I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[He initially thinks that all of those things sound boring... But if his family were here, he knows it would be different. So he decides to reign in his opinion.]

[Actually, he is. He hates seeing everyone so happy and content in Genessia. In his mind, being too happy here means betraying those who miss you.]

[Uai keeps a smile. He may hate all of the happiness here, but he won't take it out on anyone. Least of all a child. So he nods and bows politely, partially out of habit. He's used to being polite and behaving as per Alyce's orders.]

Of course. I can't very well leave a lady on her own, now can I? [He shifts his gaze to the snack table.] Anything you recommend?

[Anastasia returns the gesture with a curtsy in gratitude.]

I personally like the fruits.
[So you might want to leave those for her.]
I think I saw some bread rolls. Do you like bread rolls?

Did she say bread rolls? Uai perks.]

... Yes. A bit. [A LOT. For nostalgic reasons. Though,] I don't actually require food. I'm just curious. Do you also appreciate bread?

[She has to think about it.]

Hmm... I like buttered bread and potato bread. I'll eat them with tomato soup as well.

[That's fine. Uai remembers nights when he would just bake warm bread and make soup for Hana's supper. Though, there's no soup for the bread here...

Not that Uai can eat it.]

I see... Mm. That's a good way to eat it. [He nods.] The fruit is probably better for you. I think there's a fondue fountain?

[Fruit tastes better too.]

A fondue fountain? I don't think I saw that one.

[She only missed it because she wasn't actively looking. She saw strawberries and went right for them.]

Well, you don't get access to a fondue fountain everyday.

[He can imagine himself standing there with Hana, dipping things in chocolate as quickly as she can eat them. It's a shame that even the dragon Hana isn't here.]

It's at the end of the table. Might be worth a trip.

[It will be a cold day in hell if Anastasia ever passes up a chance to snack on chocolate-strawberries. She was already collecting a tiny dish full of strawberries.]

[Uai has to actively try, but he manages to push aside his bitterness. For now, looking after Ana isn't so bad.]

Let's make a few, then. I'm sure you date will enjoy them if you offer to share, hm?

[And that's when she gets another tiny dish and fills it with strawberries as well.

Once done, she takes both dishes, one in each hand and is ready to go.]

I hope Soma likes chocolate-dipped strawberries.

You'd have to be pretty crazy not to like chocolate strawberries.

[Speaking of, Uai is keeping his eyes peeled for the man he had seen Ana with. He'd like to be gone before he has to fake pleasantries with any strangers.]

Are strawberries the only fruit you want?

Hmm~
I like apples, oranges, cherries and grapes. But strawberries are my favourite. So I'm going to have my fill.

[She can't dip grapes anyway. No stems to hold on to.]

Well, as long as you leave some for the rest of us.

[He's teasing. Uai's doesn't need to eat, so sees no reason to indulge.]

Are there many strawberries and other fruits like them in your home world? I remember you saying it was icy cold there.

It's only my homeland that is cold. And we do have berries just like these, but there are fruits unique to Nivia as well.

We have snowberries, which I hear is poisonous in other lands. We also have snowblossoms, which appear like ice-blue roses. They have a fruit inside the bulb and has a variety of uses.

Is that so...? You know, in my home culture, blue roses were a symbol for miracles. They're supposedly impossible to grow naturally.

He wonders what they represent for Ana's country.]

Did you do any gardening as a princess?

I suppose they represent my homeland nicely.

I had my own garden, with a fountain. It was home to some bunnies, but we had gardeners for it.
I mostly helped the bunnies.
