Event Log (Finding the Cure)
Welcome to Happy Heights!
Attleton's premier amusement park!
Or at least it used to be.
Attleton's mayor has mentioned the unfortunate only access point to the items needed to make the tonic that will cure the tragic sense-depriving infection that's going around. They'd thought the disease was gone, so they hadn't bothered to maintain the area, but the wells are Happy Heights are the only place that's still going down to the aquifer. They could drill down but-- well, they don't have time for that before the disease really sets into permanence! The number of freak incidences and the decrepit state of the theme park will make it difficult to maneuver, but they've notified the electric company to turn the power on so that people can navigate their way through the park in order to gather the ingredients to make the cure.
Unfortunately, since it's been so long since the park's been opened, rain water and nature have all but wiped the park's map into illegibility. You're on your own for exploration and it's time to find at least four wells from different parts of the park. There are many, but none are a walk in the park to get to! They used to be part of a collection game kids could play when they came into the park.
The mayor warns everyone that the cure is incredibly sensitive to sunlight and oxygenation from the atmosphere- by the time a person can get four, the first extracted water will have their bioluminescence diminished. (And going to that park in the dark... it's too dangerous, he wouldn't recommend it!) It probably won't make it out of the park, so drink it right away! Good luck!
OOC NOTES: There will be different areas listed for different flowers that have soaked into the wishing wells' aquifer. Each area will have a couple of different scenarios you can play out- you're responsible for playing them out and you're welcome to have a blast with whatever you want to do! If you don't want to play it out but you did play sensory deprivation, feel free to handwave your character getting a cure, but remember: If you manage to have at least four different threads with 10 comments from your character, your character will receive an Attleton Charm ICly and for 'exceptionally valiant efforts' in eliminating the disease. (3 month prize claim limit puts this prize available until Dec. 21st.) To claim a charm, click here. Good luck!
Don't forget: If your character tampers with any of the things that are set up to get access to wells except when stated, the ride may explode or collapse, cutting off the well. Pretty unstable park, you know.
If your character wants to explore more of the park than where the wells are, they're more than welcome to. Feel free to make your own thread if you just want to have your character playing on any rides or doing things that they want- get creative, have fun, but the only areas with wells are those listed.
The Purpleurum
1. The Chocolate Cavern. This log flume seems like a blast! Coloring was added to the water to make it look like chocolate, and colorful candy characters can be found alongside the water through a Small World-esque musical scene. Unfortunately, whatever was used to make them look like chocolate seems to have separated so now it just looks like dirty water, but it should run... There seems to be a special area in the chocolate cavern called the Rock Candy Gift Shop about halfway through the flume where people used to be able to purchase rock candy while going through the ride. The rock candy was made using a special wishing well within the Gift Shop and only the adventuorous could get this one..
2. Lolli Labyrinth. A maze! Find your way through a labyrinth made of hardcandy lollipops of various heights. The maze is surprisingly large, so it may take a while. When you get to the end, there's a wishing well.
3. Sugar Rush. This is one of those scrambler rides, but it looks like it's been wholly overgrown. Riding it isn't an option, so for this one it may be a matter of figuring out something technical. This is a very good option for the techies who can get the control booth to trigger the mechanism that's similar to simon-says. Normally it won't start without the ride moving, but if you can complete the simon says light sequence (red, green, blue, yellow in whatever order it says) the ticket to get into the secret well area will come out. It's hard to imagine this was easy to do while the ride was actually spinning you...
Lolli Labyrinth - OTA
But, Bracken knew how to get through such a maze quick. The place seemed to be falling apart, so he left out his earth magic - no need to cause any earthquakes here. Instead, he stood by the entrance and began summoning up his wind magic, creating a dangerously fast whirlwind that he could use to tear the lollipops down and force his own path through.

In his search for the cure, of all things, Jade got himself lost in the lolipop candy maze. And well, it's the most retarded thing the cool, calm colonel has to endure for his life. Plus, his patience has been wear down by his illness where he lost sense of feeling and touch, so he is completely numb, and he walks slower than normal to avoid tripping.
When Bracken forced his path through, at the end is Jade, who couldn't feel the wind properly and the 40 year old mage got knocked over. A sweet lolipop crashed on his head.
Well, the colonel is frowning. "Ugh, you clumsy imbecile!" Usually, it's hard to make the colonel angry, but now he's loosing his cool in his mission to save himself, save Luke, and hopefully, the entire town.

However, he didn't think anyone was in the maze. The spell died and lollipops fragments flew away as he dropped it and went straight back to his usual self, hugging his staff closely to him and shrinking away from Jade.
"S-Sorry! I... I was j-just going through the... the maze! A-Are you hurt?"

Lolli Labyrinth |Yang, Weiss, Athrun;Action
Bumping her head into yet another hardcandy wall, the blonde rubs her head gently as she huffs. "Is there a way to go through this thing that doesn't end up with me hitting everything?" she complains. At least she doesn't need to see how broken down everything looks though.
She's not even sure if they just started, or if they're already near the exit!
Re: Lolli Labyrinth |Yang, Weiss, Athrun;Action
"I have an idea. Take my hand. I'll guide you around."
Carefully, Athrun walked up to Yang and reached out to take her real hand and grasp it within his own. If Yang will let him.
Re: Lolli Labyrinth |Yang, Weiss, Athrun;Action
"Alright...just as long as it's only holding hands."
And as long as it can keep her from hitting walls. She's worried if the place is as dilapidated as she was told, she might end up slamming holes into it.

