I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[Eliot doesn't want to die by Rip, so is wearing a moderately appropriate suit. May or may not have the cape. V-Vampires wear capes, right?? He's doing this right, isn't he???]

A. Hotel Lobby

[Eliot won't arrive until after sun down. As much as he wanted to bring his new parasol, he doesn't know where to put it... So nope. Had to wait until the sun set. This new "sun hurts" thing is really annoying. It's been hampering his social life too, so if he sees anyone he knows he will be... Kinda annoying.

B. Food/Drinks

[Eliot is staring at the table enviously. Ever since his blood levels became 'healthy,' he's been unable to eat. Fruit and animal meat used to be fine, but now everything tastes like ash. It just makes him sick...

Still. He's looking at the chocolate covered strawberries with the worst sad puppy face.]

C. Dance Floor

[If he's good for anything, it's being a gentleman. When a slower song comes on, one that you can do formal dancing to, he'll offer a hand to any onlooking wallflowers. Female, male, non-binary... Anyone who looks like they want a dance partner.

Though he is clearly nervous as well, Eliot is trying to be Ophelia in her absence.]

Oh, Eliot.

[A quiet sigh escapes Augustine once he sees the boy's sad expression. He's dressed in one of his signature red suits. By now, everyone is quite aware of the dhampir's fondness for this particular fashion. While this lovely ensemble has a slightly modern twist, Augustine still looks like he stepped out the 18th century.]

You mustn't wear such a grave face. [He lightly scolds while gently patting the youth's shoulder.] You'll never find a date.

[He smiles faintly.]

Are you well?

[anamnestik]

A date..? Ahaha. I already have a... someone, don't I? [He'll need to check his wallet to remember he has a standing crush on Ophelia. This isn't the time for his personality flash cards.]

I'm doing a lot better. Just wish fruit still tasted like fruit to me. [Eliot shrugs, trying to signal he has no intention of whining (much) at the party.] Did you find Ms Rip yet? She'll kill us both if we don't say hi.

I'm going to step on your feet if you get me to dance.

[She had been hanging around him when not off doing her own thing like getting food or going to speak to other people she knew here. But dancing... She had spoken to at least one person about it, but she still was not at all confident for a change.]

That's fine~ You can use my feet as a guide.

[He's taught dancing a few times in the past, mostly to entertain drunk vampires. Eliot continues to hold out his hand as an offer, but he doesn't try to force her either.]

I offered, after all.

Okay... But if you end up with sore feet, don't say I didn't warn you.

[She didn't want to be a party pooper either, so she extends out her hand, taking his lightly before she started to move toward the dance floor.]

Okay, so where do I start?

Lovely~! I won't complain!

[He'll whine. It's different.

Eliot takes her hand and follows along, noting the rhythm of the song. Though, he's more concerned with properly teaching her than keeping up.]

I'll lead us, if you'd like? Just listen to the music and you'll be fine.

[She isn't sure how that helps at all, so she looked a little puzzled but she at least is going to give it a try. She doesn't actually know what to do next anyway.]

Okay so I am listening, but what do I do with that?

Relax~

[Eliot hums the rhythm for her as he guides her through the steps. Though he's trying to give her the chance to process what they're doing, he also hopes she'll find the 'groove' and some instinct.]

In this type of dancing, it's just you, me, and the music. Doesn't matter who else is here or what they're doing. I won't let you trip or fall.

[Winry turned her head, watching to see what others were doing as well as what the other was. One advantage of who she was is the fact she could learn and she hoped this would be one of those things she could learn and maybe quickly.]

Okay, so... Slowly thinking I am understanding. [She started to move in step, on a few occasions she may have accidentally stepped on one's toes, quickly going to apologize.]

Sorry...I hope your feet don't turn out sore by the end of the night.

[anamnestik]

[Eliot, meanwhile, is actually having fun. Not that he knows to call it that. He's got his mind focused on teaching her and dodging her feet.]

It don't mind~! I bet this is making them stronger. [Does it work that way?

He moves to give Winry a careful, controlled twirl.] You seem to be catching on, though. Once you have the rhythm and pattern down, it comes easily, huh?

I don't think you get strong with having mid heels digging into your feet.

[Not that she would actually know the truth to that anyway. She nearly fell over at the twirl, mostly because she was surprised, but had been rather quick to regain her composer before carrying on.]

I guess. I mean still making mistakes but that is normal.

Exactly that! I seem to enjoy dancing, though. My body still remembers how to do this!

[His muscle memory can't be accidentally wiped away, apparently. Eliot continues to guide her through the dance, babying her less and less as he moves them into regular pacing. He does seem to be sincerely having fun, which is more uncommon than his constant smiling might suggest.]

Do you have dances in your home world? I've never heard you talk of home.

I guess what one might forget mentally can still be remembered physically or something.

[She was at least glad she had managed to figure out the steps and didn't seem to need the help anymore, but she still let him lead regardless.]

I've never been to any. So I can't really say yes or no. Plus things are always going on that I wouldn't of had time to go to any, anyway.

Is something wrong Elliot?

[Rapunzel wasn't quite sure why he looked so sad staring at the food, but it made her a little bit sad as well as she went to stand next to him.]

You look sad.

Eh? Oh dear... My apologies.

[He flusters lightly, realizing he's gone and worried an important friend.]

It's only a minor thing, no worries. I just can't waste sweets anymore.

[She tilted her head slightly.]

How come? I assume something happened that has caused it.

[anamnestik]

I, uh, got some blood from a friend. [Enis' self-replicating blood.] And now I have full vampire tastes.

[He's trying not to sulk.]

Strawberries don't taste good to me anymore. At least they're still cute to look at.

So... Getting blood caused you to lose any and all sense of taste because all you can now taste is blood if you try? Am I getting it right?

[She felt bad about it, even though she really had nothing to do with it.]

But I do agree they are cute. I mean just because you can't taste it doesn't mean you can't do other things with it.

Yes, that would be the case. I suppose it's my body trying to tell me to only eat what nourishes me. [He pouts.] But candy doesn't help humans. Why do they get to taste it?

[He looks back to the strawberries, a touch embarrassed now. Is admitting they're cute weird? She agrees, but has she secretly filed that fact about him in a "Eliot is Weird" drawer?]

And, well... It also means there's more for everyone else to enjoy. That does make me happier.

Because of taste buds, I guess. I don't have an exact answer for that one.

[She didn't really know much about things like that to give an honest answer.]

Though I guess that is true, but I do hope people don't eat too much and make themselves ill or something.

Eh? Is that really possible? I didn't realize overeating was dangerous.

Maybe I can use that as an excuse next time Ms Rip asks me to overindulge in blood.

I don't know, but I don't think a stomach is endless, either. So you might end up with a sore stomach if one eats too much.

It's why it's best to eat what you need and not too much.

Well... I've confessed that I like strawberries. Which ones are your favorites, Rapunzel?

Hazelnut soup. It's what my mother would make and I love it.
