[You'd honestly have thought this guy would have vanished by now.

Apparently not, because here he is, in all his judgey glory, looking just as stupidly well groomed and on point as usual. Which means way too neat for someone with that much fur.

Rather speaks of someone with too much time or maybe a few unmentioned screws loose.
]

I see we have newcomers.

I also see that several of you appear to have severe issues with information retention, listening skills and basic navigation.

Also, the correct usage of the invention called 'the phone'. You don't need to yell in it. It doesn't work better when you yell in it.

[Don't mind that little stumble into the realm of Zero Chill.]

Normally, I wouldn't feel it necessary to explain any of this to any of you, after all, the pamphlet stand is right outside the bay cave.

TO YOUR LEFT.

FIVE FEET.

[Chill, Mord.]

But since this appears to be a semi-continuous method of introduction, apparently I'm going to have to make this small informational segment a regular activity.

Because it isn't as if we have a recording telling anyone where to go. That clearly doesn't exist in any form.

[The cat straightens his tie, and sharply adjusts his pince nez.]

As stated, there is a pamphlet stand to your left, outside the cave, five feet, three and three eighths inches away. In those pamphlets you will find the appropriate material for all the questions you could possibly have.

In order of importance, I will clear a few things up for those of you who slept through their basic reading classes:

You have free housing in the commons in Genessia city for a month, and enough red bills to buy food and amenities for that time.

Red bills are our currency. They are paper. Do not eat them, set them on fire, or complain that you like coins or shells or buttons or bottle caps better. I can assure you: No one cares.

Your amulet's color designates the town this... place thinks you'd fit best in. Feel free to ignore it. Don't lose it though, or else you've effectively trapped yourself in whatever city you are in, as the gates between cities will only work if you possess an amulet. I don't care if they look trashy. I don't care if you don't like it. No you cannot trade them in, no you cannot turn it into something else.

Yes you are stuck here. No you can't leave. Yes, you are free to try. It won't work, but you can try. Please refrain from complaining that you can't leave. We all know.

Yes there is crime. Of course there is crime. Yes you can be a police officer. No you cannot run about the cities hither and thither, conducting shenanigans and claiming you're a vigilante super hero. That is illegal and it makes you a criminal, as punching a man in the face for no adequately explained reason other than 'he looked shifty' is also illegal.

In order to get your apparently highly necessary dose of unwarranted, hyper masculine violence in, please consider signing up to be a bounty hunter. It does restrict your caveman-esque need to hit things with your fists and sharp sticks to a list of names in the paper, but I'm sure it will sate you.

Don't ask me to explain anything else. I'm not taking any more questions.

Arro Caine
30 November 2017 @ 02:06 am
[It's extremely late and Arro is up high, like very high, and the wind is whipping all around him. He's probably sitting outside his apartment, and it may be best to not ask details since he lives at Skyloft in Nova City.]

Dear me, what a fruitful discussion, don't you think? Usually when I see anything having to do with Anonymous culture I expect little, but my; we've touched on existentialism, the theories of a soul... and of course~ Topics of a slight more base nature.

I certainly could do with another retouching on humanity, as you might recall my last entry had to do with that. Sadly I was forced into a rather abrupt vacation and by the time I returned; it seemed far too late to touch upon it again. My apologies as I was enjoying some of the feedback.

Now though; in addition to that, I might ask some of the mechanical life here just a simple question. What makes you, personally, feel alive? I did not participate in the rather...energetic discussion on the Anon post, but I am an advocate of mechanical beings having the same vital substance that a mortal does. Perhaps not all, but all of the few I have seen here.

[He attaches a link to his previous post and the anonymous discussion for reference.]

Mimi Tachikawa
[From the spot on the counter, she can be seen alone in the music store, dancing and singing to her heart's content through the aisles, pointing at a random cardboard cut out as if she's singing to it while organizing the records and cd's.

It took quite a bit for her to notice her phone was on, and when she sees it, there is a blush on her cheeks before a wide smile as she picks up the phone and looks directly at it.]

You'll have to pay to hear more of my beautiful singing!

[Phone clicks off.]

the Doctor
30 November 2017 @ 03:01 pm
[At a small venue in Attleton, it seems like a small modified theatre that is nevertheless packed. The Doctor is on stage with a small band behind him, tuning his guitar.

After a moment he looks up and gestures and an image appears on the screen behind him.

He looks at the house now, light glinting off his sunglasses and grins]

I'd like to thank you all for coming. You probably don't even know who I am, but with any luck, you'll remember some part of my name.

How are you doing, Little Attleton?

[there is a half hearted cheer and he half laughs]

Me too.

[he shifts his weight and grins]

Let's get things started.

