GENESSIA PROM!
For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:
1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open
III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.
Smile, everyone!
IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!
Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?
V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!
In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (
VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.
Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.
VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

Hey! I thought you had flaked on me!
no subject
Hey, I can't claim a ton of honorable qualities, but I do keep my promises. I told you I'd come, so here I am.
no subject
But I am glad you're here, [That smile is earnest, even if there is still quite a lot of play to it.] Didn't want to look like an old maid wandering around alone. [Not that... there was ever any chance of that.]
I like the jacket, [she adds, reaching over to touch the fabric at his wrist.] Very 'awards show'. It suits you.
no subject
Really? Those guys' standards must be pretty ridiculous if they blow off a literal angel.
But yeah. Tired to find a balance between actually being comfortable and something somewhat appropriate for a prom. Glad to know I managed it.
no subject
[She makes a playful face.] What isn't appropriate for prom, these days? [Really, he should see some of the.... 'cloth' that's advertised as evening wear for teens in her world-]
no subject
[Lea can't really imagine someone blowing off a date with a literal angel, even if they weren't as cool as Dove.]
I dunno. Maybe a big plush moogle costume? Showing up naked? One of those really ugly Christmas sweaters?
no subject
She does tilt her head to the side though, at his list of inappropriate attire.]
...What's a moogle?
no subject
As for moogles, they're a race of creatures from my world. Real ones are about yea tall.
[He holds his hands about two and a half feet apart.]
They kinda look like a cross between a cat and a koala with white or cream colored fur and they don't generally wear clothes. They walk on two legs an also have little purple bat wings on their backs; they're they can only fly short distances and can't get more than a few feet off the ground, but they can hover pretty well. And they have this little antenna thing on top of their head with a pompom on the end; usually that's red or pink.
Also? No matter how tempting it is, if you meet a real moogle, don't touch the pompom; they really don't like that. I found that out the hard way as a kid and got a minor Thunder spell to the backside for my trouble.
no subject
She's more than happy to turn her full attention on his description, growing more and more amused at his sudden enthusiasm and her smile turning a little more genuine. She laughs and shakes her head.] They sound really cute! Are they sort of like Pokemon? Easier to understand now that I know those are actually real...
no subject
Right. Save that one for the after-party then.
Nah; appearances aside, they're not really that much like Pokémon. They can talk, though they do tend to punctuate their sentences with the word 'kupo' for some reason. And they're experts at synthesis, which is sort of like alchemy; bring them the right materials and a bit of cash, and they can whip you up anything from weapons to healing potions. Most moogles that I've seen make their living that way, either performing synthesis for people for a fee, or selling stuff that other moogles have made.
no subject
Oh, whoa. That's really cool. We don't have anything like that where I'm from. I mean, we've got a few spirit guide types, but they're rare and they don't really... interact with the real world too directly...
[Man, she really misses Era.]
no subject
Course there are the Dream Eaters; they might sorta count? But from what I'm told they're closer to Pokémon than anything else.
