I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

Koishi tasted... odd. Not even like flesh and blood really. She "tasted" faintly of bark and dirt and water and the taste of air after rainfall with hints of smoke and stone. Kinda like the mountains.

She blinked in surprise from the kiss, laughing quite a bit and all smiles. "Hehe! I'm not candy! I can't be all that sweet!" She didn't object or struggle though, remaining int he air after he lets her go.

"But tasting with your skin is really unusual. And useful too I bet. That way you can know what things taste like before eating them. I wish I could do something like that!"

She was more excited now, though her eye had drifted nearly closed again, her personality shifting toward the loud excitable girl she normally was.

"What do you taste like though? Do you taste like fish or something else? You should tell me so I don't accidentally take a bite instead."

[He laughs.]

Hell if I know, t' me I jus' taste like... me!

[He holds up his arm and slides back the sleeves.]

Get it outta yer system, sweetheart. Ain't 'fraid t' bleed for a friend.

"I bet you taste like you too!" She did pause when he offered his arm though, drifting up and to one side, tilting her head.

"I have sharp teeth so I shouldn't bite you. That would hurt!" But before he could say anything else she gave his arm a lick. Well, he offered, after all.

She giggled a little, drifting back. "You're funny Mister Fins. We should do more things and go swimming and catch fish and crabs other delicious things soon, okay?"

She looked like she was going to start talking (a lot) when she paused rather abruptly, tilting her head, eyes focusing somewhere else. She shimmered, vanishing from his senses entirely.

... Though only for a brief moment. After several seconds he noticed her voice, chattering away again like nothing had happened.

"-and especially eels. Sis has lots of eels that she keeps to cook and she's really good at it. I bet you would like them a lot!"

[She wouldn't have gotten her teeth in his skin very far anyway, but the lick makes him chuckle. He's in the process of lowering the sleeves back to their proper places when Koishi vanishes, completely and entirely, and it gives him a start. Namur darts his head back and forth, tasting the air, but it's like she wasn't ever even there.]

Shit, she weren't kiddin' 'bout gettin' lost. The hell?

[And then he senses her again, feeling her voice come back through the Color of Observation before anything else- and finally her voice. He turns toward her, scratching his head with his fingertips, brows pinched together, then shakes his head. Just let it go.]

Not if they's cooked, 's what I's jus' sayin'. Like 'em better fresh an' givin' me li'l heart attacks from their 'lectricity, y' know? Sheheheh!

Anyway y' feelin' a'ight?

Koishi blinked, looking a little confused. "Electricity?" She tilted her head. "Oh... Oh! Nooo. These aren't salty water eels." She laughed. "These don't make any shocks. But they are really delicious. We'll have some soon, okay?"

She was absolutely glowing but... she was fading here and there. "I'm okay. I think. I don't really feel much of anything anymore. Why do you ask?" She hadn't even realized she flickered out of perception for a moment there.

[Once again, Namur gives her a strange look like he's about to say something, then shakes his head and takes her hands.]

Naw 'm jus' a weirdo that way, sweetheart. 'S nothin'. Song's 'bout over so let's dance it hard, yeah?
