I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

[He takes a deep breath.]

An' we got some a the same hobbies, me an' y', so we'd end up stompin' the same grounds a lotta the time, so we got t' know each other pretty damn good. Not like, hookin' it up good, but good, y' know? Maybe if Thash hadn't been 'round we mighta done shit like that, but...

[Namur rubs his temples.]

Well. Thash was 'round, an' he gave y' more a what y' wanted. I got a bigass heart with room for lots a girls, but Thash only had room for one, an' y' was the lucky lady he decided t' let in. Won't lie, the two a y' was a good match, but there was shit Thash jus' didn't get. Like that y' needed someone t' turn up for the fun shit, not jus' when times was hard. Lotta times y' wound up headin' out clubbin' on yer own. 'S fine that way, y'd get all kinds a dudes buyin' y' drinks an' shit an' I know y' got a kick outta that. Also know there's a shitload a dudes out there dyin' t' charm a girl like y' for a night, an' I got a way a keepin' them ol' sea snakes in their pools jus' by bein' 'round, catch me?

[He smiles and winks, though it's a bit strained. His headache is hitting him full force, and it's sometimes hard to keep things straight. Thankfully, he's only known one other Faye.]

So since I's yer friend an' I's Thash's friend too, sometimes I'd find y' somewhere an' make it a point t' help y' have yer fun an' take y' back t' yer ship at the end a the night. Works out nice for everbody that way, aye?

Well, 'cept Thash was also a jealous dumbass. Didn't wanna take y' out, but ho-ly shit did he get mad when y' went out an' happened t' find me in the same place. So there's this bigass fight goes down 'twixt the three a us an' basically the long an' short a it's I had t' swear t' this damn smolt that I weren't diggin' y' like that an' that I weren't jus' waitin' for him t' swim off or belly up or nothin', it weren't ever gonna be that way 'twixt us.

An' I weren't lyin' at 'im.

[He gives a small shrug.]

Mean, I loved y', 's true- loved him too. Both a y'. 'S why I even said a thing like that an' meant it. Didn't ever 'magine I'd meet 'nother y' an' that y'd wind up this lonely. Thought 'bout breakin' my promise, bein' a guy y' could date while y' waited for the love a yer life t' finally turn up, but I wasn't sure 'bout it. So I asked what y' thought an' y' said I oughta keep my promise anyway, so here we stand.

[He puts his hands out to the sides, head pounding.]

What wouldja have me do, sweetheart?

*As nonsensical as she might have believed it, there's something in his tone of voice that tells her this really isn't some crack pot story that he's made up for the fun of it. Pretty quickly, she wishes he'd told her to sit down.

Becauaw simewhwrr, in some other universe, there was a version of herself with someone who loved her, someone she loved in return - in her current self, that wasn't something she could really imagine.

Thankfully, there was a bench just along to her left, so as she listens, Faye moves over to sink herself down. Weird that she'd choose someone who didn't seem so outgoing, but love is a strange thing, so she's been led to believe.

She raises a brow to hear about the fight, trying to imagine what it might be like to have a jealous lover - the idea makes her smirk softly.

But now she gets it - the small sting of rejection she felt that night, the promise she hadn't realised was a promise. More than anything, though, was the dull pain she felt at his easy recognition of her loneliness, which made her turn away*

You did what a good friend would do. That's all.

*Her voice was devoid of emotion as she slowly drew up from her seat, avoiding looking at him, tone turning softly bitter*

But there's no need to sound so sure about how lonely I am. I'm doing just fine.

[Namur sighs and parks himself on the floor next to her, resting his elbow on her thigh.]

Yeah, what's the story with that, anyway? Thought y' had a sexy roommate or some shit. Guy turn out t' be a total loser or what?

*Faye glances down at the elbow on her thigh, continuing to focus on it as she answers his question*

Yeah, I have a sexy roommate. And yeah, he's a loser.

*Though she says it more with affection rather than being mean about it. There might even be a hint of a smile on her lips*

What's that got to do with anything?

Thought y' was gonna hook it up with him. But if he's a shit...

[Namur shrugs.]

Been flirtin' up anyone else or y' waitin' for a gentleman t' hit on y' first?

No. To the shit part, that is. He's actually pretty tolerable to live with. But he's busy hooking up with everyone else around.

*Then she looks at him, not sure she wants to admit to any flirting failures*

It just comes more down to the fact that there haven't been any guys around who are interested in me... That's all...