["Bad Reputation" is first. As the opening noises begin, a blue police box appears on the screen. As the song plays, pictures of the universe flicker about it rapid fire. He finishes the song with a flare and grins]

This next one is just a little something for someone special-- they know who they are.

[a wink.

He begins "Are You Gonna Be My Girl", singing with energy, on the projecter, space is flying by with the police box image spinning small and crazily through it. The song is sung normally except with 'curled blond' instead of long brown]

He cools down a bit, plucking out a little riff and bobbing his head. I'm going to bring it back down just a little. Have you ever met someone who just has their way with everyone whether they know it or not?

I mean [he grins] Other than me.

Well, watch out, Attleton, Nova, Fayren and anywhere else with ...well anyone generally. [He points at the camera

And then begins to play: "The Boys Are Back in Town". The blue box just sits at the corner and a picture of a handsome and perhaps familiar man.

At the end of the song, he salutes]

Going to bring it down now for just a moment. [the music changes to something softly jazzy and the image on the projector changes to a softly swirling nebula with the box turning in the center]

Yes, not rock and roll. It's a shock, I know, but a little culture wouldn't kill you. Anyway, a classy lady deserves a classy song. Don't you think?

[after a sip of water he pushes the guitar behind him and begins to sing: "Have You Met Miss Jones?". He's not the best crooner and his voice isn't as rich on this as it should be but there's definitely a lot of heart. ... More than you'd probably think on first glance. At the instrumetnals he kind of sways and snaps his fingers with the beat...]

Before we go for about oh, fifteen minutes... let's pick things up just a bit.

[He begins: "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)". The blue box is flying through space again though at a more sedate pace.

At the end of it he bows and lifts his hand. He takes his water and walks off stage]

Intermission )

[As he comes back to the stage he looks a bit posher, with a vest and jacket, the glint of a watch chain hanging from one of the pockets]

The back half of this is going to be a little different-- but let's start with a classic. Well, classic for Earth anyway in certain time period. Anyway.

Let the show go on )

Lydia
30 November 2017 @ 05:26 pm
[Well, that exploded more than she'd intended for it to, so why not take this opportunity to put herself out there right about now? She had the information, why not use it.

Which is why she's ditched her usual gaudy clothing for something that is more like a suit that probably isn't at all actually appropriate. But whatever, details.

Doesn't change the fact she's grinning at the screen, having it propped up somewhere but it's happily showing the trees of Everglade in the background.]

Hello there, everyone. I'm Lydia and I'm... well, I'm helping with the Undead and Deceased Civil Rights Movement and thought we needed to have a little discussion and chatter about some things that have come up as of recent.

Particularly the actions of one Ted Satchel if the information is correct. Now, mind you, I was not here when any of that happened but would anyone care to let me know if, oh I don't know, he actually saw any consequences or what?

Because, friends, let me tell you a little something about those I've dealt with that are of the more... undead persuasion, I've known a few necromancers in my time, they are nothing different than you or me. Just that they follow of a school of magic that focuses on the more... messy side of things. I, personally, specialize in illusions, so I can't speak from actual experience, but there's no reason to be so rude.

So I leave this: what are your current feelings on the matters at hand that the Movement works with? The undead, the deceased, necromancers, those sorts of things? Because my goodness what I heard was some very backwards delusions.

Video;

[after fiddling with his new smartphone for a while (the technology here was incredible, much more advanced and smooth than the usual flip phones he was used to using), the recording turns on to a blond young man with spiky blond hair and surprisingly bright blue eyes. his expression, on the other hand? not as bright as the rest of him.

hey. say hello to the newest 'kidnapee' of Genessia.]

Hm... [a beat. he should have thought this through before he hit record to try and communicate with someone. what did he say? who would listen? he clears his throat before finding his voice again.] Guess I'm new here. Sorry, but I want out.

Anyone know where the exit is?

[...guess that's it? the feed ends there as he puts the phone back in his pocket. ... that was smooth. but at least it was worth a try.]

Haille Aluni
30 November 2017 @ 10:23 pm
[This was something both horrifying and exciting at the same time. Haille was naturally curious as to what the world was like...but to be thrown into a completely new world was something else entirely. There were numerous people here. Far more than he expected. And the technology! He'd read about steam and magic-powered inventions, but everything he'd seen so far seemed much more advanced.

It was all so overwhelming for one who'd only ever seen the inside of an old library and some dark caverns.

Thankfully, Haille had a blank notebook in his robes. Well, it had been blank. Now it was already almost half-filled with various notes and observations he'd made since his arrival a mere two or three hours ago. In fact, he could be found wandering the streets and admiring the lights, jotting down more as the night went on.]

How...how fascinating!
