GENESSIA PROM!

I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of
gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

Smile, everyone!

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin'
(LMFAO style).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[Ted, who saw little wrong with being laughed at with, found the aesthetic of Mr. Morrison very funny. With comedic, slight tremors in his voice, he approached.]

Goodness, I'd no idea this was a masked ball.

[He offers his hand for a shake.]

I'm Ted, and you are?

[They're both a little out of their element, it'd seem. Ted, for wearing something as respectable as a tuxedo, and for not knowing the other mans' name. He'd been very good about not giving it away so far on the network. All Ted knew of him was that he had something to do with wars, and was skeptic about authority; always a promising feature.]

sorry this is so late! work ate me :(

[ Masked ball, cute. Although Jack - Soldier: 76 - doesn't seem to thrilled or entertained by the joke. Still, he gives a brief shake of the kid's hand before crossing his arms. ]

Most just call me Soldier: 76 now. Or soldier.

[ That is the most of a name he's ever getting -- at least for now. ]

And you, kid?
youfool: sketch smile (sketch smile)

Darn you, work. *fist shake*

[personal profile] youfool 2018-05-29 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. Why would they do that? Dare I ask what became of the other 75?

[He's still in a jocular mood, despite the defensive posture. Not the sociable type, he figured.]

Eheh, still Ted. Haven't earned any titles yet, but one day, fortune might bestow that acclaim.

[Though he did win an award for "Most Annoying"; 1st place and everything! 76 might clue in to that.]

Who did you bring, eh? Is she pretty?
stillplayingsoldier: ☇ <lj user="stuffuls"> (dad no ⇻ was there ever such a time.)

seven day work week was horrible. don't reccomend.

[personal profile] stillplayingsoldier 2018-05-29 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
[ If it is even possible to tell that "Are you kidding me?" expression behind his mask? That is the one that Ted has. The other seventy-five are part of a super enhanced soldier program that is obsolete so it doesn't really matter. Nor, is the kid gonna get a verbal answer. ]

Titles aren't worth much. Neither are the medals or statues. Don't bother with it.

[ Gruff and bitter? A bit. ]

She brought me.
youfool: (lol)

but all that $$$

[personal profile] youfool 2018-05-29 11:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Ted can kinda see the furrowed brow, but his attention to detail isn't the best.]

That's humble advice. I'll endeavor to take it.

[It doesn't seem to have made 76 very happy, but perhaps wars have that effect on people.]

Haha, I'm sorry to hear that. Which one? Can you spot her in the crowd?

[Does he have her in his sights?]
stillplayingsoldier: ☇ <lj user="proverbially"> (ghosts ⇻ i'm ranting while i'm raving.)

sadly, it still was spread out over two pay cycles...

[personal profile] stillplayingsoldier 2018-05-30 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Humble advice. Not exactly what I'd call it.

[ Don't take it personally, Ted. Soldier is rarely happy. ]

Hard to miss a doctor that usually wears angel wings strapped to her back.

[ OH MY GOD SOMEONE SAID IT ]
youfool: (lol)

[He understands the grumpy Gus'. Or at least finds them funny. For all he knows he's smiling under that visor. He must see it.]

Ahaha, Ms. Zeigler's interested in you, eh? She must like men in uniform. Or tuxedos; did she dress you too?

[a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8i9GzhKvEpI" how could I not]
