I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

Of course, the Doctor was always going to join River at the party--but all the more so, considering the news. Something he doesn't need to bring up, especially not in public, so instead he greets her by approaching from behind and stopping just at her side with the faintest of "incidental" nudges of his arm against hers and a smile cast toward her sidelong.

"Ah, good evening, Professor Song."

It's not hard for her to tell the more formal way of addressing her is put on for a bit of fun--much like his tuxedo. He hilts his head toward her, raising his eyebrows.

"Dance ticket's not full yet, I hope."

River gives the Doctor and appreciative whistle when she sees him in his tux. Honestly, she hadn't expected that of him, and she wasn't complaining about it in the slightest. There was a small part of her that had wondered if she was overdressed, but there was no part of her that cared. River Song often overdressed for things, but she knew how amazing she looked in this dress, especially in the dark.

She thought that he would enjoy it especially in the dark.

"Never to full for you, my love." Which was somewhat of an understatement. The Doctor always came first, no matter what body he just happened to be in. Of course, body order was a thing, but she was hoping that it wouldn't come to that this evening.

There's no way he can help smugging up a little at her obvious appreciation, and flashes a grin, twirling about to show off all the angles, then straightening his bow tie.

"Ha, well, good, figure it's about time we had a good party. Looking amazing, yourself, loving the dress."

"I thought you might." Love the dress, that is. It's certainly something else, that's for certain, but River Song never let a dress wear her, as it were, even if it was something as amazing and glow-in-the-dark as this particular dress that she was currently wearing. "Definitely dancing the night away and drinking far too much champagne. For me at least." River remembers his stance on wine, of course. At least in this body. She may have several bottles hidden away. Go ahead, Doctor, try and find them. She dares ya.
