(All items served with a choice of garden salad or spicy cucumber salad.)
(Wines will be substituted for those underaged or upon request with a choice of water or white grape juice.)

1. Hazelnut Chocolate Star Cups - Design ref. A dark chocolate balloon cup coated with finely chopped hazelnuts so that look like stars in the night sky. Inside, it's filled with a layer of nutella mousse and topped with a fudge frosting and a piped tempered white chocolate star.
2. Coconut Pannacotta and Pineapple Stars. Design ref. A creamy yet light pannacotta dish with star-cut pineapples with caramelized edges, covered with a thin and crunchy spun sugar display.
3. Tiramisu Glasses - Design ref. Tall glasses filled with a marscapone whipped cream, a layer of coffee-soaked lady fingers, and topped with puff pastry stars and berries.
(Dessert is served with a choice of a 6oz coffee, tea of choice, or hot cocoa.)

Haha an opening! Natsu's hand moves faster than any human could possible track and he swipes the jam from Lucy's cheek and sticks the jammed smudged tip into his mouth sucking jam off with a victorious and mocking grin.

Lucy let out a squeal of surprise, feeling more than seeing his hand swipe jam from her cheek. Glancing over towards him, she was momentarily stunned first by the sight of him sucking the jam off of his finger, and then by that grin. Feeling the heat rise to her cheeks, she leaned towards him, getting ready to fuss at him for startling her. "Natsu-"

He is saved, however, by the sound of someone approaching the microphone as Weiss took the front of the room to give her speech. Which, Lucy actually only listened to with half an ear, since she knew what the program was scheduled for. The star show was after the speech, and it was probably what Lucy looked forward to the most -- for obvious reasons.

Natsu didn't look like he regretted his actions one bit. And why would he when he saw how huffy and rosy cheeked Lucy had gotten because of it.

The brief moment of microphone feedback made his ears ring with how oversensitive they were. Weiss' speech didn't have any staying power with Natsu whose attention span for such things was shorter than most. Luckily Lucy would probably remind him if there was anything important mentioned.

He was an unrepentant dragon full of mischief, that's what he was. Lucy gave the speech as much attention as was proper for etiquette, and just in case someone decided to strike up conversation about it, but her real attention was clearly elsewhere. Clapping one Weiss wrapped up the speech, and privately thinking Natsu was probably bored to tears through it, she gave him a gentle nudge once the star show began. Pay attention~!

Although getting -her- attention would take some effort from anyone else, since her gaze remained fixed on the stars the entire time. Unconsciously she shifted her chair closer to Natsu, though she reasoned it was just because she wanted to get a better look. Although her body leaned to the side a little, to rest against his side, and there was a brief flicker that passed over her face when the show cycled over the constellations, and Aquarius came into view. That wasn't her hand suddenly gripping his under the table. That was his imagination. She's not even looking at him, caught in her own nostalgia.

Boy wait till she realizes what she was doing. Silly girl.

Such flattery would get Lucy anywhere she wanted~ That being said at the very least Natsu didn't fall asleep during the speech so he couldn't be said to not make an effort. Even so he definitely had more interest in the stars so once that show started he let his eyes follow upwards at the nudge in his side.

When Aquarius came up on display he felt her hand take hold of his so he risked a glance to the side at his partner. Unlike back home, he knew here what had happened to Aquarius. Which made the guild of leaving her behind even greater. Which in turn made his resolve to never leave again that much stronger as well. She would feel his hand turning in hers and slowly returning the squeeze though his eyes were still glued to the constellations above.

By now she'd spent enough time studying the stars during her free time back home - and probably some of those times with him - that she could immediately pick out where each constellation was in the sky without having search. The stars were as much a roadmap to her as an actual roadmap was. Feeling his hand squeezing hers back, she pulled her gaze away from the view of the stars for a second to glance at his profile.

Smiling a little, she let some of the tension melt out of her frame, looking back towards the display, letting her hand hold onto his. When it came down to it, her feelings about Aquarius aside, she was still glad to be able to share this with him too. The stars were precious to her, after all, and the fact that he took as much of an interest made her happy. Though she'd never admitted it, as precious as the stars were to her, his importance dwarfed that by comparison. He was and would always be the most important person to her. Just thinking about that kept a soft smile on her face when the star show concluded and the lights came back on.

Give her a second though, she was comfortable leaning against him with his hand in hers. So comfortable she could stay like that forever.

