I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

[Seth is hovering near Futaba for most of the night, knowing that she isn't comfortable around this many people, but when he spots Dove, he excuses himself and heads over to her. There is a coy playful smile across his lips as he stops in front of her. Seth bows at his waist and holds out a hand to her.]

No one as beautiful as you should be standing on the sidelines.

[His hair is messy, despite his attempts to comb it back, and his eyes are their usual pale yellow hue. He's wearing a black shirt with a green and gray tie. There is a white flower pinned to his breast pocket and Dove might notice the hint of silver from the necklace that's looped around Seth's neck, hanging unseen beneath his shirt.]

May I have this dance?

[As the question leaves his lips, Twist and Shout begins to play from the large speakers surrounding the dance floor.]

[....she's already extended a hand toward him and taken two steps toward the dance floor as he approaches. She takes the outstretched hand with confidence, beaming comfortably at the compliment and offering him a coy look of her own.]

I've only just gotten here and you were nowhere to be found, [she informs him, laughter on her lips. Who else is she supposed to steal the dance floor with?

Her answer comes in the form of a carefree twirl toward him and a grin at the tune from the speakers.]

Classic~

[A low throaty chuckle rumbles through Seth's chest as he guides Dove onto the dance floor.

He enjoys her company plus she's the only person he's met in Genessia who can match any dance he throws at her. It's a pleasant freeing experience and one that he'd been looking forward too since he'd met her. It's very rare that he gets a chance to dance in public or show off the skill's he's spent centuries perfecting.]

I had to be fashionably late.

[She follows naturally and falls into step with him immediately, effortlessly following him and the music.

She honestly can't believe she's met someone in this place as skilled at dancing as he is. Their meet-ups have definitely been a reassuring occurrence she can always look forward to... Except that short bit during which he had disappeared.]

Oh, of course. Where's your date? [She can't imagine he'd be without one.]

[Seth's lips pull into a warm smile as he moves in time with both Dove and the music.]

With some friends. We can't be attached at the hip all night. [Though Seth is more or less on call since Futaba has a thing about crowds. He isn't the kind of person to leave someone in an uncomfortable situation like that.]

What about you?

[He assumes that Dove has a date, after all, she's absolutely gorgeous.]

[She nods understandingly, though she moves away with the music and back before she speaks again.]

Of course not! Clinging is no good, [she agrees, though she breaks into a coy grin herself at his returned question.] I brought my harem. They're around here somewhere.

[She's teasing, promise.]

...most of them. Shockingly enough, a guy actually ghosted me this time. [Offended? Her? ... nah, not really, but she's going to pretend for now that she is.]

Harem? So many?

[A playful frown touches his lips.]

I'd hate to count myself among a harem. [Seth think s he's more attractive than that, then again, he rather likes how he looks.] Who didn't show up?

[Seth might keep track of the men racing for Dove's affection. He's always curious about how those things turn out.]

[She laughs outright, shaking her head.] Just five, give or take. We all just came as a group. [What kind of girl do you really think she is, Seth-] And I wouldn’t dare lump you into my harem group even if I did have one. [She can barely handle one man at a time, let alone a full on group of them.]

Ahh…Just a friend, [She sobers up a little but continues to move with just as much energy.] He’s not a big fan of crowds, so… I guess I really shouldn’t be surprised. To be fair, I probably shouldn’t have pushed it as much as I did, but I think my guardian instincts might have kicked in again. [Another playful spin, and it seems to shake off whatever heavier thoughts might be creeping up on her. She’s back to a full blown smile and a flirtatious glint in her eye when she turns back to Seth.] Still not used to the rejection, though.

[Having many lovers is very normal in Seth's mind. Someone should really correct him...]

[A low laugh rumbles through his chest as he briefly pulls Dove close.] You flatter me. [He then spins her out before falling back with the quick steps of their dance.]

I can imagine not, you're stunning. You should direct me to this friend of yours. I'll tell him how amazing you are. [Seth's winks at her, his smile never wavering.] Or just threaten him that I'll steal you away from him. [He doesn't really mean it but it's fun to tease.]

[Someone really should.

She rolls her eyes, but laughs all the same.] Well thank you, but that's not necessary. [She shakes her head.] Can't be stolen if you don't belong to anyone!

[That and she's rather certain Styxx isn't interested in dates.

.....she isn't even certain she's interested in serious dates. Can't be hurt if you're not vulnerable!]

If you insist.

[Seth nearly purrs the last word as he spins Dove into a flourish. The song ends a moment or so after and Seth's smile breaks.] As always, you are a wonderful dancer. Thank you for the dance.

[He bows over her hand with a charming smile.]

[She'll never admit it, but a small chill runs down her spine. There's something in his voice that just...

She spins, tying off the dance as well as ever, and curtsies playfully at his bow, though she does break the formality by squeezing his hand.] I'll be here all night~ Come steal me from my dates for another one.
