I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[ monika is a sea of compliments, never-ending. just about anyone she talks to she's expressing how gorgeous and phenomenal they look. everyone is just so beautiful! beautiful and so alive! she loves them all, she thinks.

so it's not terribly odd that she complimented that very same dress only an hour ago before it reappears on a completely different person. her eyes follow ren and the dress flowing along with him. now she wasn't planning on dancing with anyone at the moment but she can't resist becoming his shadow until she manages to close in on him.

doing a little twirl to get in front of him, dramatically putting a hand out to steal him on the dance floor. time to get serenaded by monika coming up with poetry on the spot. ]

The very definition of beauty!
The definition usually is none.
But should it, would it have form to me
In front of me is the one!
I won't ask what of it is natural or what of it is real
Because none of it matters but how that dress makes me feel.

( ren is, understandably, a little confused at first. she twirls into his space with such abandon he thinks he's about to be challenged or smacked into - wearing what he is has been snagging him a lot more attention than he's used to, and he gives her hand a cautionary glance before his eyes flick right back up at the poetry. it clicks. he smiles. ) What a pick-up line. I'm going to be swept right off my feet if I don't retaliate. Let's see... ( a little pause for thought, fingers touching his chin. ) The definition is not none But rather, cannot be limited to one Eyes like emeralds, and a dress like the sea Can you believe my left hand has asked to dance with me? ( throwback jokes!! with a soft laugh, his hand comes back down to settle into hers. ) It's nice to finally see you in the flesh, Monika-san.

[ monika sees no reason to be shy about approaching someone here, especially people she was trying to find. surely the people she's talked to on the network were what few people she hasn't said hello to yet, right? it was a lucky guess based on probability and the fact that she stalked everyone's posts and had more or less full descriptions in her head. people facebook stalk and nobody thinks it's weird. looking through network posts is basically the same thing!

she's swaying her head back and forth slightly to whatever music is going along in the background that seems to match up with his perfect comeback. the look she has on can be described as pure delight and adoration. ah. the muse!

and he took her hand, which she grasps and pulls along to position them in a spot to dance. perfect! ]

Ditto, Ren! You couldn't possibly imagine how great it is to meet someone in person finally. I lucked out you made yourself so easy to find by wearing such a head-turner.

( she's so bright that it's a little infectious, ren laughs softly and draws her hands to his waist with a soft flush on his cheeks, placing his own on her shoulders since...he's too COWARDLY to do it the other way around. ) Not on purpose, but I'm glad something good came out of it. Attention is kind of new for me. ( at least the positive kind. ) Is yours a homage to the plant from your poem? ( she is very Fresh and Green and Lovely. )