Comfort was the name of the game as far as Natsu was concerned. He often caught her staring at night up towards the heavens even more so than how he used to during his year away. He hadn't told her that fact. Gildarts would likely spill the beans since he was that unreliable of an old man.

Even so he was happy he could be here for her now. So happy indeed that he didn't want to move from her side even after the star show came to its concluion.

She'd rather like to know that he stared at the sky as much as she did when he was away training. Waiting for him to come back to her. Even though she hadn't told him that part. Sighing faintly as the lights came back up, she pulled her attention away to refocus on the gala.

... and Natsu. Especially Natsu. Suddenly feeling her heart racing again, she looked down to their joined hands, and then over to her partner. "..." She should pull away, really. Except just as she was gearing up for an excuse, she could hear the DJs starting to get their equipment ready. Some of the guests who already had their tables cleared were starting to file towards the dance floor.

She's going to miss getting a good spot! If she acts quickly she might find one where they could still see the stars. She got to her feet, stopping short when she remembered she was still holding onto his hand. She paused, glancing over towards him, giving him a soft, adoring smile before she quickly glanced away. YOU SAW NOTHING. Still holding his hand, she gave a gentle tug. "...do you want to dance?" As if she had to ask.

Maybe one day he'd come clean. Maybe if they sat down to really talk things through without getting interrupted. Natsu wouldn't bring it up on his own though. So things were still going to stay unresolved on that front for a while longer.

But right now he was there with Lucy and had no intention of going anywhere again. Both because he thought he'd gotten the power required to start protecting what's dearest to him as well as a fear that Lucy would break for good if he left again.

Natsu heard the music start up and part of him already expected her to ask him that question. However while he didn't have all that fond of a memory form dancing thanks to Erza's merciless style, he didn't hesitate to nod to Lucy's invitation.

"Sure if its with you."

Maybe she'd fess up when he came clean. Or more likely, their actions were going to end up speaking for them. If he left again, she would find it hard to forgive him, when he promised he wouldn't leave. He's not supposed to break promises. Of course if she had clues of where he went, she'd absolutely hunt him down and demand him to explain himself, and apologize, and she wasn't about to let him leave her again.

"Of course. Who else?" She answered with a teasing smile. She wasn't thinking about him leaving her right now. She didn't want to. Instead, she led him towards the dance floor. This would be the third time she danced with him in a formal venue, not counting their practice session where he was traumatized by Erza. "Do you remember the steps?" At least the first few songs were light and easy to learn.

The only way he'd end up breaking that promise would be some very exotic circumstances beyond his control. SO naturally it was next to impossible for that to happen. Right?

"I think I do. THough this music is not like anything that played last time. So just watch your feet for a while at first." He at least warned Lucy he could possibly make a blunder. THat was progress in of itself wasn't it?

With luck, the Gods ~~And Mashima~~ will be kind to them. They've both been through so much, sacrificed so much in such a short time, it'd be cruel to subject them to more so soon. "Well it is a different city, and different culture - but the rhythm is familiar enough that I can manage. Just do what I do."

Just like before, she guided him carefully through the steps, smiling lightly. It is progress(tm)! She glanced down every now and again to move her foot back if it looked like he was going to step on it, but he was a quick learner, fortunately! As he was in everything. Her smile grew in strength once he felt more confident about the steps, since that meant they could genuinely enjoy themselves at that point, without worry about stepping on the partner's dainty toes.

Tempting the gods ~~Or the author~~ was never a good idea but right now at this moment in time. he was there with Lucy and if she wanted a proper dance then he would give it to her.

The dance ended up going smoother than Natsu had expected really. In a strange twist it turned out he'd remembered the steps after all and that sense of following the rhythm of the music had been quickly rekindled and soon enough they were both moving to the music freely and in perfect coordination with one another.

Good point. Let's not tempt fate. At least that kind of fate.

As long as they've known each other, in their own world and others, she shouldn't be surprised he was so in tune with her steps after only a few seconds. And think, he came to the gala for her - he'd have avoided it of not she was sure. When the song came to an end, she couldn't help but laugh, "You've gotten better." She stepped forward, impulsively, to wrap her arms around him in a thankful hug. Either thanking him he didn't step on her toes, or just thanking him for being here with her, through everything.

She drew back again for the next song - one that was slower than the last.

There were many things Lucy could get him to do if she was involved. That was just how strong of a bond they shared. Though neither Natsu nor Lucy had shown signs of knowing what that bond implied. When she praised his performance with the Dance, Natsu flashed her a small smile.

