I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

"I in your way?" There's a food table, maybe she wants what he's next to.

...She's been part of Earth culture too long to NOT be wary of a drunk, seemingly out of place guy. ...especially when said guy is around a bunch of teens.

"No...I'm fine." She watches him a minute as his attention switches over to the food table. "Those little pastries are pretty good," she tells him, nodding toward a specific plate of grape filled puffs.

"....Are they?" He finds a napkin, at least, and uses that as his plate and tries-

He makes a face.

"Make'm better." Zaveid finish chewing before you complain about the food.

She cocks her head, torn between amused and highly skeptical. "You bake?"

"Guy isn't serious until he learns to make your favorite foods." Zaveid shrugs, except this seems like what he wants to avoid, because now he's scanning the drinks.

And picks out one that isn't suitable for minors first try, then downs it.

"Ah, that's how you tell," she sighs, crossing her arms and thinking on it a moment. That seems fairly specific. "I take it your girlfriend likes grape mille-feuille, then."

Her eyes widen in surprise when he just downs a drink. Ah... does this guy need a chaperone? "....Sorry to be so forward, but are you okay?"

"Liked to eat them till her mouth turned purple." Note the past tense, and the way he studies his now empty drink.

Where'd it go?

"Eh. Been worse, been better."

... He's eyeing the drinks again.

Oh.

...ouch.

Her shoulders sink. "Sorry..."

Another pause. "You sure you want to be around this many kids tonight?" Should he be in a bar or something instead?

Zaveid shifts his attention from the drinks to her for a second, looking... confused.

Then he looks behind him, and it takes a minute, but then he blinks.

"... Right. They do look like kids."

... He's clearly been at the bar for a while, Dove.
