monika, dressed up and dateless, is quick to close any gap between them after that exclamation. as one of the only people she knows, he's getting her immediate attention. so she's right next to him, hands behind her back and leaning forward to give his face a good close look. ]

[Oops. Of course Monika would be the one to catch him scowling. Uai momentarily tries to maintain the fake smile, but the effort is ruined when she leans forward. Now he's just embarrassed.]

Monika--- Uh, hey! Should have known you would be here. [Looking away now, as if that will make him look any less awkward.] Have you been having fun?

[He won't address the comment about his expression.]

Hmmm... [ she puts her pointer fingers on the corner of her mouth, pulling them outwards and smiling along with it. ] You're way better at making a smile than I am, huh? [ he's not addressing it but she's not letting it go forever. he seems uncomfortable so it'll get dropped once he's clearly trying to change the subject though. ]

I've been having a great time! I've never been to any party before and a prom is such a fantastic starter one. Have you tried doing anything yet?

[He is still refusing to let his scowl show, but his smile remains awkward. At least she seems genuinely happy.]

Practice. [It would be wrong if he didn’t address her, at least. Even if he doesn’t want to discuss it too much. Especially when she says she’s having fun.]

I haven’t been to a “prom” before either. And no, I’ve done nothing yet. Just watching the crowd... I’m not good at dancing and I don’t need to eat, so, [He shrugs. Tellig white lies is fine, right?] Have you been keeping busy?

Acting is a useful talent to practice. [ curious uai needs to pretend to smile though. she knows better than to press about it, but there's a knowing look to her own smile. ]

You don't need to eat? [ there's a thoughtful pause. guess she doesn't really need to either? though the way the game's story was written implied starving to death was a possibility for at least one of them so she never really thought about just not doing it. ] But you can, right? If you wanted to taste something? [ hmm. hmmm. ]

I've been keeping myself busy. Just watching a crowd isn't much fun though, Uai. You need to participate a little to have any sort of good time. Would you like to learn how to dance?

I suppose I could, but it would be such a waste. Food is a valuable part of human survival and I don't want to take it from you.

[That's his excuse. The real answer? Uai is a sour apple who refuses to have 'fun' while at prom. He wanted to be here with Hana, but she didn't come.

The offer to dance, at least, gets a sincere answer out of him. He does like dancing, actually. He was quite good at it when he was human. There's just a small detail that makes it impossible as 'Uai.']

I apologize, I've kept a secret from you. Forgive me. [He pulls his white gloves on more tightly, even though they don't actually help his problem.] I'm incredibly dangerous to touch. If anyone even bumped into me on accident, they'd suffer extreme pain and possibly a burn.

[Quick to gloss over this, he motions to the dance floor.] But don't let me stop you. Boys will be falling over you if you join the dance floor.
