I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[ there was zero way monika was missing the opportunity to get dressed up and go to an actual prom! her high-school was never have one, being set in a japanese meta and all. woe. her dress was carefully chosen to bring out her eyes and flow when she walks without being too much. that wouldn't do at all. ]

i. in my life | lobby.

[ monika came dateless. solo. uno. it's just her, as she was certain the ones she'd think to ask may have a wide collection of friends as accompaniment or a date of their own. she'd leave her self open just in case she was wrong about that. she lingers by the entrance for quite a while, looking at everyone coming in. seeking out anyone she's talked to over the network. natsuki and sayori would also be here, right? maybe they could all compliment each-other's dresses and have one of those actual bonding moments.

she'll close in on anyone she knows with her hands behind her back all while smiling like they're the best sight of her day. if she doesn't know them and they pass by close enough, the person still gets a friendly wave and a geniune: ]

[ hello, prom goer! did you come in dateless? friendless? has your date wandered off long enough to leave you looking solo? wallflowering too hard? loneliness looks good on no one! but luckily, monika looks great with everyone. doesn't matter if you have food on your face or look like the scariest person in the world. she never judges a book by its cover and you are worthy of her attention.

consider dancing with the one and only Monika™! this lovely single lady is now coming over with a hand outstretched to be taken. ]

Would you like to dance? I think everyone should try it at least once.

[Sayori stops dead when she hears that voice. One of the voices she knew well, and probably the most out of anyone else she knows, here or back home. She... she hadn't been actively avoiding Monika. Ahaha, no! That's just silly. She had been happy to hear that one of the people she'd considered her best friend was here. She just... didn't know how to approach her.

Without making it incredibly obvious there were a million new things wrong.

It was very, very hard for her to keep secrets from Monika, except a few she'd managed to keep to herself (or so she thought, anyway). And the last thing she wanted to do was worry her with all the new things she thought were or were not real -- that just wouldn't do. She was happy, always happy! Always, always, always... It's what they saw her as. It's what they expected to see when they saw her. It's the facade she perpetually carried with her, every single day of her life. All for the happiness of those around her. All for the people she loved so dearly.

Giving herself another moment to put on the biggest, most genuine smile she could muster, and praying to everything she didn't somehow fuck this up, she turned around to greet Monika.]

Monika! H-Hi! I love your outfit too... [breathe, and--] I'm glad to see you're doing okay. [Genuinely so. She was... actually really happy to see Monika in the flesh. She feels herself relaxing, just a little.]

[ sayori was tricky in comparison to approaching natsuki. natsuki never knew. she only deleted her to get everything out of the way before the bloodshed scared her prize away for good. she didn't have to suffer as much. sayori, dearest, who seems to need everyone else's happiness to have an ounce of her own, was wronged the most. the one that seemed to be the wrong thread to pull first because everything else just fell apart without her keeping them in check with vibrant energy and skilled mediation between the other two.

the one she certainly couldn't let gain the same awareness, lest her mind be lost forever. she had to be spared. they all did.

how awful it must be if she doesn't know and it looks like a close friend is avoiding her though... that would hurt sayori too hard. and thus, she's taking initiative. oh sayori, did you put that smile on just for her? ]

I'm doing better than ever! Isn't this place amazing~? Way more interesting than just going to school everyday. How are you doing? It was so disorienting when I first got here.