"Well you're a great teacher you know~"

Natsu's ears perked up hearing the change in music and for a moment uncertainty flickered in his eyes. "Soooo this song sounds slower..."

They were too close to the situation. Anyone else would be able to see it clear as day. Lucy being miserable and lonely without him, willing to do everything for him - letting him sleep in her /bed/ next to her? She just told herself she was being a good partner.

She picked up on that uncertainty quickly enough, "Y..yeah... but it'd be easier to follow the steps." A beat passed and she hastily added, "Unless you want to sit this one out...?" She didn't want him to feel uncomfortable- and she was sure she could find someone else to dance with. They've been getting their fair share of glances after all, male and female, so when Lucy started to step back, it was like throwing meat to the wolves.

Too close to the situation. Yes that would be an apt argument to explain their inability to see the truth for what it really was.

Natsu thought on it for a moment before he seemed to reach a conclusion. "No I wanna give it a try." That and he had seen some of those glances that for some reason were really getting under his skin. "Just show me how to start." Natsu added with a murmur while his hold on her body became more firm.

She's relieved he agreed to try. Frankly she didn't want to dance with anyone else, and the thought of him dancing with some other girl left her feeling sick ot her stomach. The odd part was that she could remember a conversation she had with him about her dating one day in that other world, and now his reaction didn't seem so strange.

She smiled, paying no mind to the dateless or partnerless men and women who had to abandon their quest to grab a dance partner now. Serves 'em right, Natsu was -her- partner after all, and her da-... uh... her plus one, for the evening. As a friend. Not a date. "Okay..." She stepped towards him again, "It's just like how we danced back home. Once you remember the steps it's easy as pie. Just follow my lead." She said, smiling as she lead him through the steps of the dance here as well. It was just a simple waltz, but her heart still skipped a beat in the dance.

Funny how that particular wheel turned. If he'd known she had realized he was in the right to be so upset about the notion, there would be no end to his smugness. As it were though both of them were far more dedicated to the slow act of the dance.

Slow and deliberate. Order at its base form with each practiced step neatly fallen in line. Those who knew Natsu's usual behavior would probably never believe he would be capable of accompanying Lucy in this kind of dance as well. However what really drove him the most was how close he could be to Lucy without her starting to freak out on him. Since these dances demanded that kind of proximity.

She wasn't going to let him find out anytime soon then! She still didn't know why she was upset about the idea of letting someone else dance with him - or rather, she was avoiding the rather obvious reason. "See, you're getting it," This wasn't so bad really! He was close, certainly, but not -too- close. ~~Yet~~.

One day she'd slip up. One day dammit! For now though just dancing was fine.

"Only cause I followed your lead. This still isn't my kind of thing you know. But I don't mind if its with you." Those being his honest thought he still didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Almost like Lucy had that talent to get him to do things outside of his comfort zone provided she was with him.

That day was going to come sooner than either of them thought! If she didn't stay on guard when she was comfortable anyway. "I know. I'm glad you're here with me. It wouldn't be any fun if I came alone." And she'd get pestered by people wanting to dance she was sure. Not to mention Natsu would be bored or upset if she left him behind.

Such honesty from him, it still made her blush. If she had the talent to get him outside of his comfort zone, the same could be said of him, so it was only natural. Just like it was only natural that she moved a little closer. There was just something about how relaxed she was with him, that naturally made her want to be close to him. She wasn't thinking about that though - her brain might seize up if she did.

"Like I'd let you come alone." Natsu said softly with a low voice while not meeting Lucy's gaze but just holding onto her and swaying to the steps of the music. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3 and turn.

When she held him closer like that, he could feel his spirits and his heart soar ever higher. Just doing something so silly to him with Lucy was making him so strangely warm and happy.

The more comfortable he got with the steps, the more relaxed Lucy felt. Leaning against him in his hold, her steps moving instinctively to the music, her head coming to rest against his shoulder. She could be on cloud nine for as light as her steps were, being able to spend time with someone as important as him. "...we'll always be together, right?" She murmured back in a low voice to match his, her arms absently sliding around to close around his back. She wasn't looking at him either though, her eyes closed with a blissfully happy smile on her face. It was just so peaceful and nice - she didn't have to think about the guild, or her friends, or what was going on back home. Not for tonight, anyway. "Natsu..."

By now those who had been eying either of them had probably realized what a hopeless endeavor that had been from the start. After all both Natsu and Lucy seemed to be dancing in their own personal world rather than there with the few still brave enough to dance even to such music.

"Always. I'm done leaving or losing things." Natsu answered just as quietly.
