GENESSIA PROM!

I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

[When Rip finally arrived, she was happily on a certain someone's arm. Of course, there was really only two reason she came to this thing. To show off and have fun.]

[Out on the dance floor, Rip's happily moving to the music and not even caring if some of her moves might be a little risque. She's just out to have a little fun with whoever feels like dancing with her!]

VII.

[When Rip's not dancing, she can be found moving through the crowds and mingling. Obviously she's in a genuinely happy mood tonight so she keeps the conversations pleasant for the most part. Though, there might be a few people she's searching for in the crowd....]

[Augustine let's out a satisfied sigh once he tries the fruit punch. It's not a glass of wine but it will do. Although, just what is he doing here again? He had no plans on attending this silly prom and yet here he is. While the dhampir was tempted to ignore the invite, the idea of catching a glimpse of his dear huntress in a gown tempted him too much.

Dressed to the nines and tens in this lovely baroque ensemble, Augustine makes a rather statuesque silhouette. His hair is combed nicely and tied with a dapper scarlet ribbon to match his attire. He decided to wear his gold cuff links for this delightful prom. The dhampir likes charming little accessories like that. He's a bit obsessed with them.

Nevertheless, he eventually spots Rip mingling within the crowd and quickly makes his way towards her.]

My, my, my! [Augustine gives her an appreciative glance.] You certainly look marvelous tonight.

[Rip paused in her chatter when she felt a certain lover of her's approach and quietly excused herself so she could meet him. Once she fully caught sight of what he was wearing, she just couldn't help herself as her eyes lingered a bit.

It never ceased to amuse her that they always seemed to be a contrasting pair whenever they were together. Her blue off the shoulder gown and pearls that did little to obscure a new tattoo on her left shoulder, compared to his favored style was still eye catching in its own way. This would probably be one of the few times anyone would see her in something that wasn't one of her suits or pants and a t-shirt.

Rip simply wasn't the type of woman that dressed up unless it was a for a very special occasion and she figured this counted. She wanted to show off for two very particular men in her life.

And by the sounds of it, she succeeded.]

And you look az handsome az ever. I'm glad you decided to come.

[He truly can't help but chuckle.

As usual, she's in blue and he's in red. They're just eternally fated to contrast with each other, aren't they? Augustine is moderately humored by that fact. Despite all of their similarities, they still remain at odds much like night and day.

They somewhat compliment each other in that manner. Red and blue are quite striking together.]

Why thank you. I made certain to wear my best for the evening [Augustine smirks a little.] But I dare say all eyes on you, my dear huntress.

[He leans in close and whispers in her ear.]

You look fantastic. I might have trouble keeping my hands off you.

[It definitely seems that way. After all, wasn't she the bluebird and he the robin? They would always contrast like night and day.

It was the way they complimented and attracted one another that kept Rip coming back to him over and over again, tonight being no different as she moved closer after he whispered into her ear and brought a slight smirk to her lips.]

Good. That was the entire point. If I had wanted you to keep your hands off me, I vould haf vorn something less revealing.

[Precisely. Everyone knows by now that the robin is quite madly in love with his bluebird. Just look at that lovesick gaze of his. Even though Augustine's eyes are quite eerie in appearance, there's a hint of kindness with his gaze along with love.

He smiles at Rip for a moment before snaking his arm around her slim waist slowly. While he doesn't plan on being too lewd here, Augustine certainly plans on undressing his dear little bird later away from prying eyes. For now, he'll embrace her.]

I don't think I would last otherwise.

[As eerie as his eyes were, they didn't frighten Rip in the slightest. The look in them always drew her in and if anyone ever doubted her fondness for a certain gentleman or her shark, she'd be happy to remind them. Rip could honestly say she'd fight for them if she had to. They both had the heart of a certain huntress...

Tonight was meant for dancing and fun which Rip fully intended to have. She moved in and slipped her arms around his shoulders as his arm went around her waist.]

I know~. Und I vouldn't last long seeing you dressed up az you are eizher. Zo, lets dance and see vhere zhe night takes us. Vho knows, ve might even find a quiet little corner later.

[He could probably guess what her intentions might be in that situation. Probably the same as his a little later in the evening.]

[Her proposal wins a chuckle. Augustine had no intentions to join the dance floor but he won't turn down Rip's invitation. That's why he abides so obediently.]

Very well.

[He answers as he slowly leads her towards the dance floor. The dhampir reaches for her right hand in classic ballroom style and rests his other hand on her waist. Augustine isn't too abreast in modern dances but he certainly knows the waltz.

He just hopes that Rip can keep up.]

Alas, we better be on our best behavior. My dear son is watching.

[He means Eliot, of course.]

[Thankfully, Rip does know how to waltz as he reaches for her hand and they start their little dance across the floor. It may be old fashioned but then again, did the rest of the world's opinion mattered when they were together?

Besides, she might have to teach him a few modern dance moves later, in private. ]

Zhen Eliot did show up. Good. That kid needs to get out more.

[..She almost wanted to add their son, but, Rip was never one to admit to something like that. At least not within hearing distance of anyone. What could she say? The brat's grown on her in the last couple of weeks. She didn't want to kill him or beat him up for being an idiot anymore. It was... an improvement. ]

[It has taken Eliot far too long to find Rip. When he turns around and finally sees her, he almost jumps out of his skin.]

I'mnotavoidingyou! [He squeaks, stepping back.] G-Good evening, Ms Rip!

[Of course he did. Rip hadn't been hiding and may have been playing a game of 'when will the brat notice'? ]

Good evening Eliot~. I definitely hope you veren't avoiding me. Ozhervise, I may haf to drag you out onto zhe dance floor az a punishment.

[She's teasing.. mostly. It's not hard to tell Rip's in a very good mood tonight. How could she not be? Both of her men were here and Rip was having fun! ]

D-Definitely not avoiding you. [Please don't punish him!

He meekly glances around the crowd before settling his attention back on Rip.]

It's quite crowded. I didn't expect so many people.

[ Then he better not give her a reason to. Otherwise she will make him dance with her despite being taller than him. So go on Eliot, give her a reason to embarras him like a parent should.]

Really? Events like this alvays gather a crowd. I’m surprized alcohol haznt become a factor yet.

I should hope alcohol does not becoming a factor... As a vampire, I don't have enough blood to build any alcohol tolerance.

[Which is to say, Eliot would probably get drunk really fast.]

Then that's vhy you add blood to the drink.

[Rip may want to try and get him drunk at some point...]

I don't quite know if it works that way... There's really no point in trying. I can't taste alcohol and getting drunk looks hazardous.

It's fun, not hazardous just so long az you're careful. Besides, you von't know just how it might affect you if you don't try~.

[Yep, getting him drunk has definitely become a goal in the future.]

I'm going to pass on that offer. Pass very persistently. Nope nope, not happening.

[She'll just wait for when he least expects it.]

... I-I can make my own choices. I'm doing fine, right? Have more faith.

[He's even drinking (a bit of) blood and wearing a suit! She should be happy!]

Faith is hardly something I haf in anyzhing.

[Lets just not go into her opinions on religion...]

How about you just keep making zhe right choices und I'll hold off on getting you drunk for now~.

[He sighs loudly.] Fine, fine. The threat of alcohol is a step-up from death, I guess. [you guess.]
