I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

( akechi isn't the only one frustrated here. ren isn't used to this at all. the hesitation, the uncertainty - the reason he's the damn leader in the first place is because he never seems to have issues with these things. ren's heart is steady and he never loses sight of his goals, he always knows the right path. maybe not the most conventional way of reaching its end but he always knows which path. akechi though...akechi. ) Goddamnit. ( he removes his glasses to rub at his eyes, pressing away the pulsing threat of a headache, and after a moment, just leaves his hand over his eyes as he thinks. what he's doing now...is really no different from inaction, isn't it? and to ren, nothing is worse than that. the choice here is will he continue interacting with akechi, or won't he? and since he already knows the answer to that (is really kind of pathetic when it comes to how predictable his choice is), the question then becomes what is he interacting for. if it's for information, then that's what he needs to think of it as. and if more of himself or akechi spills along the way then...he can deal with it. like he's always done for everything. he can adapt. he can keep distance. no matter what akechi says, ren can always come back to the fact that he knows akechi's true nature behind those little smiles. he just has to be careful. another sigh, longer now and some mix of resigned and resolved. when he slips his glasses back on, it's with the intent to head back into the metaphorical lion's den, but on the way ren is - inevitably - distracted by a teary girl and her mildly-stained dress. )
