I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

( ordinary. right. as far as ren can deduce, there are two likely scenarios here: one, it is ordinary, just enough so that she has to spice it up. or two, her concept of ordinary is outside the scope of a normal person - if it were like genessia city, he doesn't think she'd have met such a bad end. ) Did you get yourself into that accident? ( there's something funny about this discussion and their dancing, the juxtaposition of light lovely waltzing against death and playful tension. ) You seem like the type that attracts bad luck. ( his head tips in, fingers squeezing just slightly around hers. ) Or did you just piss someone off? ( seems plausible. )

Who said it was an accident?

[She doesn't sound upset or offended, as she might have were her death the result of deliberate action on another's part. She sounds amused, more than anything, though that might be because of his comment about her attracting bad luck.

She can't say luck didn't have a hand in her death. But it certainly wasn't down to any of her own.]

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I've pissed off plenty of people though. But my death was inevitable by the time it happened.

[The fact that it was her own decision is something she doesn't mention right now. She would so hate for him to get the wrong idea and consider her some fragile-minded thing.]

Forgive the assumption. Most people don't die on purpose.

( oh, ren knows she's not some fragile little thing. an acquaintance made the error of referring to her as "poor girl" not too long ago and ren was quick to correct that. if their previous conversation weren't evidence enough, he's also met quite a few people in need that he can recognize when one doesn't fit that mold at all. )

Inevitable? I wonder how much meaning that word holds between people like us. ( people who control their own fate. he chuckles, dress flaring out slightly when he bends her in a dip. ) At least you don't sound too broken up about it. ( pause. his gaze flicks to the side in thought. ) ...Flattened out about it?

( she said something about her death being more "splat" didn't she? hah. maybe that's a little morbid. )

Are you planning to stay here, then?

Flattest I've ever been but you wouldn't know it to look at me, would you?

[She doesn't mind morbid. She tends to thrive on it, and not just because it opens the path for an obvious joke. He's right that she's not concerned about the fact of her death - the only thing that maybe pisses her off is the fact that she lost that taste of most exquisite despair and that she can fix all the more easily for what she knows about death in this place.

As she comes out of the dip, she makes sure to keep hold of his gaze as she replies.]

For as long as it entertains me. And given how much there is to this place, I don't see that drying up any time soon. Not like I have much to go back to.

[And there's always that back-up plan of hers to make sure the people back home don't forget about her. As if anyone could.]

( no comment. we can all see that, junko. people on venus can see that you aren't flat. ren's brow crinkles a little at her response. so she gets bored easily, huh? ) Hm. When you're so good at prediction, I guess life feels less exciting? So you have to make your own excitement. Is it something like that? ( he'd pity her more about feeling like she had nothing to go back to if she didn't already prove herself to be someone who really has no need for it. so he just gives a lopsided smile instead. ) No family? Friends? That's hard to believe when you have such a shining and welcoming personality. ( lmao get it it's funny because she's awful. )

Not even something like, that's exactly it. A lot of people don't realise it because they don't know what predictable means but when that's all you know, anything that shakes things up is a welcome break, you know?

[Never mind that what's good for her is terrible for everyone else. It's not her fault people need forceful encouragement to realise how wonderful despair can be. If anything, that's just a challenge for her to overcome.

She's not getting into any of that here, though there is a slight crookedness to her grin as he mentions family.]

Not any more. Hard to have too much of a presence after you're dead, right?

[And heck it's not like she knows for sure that she managed it, though she does know she left one hell of a legacy.]

( hard for any normal person, yes. ) Something tells me your presence probably isn't that easy to get rid of. If the world is so boring, and you take such an investment in that, there's no way you'd leave it without a mark. ( just his speculation. granted, someone who likes to trip strangers for fun probably doesn't want to leave a good mark behind, but there is something a little admirable in the idea that she wants more for the world than the state she found it in. he spins them once in time with a lulling violin, a tease to his smirk. ) It's a little romantic that you care that much.

[She's teasing, but there's an edge to her grin that suggests he's not wrong - for someone who'd had such trouble figuring out she wasn't who he'd first thought, this guy's pretty perceptive.

She's not sure yet if that's a good thing or not. It's certainly something to be mindful of, though, and she's already banking on the fact that her dodging the question won't go unnoticed.

Which doesn't mean she isn't going to do it anyway.]

It's part of having such a big heart, I guess. But enough about me; what did you leave behind? Seems only fair when you know so much about mine, right?

Must be. I'm an expert on hearts, so I can definitely tell. ( he's not expecting her to spill all her secrets in one night, but it certainly speaks volumes that she - ahem - dances around the topic, before redirecting it to him. likewise, ren knows better than disclosing anything important. ) Nothing exciting, I'm not a particularly interesting person. Actually, most of the people who care about me have wound up here, so it's starting to feel like I never really left. ( however, for the sake of fairness, he'll indulge her just a little. ) Can't stick around here forever though, I do have a bit of unfinished business back home.

[Even though she's teasing, she's making mental note of the fact that he's probably serious; he's not the easiest read she's ever faced but the more time she's spending with him, the more her analysis of him suggests that there must be at least a seed of truth in there somewhere. What that means, she's not sure - but it's potential, somehow, and that's not to be ignored.

She's also making quiet note of the fact that he has friends from home here. Outwardly, however, all she'll comment on is the self-depreciation.]

Well, that's probably the case for anyone who showed up here while they were still alive. Though I imagine your business is a little more interesting than a lot of the other people dragged here.

( a soft snort, half a smile. ) My demographic is specific. ( bar finding him in a dress, she has no physical basis for any assumption that he isn't as plain as he looks, so anything she's been hooked by has been the fault of his words or personality, which ren should be more cautious of. she's sharp and clearly enjoys a little mayhem, two tendencies that have him tipping further and further into joker the more time he spends with her. it's probably smart to stop the probing here, before she carves anything significant from his bold teasing - though he's resolved to keep an eye on her. ) About as interesting as any high-schooler's business can be. ( oh, ren. you poor, clueless idiot. ) Thank you for the dance, Enoshima-san.

[Even as she can't tell for sure, she's weighing up whether he's seeking a graceful exit for deeper reasons than just wanting to mingle with more people. That he's swanning around in someone else's dress suggests he's at least not shy, but it's convenient that he's seeking an exit now.

Her grip tightens slightly for just a moment, not letting him off the hook just yet - or at least she wants him to think.]

Well, that depends on the high school, doesn't it? But I suppose we'll have to get into that some other time.

[Then she lets him go, turning to walk away because if he can leave her wanting more answers, she can do the same to him.]
