GENESSIA PROM!

I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of
gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

Smile, everyone!

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin'
(LMFAO style).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

IV.

[ To be completely honest, John had only come to prom for two reasons: the first was because Dave had insisted on it, the second being that there was food. The second bit was kind of a shallow reason considering there was also food at home where he could sit in his pajamas and watch movies, but it wasn't cool party food. Besides, he really did want to hang out with Dave as much as he could, even if that meant sometimes John had to stand by the punch bowl do nothing while his buddy was busy somewhere being Mr. Popular. At the rate he was swishing the punch in his cup around he was probably going to spill it on himself or someone else, but he was sort of busy reaching for the last of a particular baked good to notice.

It would be so awful if someone bumped into him or something of equal inconvenience! ]

VII.

[ John really wasn't sure what to do with himself besides eat. He'd thought about what kind of silly pranks he could play on unsuspecting people, but it was hard to decide on what prank would be best on people he didn't know. The punch bowl was a classic, but he'd need a co-conspirator for that... He couldn't get into too much trouble if it wasn't even alcohol he planned on putting in there, right?

So, if he knows you or you just happen to look like the type that would know how to get down with a good prank, he just might call you over with a wave! ]

[Ada didn't really know most of the people here, but she had been trying her best to get out there and mingle with people as best as she possibly could. But as she was wandering around, her gloved hands and she soon came across a familiar face.

With a smile, she made her way over.]

hey, it's nice to meet you. [Probably was not the best idea to walk up to someone when they might not be paying all that much attention.]

[ Several things happened the moment after Ada spoke. First of all John had hardly expected someone to approach him, so he may have jolted and turned his head way too fast. He made a little "o" with his lips, which got substantially larger the second he heard a large portion of his drink splash onto the table. He sheepishly peered at the mess he'd made before looking back to Ada, an embarrassed look on his face. ]

I... I did that on purpose.

[Ada had felt a little bad over what she had done. She figured she was part of the cause and was always starting to look around for something to clean the table with. Soon she had come across a napkin and started to wipe the stain with the napkin.]

I'm sorry if I caused it. Let me clean it up.

Hey, you don't have to. Really! [ He waved his hands around in attempt to convince her to stop, but he kind of had a feeling she was just too dang nice to not want to clean it up, so he reluctantly lowered his hands. ] Jeeze, Ada. I was the one being a dumbass, not you. Do you always take the blame for stuff that isn't your fault?

[She paused, she was thankful that there had been napkins close by at least to help clean up. As she started to wipe with a couple she paused, thinking over what he just asked.]

Not necessarily. In this instance, I did come up from behind and did surprise you, which makes it at least partly my fault.
