I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[Seth follows Shi's gaze thoughtfully towards the doors.] Because they've just opened. There is a lot more room inside. [He is supposed to meet Futaba but he doesn't want to leave Shi to his own devices. He cares about him in his own weird way. It's been awhile since Seth's felt that way about anyone.] How about we walk in together. Check it out and if you still want to leave I'll walk you out.

[stillsmiling]

Eh? Is that okay? I thought you were busy with someone..?

[And Shi doesn't want to get in the way. All he knows about prom right now is that people come with dates, so he assumes Seth must have like... 900 dates. Obviously.]

I guess a peek in is okay. Only long enough to sap up bad luck, but not long enough to spread it?

I have time.

[Seth is planning to spend all night with Futaba. He doesn't think that she'll mind him taking a few minutes to make sure that his roommate is comfortable. If anyone can understand being weirded out at parties it's Futaba. Plus, he hasn't seen her yet, so it isn't as if she's waiting.]

And yeah, let's go.

[He places Shi's palm on his arm and guides him towards the main entrance of the ball.]

[Shi follows along, with his guilt fading. Seth has always been so good to him: Better than he thinks he deserves, sometimes.

As they walk inside, Shi is blown away. Not just by the amount of people there, but by the elaborate decorations.]

W, Wow... Is this magic? Did someone use decoration magic?

[unbridledtiger]

I don't think so. I think it took a lot of hard work though.

[He smiles down at Shi's reaction.]

Why don't you stay for a bit? Enjoy yourself.

[stillsmiling]

[He looks back at Seth. Well... Even if Seth is with his date, it's not like he'll be gone. There's something comforting about just being in the same building.]

... Yeah! I think I will. That would make my sisters happiest, too. [He grips his little journal.] But I shouldn't stay out late. I've got work.

[And an early bedtime, like some child.]

[Seth smiles down at Shi before ruffling his roommates hair.]

Come see me before you leave. I want to make sure that you get home safely. I'll be worried if I don't see you around. [Seth isn't going to judge Shi's habits. It's his life and he can do what it wants though Seth will always suggest that Shi get out more and enjoy himself. Even so, Seth realizes that he doesn't have the full context of Shi's life and can't understand his reasons for everything.]

Oh, and make sure you ask a pretty girl to dance at least once. It'll be worth it.
