I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

[Belle arrives on her own and wanders around the dance. She's trying to have fun but it's a lot less fun when she's thinking about the person that she wishes she'd come with. After the surprise of spotting Prompto, Belle finds a seat out of the way to sit and think. She has no idea how she's feeling or what to do.

She's dressed in a lovely gown. It's mostly white with pink and green butterflies adorning the fabric. Her hair has been styled and pulled back while a simple silver chain circles her throat. She looks lovely and sad.

Belle tries to get her spirits up but she isn't feeling inspired. Maybe coming tonight had been a mistake...]

[Dove has finally decided to take a break from all of the dancing, though she feels the laughter might never leave her. She had expected for this to be fun, but she certainly hadn't thought a true prom would be this exciting.

With laughter in her smile, and her steps light as a feather, she makes her way to the refreshment table... but pauses when she feels the heavier emotion coming from one of the tables nearby. She takes a moment to look and narrow in the emotion until she's sure she's found the source... then makes her way over to the lovely young woman with an extra drink in hand.]

I love your gown! [is her greeting, as well as a gentle offering of the drink she's brought with her. She can't leave a fellow woman to sit in sadness all night!]

[Belle looks up and quickly brushes at her cheeks despite the fact that she isn't crying.] Oh. Thank you. You look very lovely tonight as well. [She shifts a bit of the fabric, giving Dove more room to sit in the space next to her if she wishes.]

Thank you.

[She repeats as she takes the offered drink, sipping experimentally at the liquid.]

I don't know if we've met. I'm Belle.

[Oh, whoa, she's not expecting that. She recovers quickly, but this girl looks just like-]

Thanks... I'm just always happy to find an excuse to actually wear things like this. [She takes the seat gracefully, taking a sip of her own drink as the girl introduces herself. It's nothing alcoholic this time- just the sparkling punch.

There's another pause, a brighter smile, and a nod.] I don't believe we have. I'm Dove. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[Belle's expression softens though there is a hint of sadness lingering behind her gaze.]

Me too. My father taught me how to dance when I was young but I haven't had a chance to go to a lot of parities like this. [The parties that Belle is used too isn't exactly like this but it's close enough.]

Dove. That's a lovely name. Are you enjoying yourself?

[She's definitely picked up on the melancholy thread, even through the pleasant exchange. Hm...]

Oh? They really did an excellent job with this one, I think. I've never been to a real prom before, but... I was a little too used to formal events back home, [she admits somewhat sheepishly, looking up at the twinkling decorations. It really does look like something pulled from a movie, here.

She turns her smile back on Belle, nodding, but giving her an almost conspiratorial look over her drink as she takes another sip.] To be honest, I think I may have invited a few too many 'dates', [she laughs softly, keeping it just between them.] I think this might be the first time I've been off the dance floor all night. [There's a short pause just before she decides to dive into it; the question is innocent enough, anyway.] Did you come with anyone?

Oh? [Belle really is trying to smile but her mind isn't completely on the dance or Dove. It's a little unfair and she'll have to apologize at a later time when she's feeling more like herself.] I read a lot about prom before I came. Though I wasn't able to do everything I'd been told.

[Like come with a date or buy flowers that go around her wrist.]

No. I'm alone this evening.

[Her smile falters a bit before she can put it back into place.]

I haven't had the chance to dance much either.

[Ten is in his usual blue pin suit and red tie and when he spots Belle he remarks]

Tu as l'air absolument beau ce soir Belle. M'accordez-vous cette danse?

[He does notice that she's not so perky as usual]

[Belle looks up, her lips pulling into a soft smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. Ten is a very dear friend of hers and she's silently thankful to see him here at the ball.]

Thank you. You look very stunning as well.

[She'd love the distraction and she loves to dance.] Yes, please. [Her hand slips in his as she raises to her feet to walk towards the dance floor.]

Are you having fun this evening?

[Belle doesn't know if she wants to talk about what's bothering her.]

Je vous remercie.

[Even if he does seem to wear the exact same thing every day and guides Belle slowly over the dance floor with her hand held up high and begins a slow walz]

Yes. [both his lips and eyes are cheerful and gently remarks]

But you don't seem to be. Why is that?

[Belle shakes her head softly from left to right.]

I'm sorry. I hope I am not keeping you down. I'm just a little out of sorts.

I had to come alone this evening and it's a little lonely.

[It helps to have friends there but it isn't exactly the same.]

[Ten remarks in a whisper in French]

Never.

[Then picks up the pace a bit. Hopefully, he can at least distract her for a bit and she can hopefully enjoy herself]

[A light smile plays across the graceful curve of Belle's lips.]

You're too kind.

[She replies as she lets her self enjoy the dance and the sweet attention of her partner. Belle really does love dancing.]

[As much as they are dancing a waltz - it is purely friendship and love for dancing]

When did you learn to dance, Miss Belle?

[Even if he is still sort of charming her]

[Belle looses herself to the music and the movements. It's a freeing motion with warmth and light surrounding her. It doesn't completely banish the empty sadness in her chest but the distraction helps... a little.]

My father taught me when I was just a girl.