Scenerio 2
Worst place to get lost in and Abel isn't desperate to find the cure, but he is on a mission. Thankfully, Abel isn't hungry enough to eat the lollipops and chomp his teeth down on them.
But to find a way out however, that takes some time.
Scenerio 3
Abel is examining what kind of ride this is. What does it do? Maybe he'll need a help of someone else. He figured out that some rides do lead to a well and some don't, and he's willing to give this one a test to find out.
Scenario 2
Despite the tasty treats decorating the place, they were in a labyrinth and there's a very real possibility they will never find their way out.]
"Abel... I'm scared."
[So much for her earlier bravery.]

Honestly, shame on him for dragging the poor, gentle princess into this...candyland nightmare. It's his fault for being lost. These gigantic, towering lollipops of swirly colorized hell is...evil.
"I'm sorry. I know. This looks evil, but..."
Hey, he's curious. He just have to find out. He punched one of the lollipops, a short one, and the lollipop was crushed to pieces.
"It's just candy. Only someone in this place have a bad sense of humor to make maze out of this."

"Hold on, while I check the mechanism. You know, a lot of these rides are broken, that I discovered with some of the others." Abel is examining the buttons at the dash board.
It was then he noticed he's talking to a strange girl. "Ah, hello. My name is Abel. I'm a priest. Were you searching for the cure too?"

2. Lolli Labyrinth, OTA
Well. Now she's irrefutably lost. At first it doesn't bother her so much, but without her hearing she can't tell how close she is to anyone else and by the time she does spot someone it's been long enough that she's immediately moving to latch onto them without stopping to think that maybe they can't see her or are otherwise about to be startled by someone suddenly latching onto them.
She's also loud, both for panic and for not being able to hear herself.]
Please let Ibuki join up with you! Ibuki thought she would die starving and alone in here!
[The volume might be her affliction; the dramatics are all her.]
Re: 2. Lolli Labyrinth, OTA
When a girl suddenly latched onto him, he turned to page in his sketchbook that said "Can't hear". He shows her that phrase. Hopefully, she could actually see it.

Lolli Labyrinth - Closed to Cole and Alley
Oh that looked fun. Giant candies. Oooh. Cole touched Alley's shoulder and pointed to the maze.

The Inquisitor veered toward the entrance of the maze, wondering idly if the candy would try to eat them. Only one way to find out.

3. Sugar Rush OTA (techy types appreciated)
DraculaSatanMachines! Cursed clockwork contraptions which he couldn't make heads nor tails of.His first instinct was to hack away at the overgrowth, thinking meddlesome vines were the Sugar Rush' ills, hardly suspecting the real answer lay at the control booth. Give a fool a clue, why don't you?

"MISTER SPADES!"
A green cuddleball collided with his back giving him an impressive hug and more than a few tickles. This couldn't possibly be considered fair play.
"You seem upset Mister Spades! I want to help!"
Koishi, he can't answer you if you keep tickling him.

Prompt 2 - OTA
[OOC note: While Tektite is mostly here to bother people, she will actually help reach the well. Just not without making a nuisance of herself.]
Re: Prompt 2 - OTA
Being so addle-brained, he's also doesn't notice the very out-of-place cat-creature resting at the top. A perfect pouncing target if ever there was one.

Sadly, so far, nothing's happened. But he presses on, literally, until with only a few sparks, several lights begin pulsing with life.]
YES!!!
[And then he just stands there because... now what?]
Lolli Labyrinth [closed]
Seeing that their next task was a maze only enforced that sentiment. It also made him want to scream just a little bit. But he wouldn't. Dave is the priority. Dave is the priority. Dave is the priority.
He sighed as he looked down at the boy, hoping the squeeze he gave his hand was gentle instead of uncomfortable. He didn't know if the gesture was for his own assurance or for both of them. There couldn't be anything too dangerous in a maze, could there? Not here, anyway. Hopefully. The chill in the air was definitely a bit more noticeable without his jacket, but after being drenched he couldn't just not offer it to the kid. Subconsciously, he sighed again before mumbling to himself. ]
I hate mazes. [ It figured, though. It really did. ] You ready?
no subject
'Kay so. List of shit Jefferson hates now includes fairies and mazes and when I stand up on the roller-coaster. The last one being the most logical. Is fairytale bullshit land ninety-nine percent mazes made out of fucking giant playing cards? Because that's what I'm picturing right now.
[ dave is cold and wet and itchy. but whatever, right? how warm is this jacket? fashionable and functional. who would've thought? (he has no idea which jacket this is but he is going to assume jefferson's fashion remains on point at all times always). too bad it's baggy as hell on him but this probably just makes him look baller with the shades. presumably. ]
Yeah. Let's fucking do this. My strategy is going in blind. [ beat ] Should we hug the wall until it eventually hits the exit or like just wander around hope for the best?
