I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[One of the rare times when he isn't joking. he can't help but grin for a moment.]

Enlighten me with your brotherly wisdom. Though what kind of thing would be considered as such?

Well... yanno. What to do when someone's challenging you. Advice on how to stand up to someone. Just general life advice.

[He thought for a moment.]

Though considering all you've been through, you probably have a good idea about all that stuff already. I guess I'm too used to the role, I kinda underestimate people.

Decent life advice right there. For... you anyway. Seems like your style of advice.

[He paused for a moment.]

We've all been through different things. What i mean is the same problems, but we had our own issues... I guess. So some of us might not know stuff like that even after all we've been through. If that makes sense.

... Huh.

Anyone ever tell you you're, like, kinda wise for your age, Takeru?

[trollkeru]

Not really.

But if I am, it's probably down to experience more than anything... And probably my brother. Sometimes I have to be the wise one when it comes to him.

[howamanlives]

Huh. Maybe younger siblings end up teaching the older ones too.

[He laughed.]

Your brother must be a handful.

[trollkeru]

That is our job in the world, yes.

[He smiled.]

He has his moments, but he's my number one person in the world, so it works out.

[howamanlives]

Number one person? Huh. You guys seem really close.

[Masaru is pretty certain Chika would never pay HIM that type of compliment.]

Better than we were a good few years ago, yes.

[Now that he thought about it, things really had changed a lot from that time.]

Eh? What was the problem a few years ago?

[trollkeru]

Considering we never really saw each other because I lived so far away, our bond was pretty awful.

[He shrugged slightly.]

To note, our parents are divorced and I lived with one and he lived with the other. So at best we saw each other at a minimum of once a year. But then the Digital World happened and we got close. Then I moved closer which helped.

[howamanlives]

[Masaru listened, and was about to comment on how he felt like he could relate... but his father had been lost not by choice or his parents splitting up. It wasn't the same thing and he figured he'd probably be assuming to much to compare them like that.]

I see. Well, I'm glad you're able to spend more time together, then. Is it any tougher not being able to see your family while yer here?

[trollkeru]

It... is odd, I guess.

[He was used to living with his mum for the most part. So when he first arrived and having to take care of himself, while he can do didn't think he'd do it often. But he found he also learned a good few things.]

But I live with friends and my girlfriend now, so that helps a bit at least. It's... different but nice.

[howamanlives]

Well, that's good. I miss my family a lot, honestly. It... gets hard sometimes.

[He looked out across the dance floor with a distant look in his eyes.]

I hope my sister's doing alright, at least.

I think of it like this. Odds are very likely whatever is going on back home, it will be fine. So I am sure your sister is doing okay.

[He looked at the dance floor himself if only or a moment.]

My sister's pretty tough! She managed to make her partner evolve to Perfect even without a Digivice.

... You thinkin' of something? You seemed distracted for a moment there.

Wait...That's actually possible in your world?

[Because honestly, colour him impressed.]

As for if I am thinking of anything. Not really. At best thinking of ways to tease, but so far I have yet to come up with anything.

[howamanlives]

Yeah. The thing that makes Digimon evolve is our emotions, which creates our DigiSoul. All a digivice does is give us a place to store our Digimon in public and focus it so they can evolve.

[He grinned.]

Speaking of teasing, I promised Hikari I'd ask you to dance, Takeru. And be warned, Nene taught me how not to step on people's feet!

[trollkeru]

That's vastly different than how ours evolve. Though... I guess mine is technically connected to an emotion in a way.

[He had gone silent for a moment, mostly to think of something else to say before he heard the words speaking of teasing. It was at that moment he paused for another reason. Just what the hell. To say he was surprised was putting it mildly.]

W-Wait, why did you promise my girlfriend that?

[howamanlives]

Eh heh. Sorry, we were just kidding around, honestly. She said "I promise Takeru won't try to dance with you, and it just turned into a little joke from there.

[He laughed nervously, scratching the back of his head.] Sorry. I just wanted to be the one and tease and mess with someone for once, yanno?

[trollkeru]

Your conversations certainly sound interesting.

[But it did the rare thing Takeru never did and that was to react... he was sure that was something Hikari would have wanted to happen.]

And you got me. But you do know what that means, right?

[howamanlives]

Yeah, heh. She reminds me of my actual sister, so I guess we ramble a lot.

[He blinked.] Huh? What does it mean?

[trollkeru]

That's a good thing, honestly. I guess it makes conversations easy at least and more natural.

[He kept the smile places firmly on his face.]

It means I get you back eventually. But not going to say when.
