I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

[She heard the complaining about the tie even before he caught sight of her, and as such, had turned in time to greet him with a warm smile and wave.]

[He looked himself over and simply shrugged.]

If you say so. I had to get this outfit really cheap. Still don't have a lot to work with, here.

[Though not very surprised by his response, Hikari seemed...almost dismayed for a moment. Until she brightened and forced a smile.]

There’s no reason to be so hard on yourself.

This evening is supposed to be about enjoying ourselves, right? According to what Mimi told me about Prom.

Hard on myself? [Masaru blinked.] I wasn't trying to be, I just never really thought about that stuff very much.

But yeah, I plan on having a good time. That's what Mimi would want, right?

[Letting the former subject casually slide away, she returned to a more genuine expression as she nodded.]

That's exactly what Mimi would want.

And there should be plenty of options for this evening, I hope. The Professor will be playing on stage, we have a huge buffet of food, and...[She paused just long enough to glance around, and was pleased by what she was seeing.] ...it's still early, but there's already this many people here.

I think we'll have a good turnout. Which means there'll be plenty of chances to interact with more than just dates for the evening.

The Professor? That's a weird name for a band... But I do feel pretty excited abut that buffet!

[Masaru nodded.]

I figure I could probably stand to get to know some new people. Can't hide out forever, right?

[The slight confusion was immediately apparent, and also understandable. So she lightly shook her head before correcting him:]

It's not the band name. The Professor is just...the Professor. [A slight sheepish shrug followed, realizing what that sounded like.] That's what he told me to call him. I don't know him by any other name.

And that's what I told Oniichan. He's been hanging around the apartment too much, I think. There's no soccer teams for him to play with. And on top of that--[Here, she gave a small, little-sister pout.]--he said he didn't even have a date for this evening!

[Which was silly, from her perspective, because her big brother was awesome enough to warrant at least a friend-date.]

... Huh. That sounds weird. Taichi sounds like the LAST guy who would become a homebody.

[Masaru stroked his chin.] Maybe we should drag him out. Or set him up!

[Masaru no.]

[Masaru yes.]

Well...he did give me the name of someone he was thinking of asking...but I haven't met her yet. I don't even know what she looks like.

I see! Alright then! You convince him and if necessary I'll drag him out of the building!

[Masaru, is that DigiSoul flare neccessary?]

[That..might a bit of digital over-kill, even by meddling sibling standards. But she appreciated his enthusiasm.]

It might be a little too late tonight, though.

Besides...I don't think I could leave. Even if I weren't host, I'm supposed to meet up with Takeru in a little while.

... Ah. You're right. Let's save it for the future I guess.

[He blinked, the DigiSoul flickering away.] Ah, I guess you woulda come with him... Is he not here yet? I was hoping to meet him in person finally.

He's here. He's been here for most of the day, actually, since he volunteered to help me set up everything beforehand.

I think he's either off changing or getting something to eat.

[They were able to snack throughout the early afternoon, but a whole meal hadn't been acquired since...probably breakfast time.]

[Masaru had to mentally suppress saying "He should be at your side!" or something like that. After their last discussion it probably wasn't welcome.]

Maybe I'll see him around in there, then.

[Much as she appreciated his favoriting her security and happiness...he was right that it really wasn't necessary. Just because he happened to catch a rare moment during which the two of them weren't attached at the hip doesn't mean Takeru was ignoring her.]

I'm sure you will.

If he knows you're here, he'll even make a point to say hello at some point.

[Thankfully, this is the last Hikari is going to hear about it from him.]

I'll keep an eye out for him, then!

... So, uh, I gotta question. Dancing isn't mandatory, right?

[If he gets asked, he's going to do the courteous thing, but honestly, Masaru has no clue about how to do it himself, nor is he completely sure on how these prom things really work.]

No, Takeru won't force you to dance with him. I promise.

[...yes, she knew what he meant, but...well...her boyfriend was a bad influence.]

... Huh. Well, I mean, it'd be okay if he did, right? He could probably teach me a few things.

[Masaru has a little sister. He knows what it's like being teased by one.]

[Huh is right. Because...it was actually kind of fun when the other person went along with the teasing.]

I wouldn't mind. So long as I got to take pictures of the two of you.

Heh. If you want a picture of me stepping on your boyfriend's feet, I'd be happy to provide.
