I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[and sidon begins to move with her! he takes her hand and begins to move, to glide across the dance floor with her. his hand at her back made it much easier to take her with him, but it was still hard for him since he needed to bend down so much to get her to come with him.]

Just like this Terra, and do watch your feet! I don't want to accidentally step on you!

[Dark thoughts slipped from Terra's focus as a warm happy smile pulls across her lips.]

Sidon! [She laughs as Sidon sweeps her onto the dance floor.

Her feet move quickly, remembering the steps that her brain has forgotten. The fabric around her waists twists and twirls as they move to the beat of the music. She steps closer to him and hopes that it helps with the foot height difference.]

Yes yes Terra, just like that!

[once she steps closer it does help a little but he still must lean down to her size. even so, this was fine! he grinned, and laughed as well, as they moved to the rhythm of the music.]

I must say, I love this beat! What a good song!

Me too!

[Terra smiles brightly as they move like fluttering pieces of wrapping paper blowing across the floor. Her skirts swirl and twist around her waist as she moves her hips and legs, following Sidon's enthusiastic lead.]

This is a lot of fun.

[Or perhaps it's Sidon but Terra doesn't remember feeling like this at a dance before, not exactly like this.]

Would you like to be dipped?

[he didn't even wait for her to respond! instead he moved to dip her, his massive form towering over her for the moment before he straightened them both up again.]

Ha ha! What fun!

[Terra's fingers momentarily cling to Sidon as her back bows and her hair dangles towards the floor. She's held there for a second, staring up at Sidon in surprise before there is a rush of wind and she's back on her feet. It's only a moment and it takes Terra a moment longer to realize what had happened.

Her smile returns as well as a soft flush.]

Yes. I don't think I've ever been dipped before.

How about tossed into the air? Ha ha! I joke I joke! That would be a bit much, assuredly!

[as they moved he grinned down at her, loving this interaction. terra was such a wonderful woman, and he was glad that she had asked him here.]

I hope to come to more dances like this with you in the future, Terra my friend!

[Terra smiles and bashfully looks down at her feet before allowing her bright blue gaze to look up and meet Sidon's. He has such a charming in wide smile, full of mirth and happiness. Terra really likes his smile.]

I wouldn't mind if you tossed me but you'd have to catch me too.

[Her cheeks flush a light rosy red.]

Ah, yes. Me too.

I'd like that.
