I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

While Era has been on a roll with finding partners to dance with this evening, it's not with the intent to dance that she approaches the young man with the camera. She had missed the opportunity for a photograph when the event had just begun, busy with stage set-up and warming up her violin, but it is something she would like to have even if she's all alone - a memory to keep with her. To show Aymeric when she next sees him.

"Excuse me..." Her words are soft-spoken, with an accent not dissimilar to Lunafreya's. "Might you be able to take my picture?"

"Of course, y-yeah!" Prompto answered brightly, only stuttering a little bit at the unfamiliar person.

He raised his camera, adjusting the settings.

"Three seconds."

Prompto paused and clicked the shutter.

Admittedly Era has never truly encountered a stand-alone camera before, and so she's not entirely sure what's supposed to be happening. Or what has happened. Or whatever. She's been trying to get up to date on technology but there's just too much of it.

Television wasn't too difficult, nor were movies on little discs - it was similar enough to ancient Allagan technology. But what she knew of cameras before Xistentia were that they were expensive to purchase and maintain, and that to take a picture one needed a lot of light and to keep still for a great deal of time. Era is certain that the keeping still part is no longer applicable, at least.

So she'll just look at the blond, unsure, curious, and expectant.

"Thanks! Awesome!" He smiled at her and stepped forward.

"It came out great. W-Want to see?" Prompto stepped closer and turned the camera around so she could see her image reflected on the screen.

Era stands on her toes to get a better view. She has no real eye for photography so she'll accept it when he says it came out great. Even if it hadn't, Era would still be happy to have a keepsake of some sort.

"May I have a copy of it?"

Prompto nodded. "Sure. I don't mind, uh, b-but I can't do it here."

He smiled sheepishly, he needed to go back to the shop for that. "But I'll g-get it back to you after. I'm Prompto. Just don't let me forget, I'll print it for you."

"It's good to meet you, Prompto. I am Era." Her smile brightens, tail perking with her mood. "I shall contact you in a few days' time, if that's acceptable."

And while talking business at an event is not something Era is wont to do, she does decide to ask one last thing - "What will you need as payment?"

"Sure, that's fine. I just can't print it here." Prompto smiled.

He blinked for a moment and chuckled, shaking his head. It wasn't the kind of picture his boss wanted anyway, he preferred candid shots. "Nothing, I'm good." He grinned.

"It's n-not a problem." He mentally sighed at the stammering, he was still nervous around people.

"I will look forward to it."

Era doesn't like the idea of not repaying him somehow. She'll think of something she can do in return, even if it's just a favour in the future. For now though, Era justs decides to ask Prompto one more thing:

"Would you like to dance?"

It was expected at a party and he looked surprised anyway. He glanced at his camera and put it back in the bag.

"Uh, okay."

He exhaled, he'd left his gloves at home, so his hands were bare, but his wrists still held his usual leather bracelets.

"I'm n-not very good though."

So many partygoers claiming to be lacking in dance skills. Era can't say she's surprised, but it's not exactly something she had expected either. It isn't a problem though. Not so long ago she would have had to say the same herself.

"Skilled or no, as long as you enjoy yourself it doesn't truly matter," she smiles encouragingly. "Though it is not beyond me to teach you some dance, if you'd like to learn."

"I'll try." Prompto smiled shyly and held out his hands. He knew he was supposed to lead, that was just how things were but he didn't have the noble upbringing his best friend did.

"S-Sorry if I'm nervous. It's...normal for me."

Era takes his hands without pause, quietly guiding them to the correct placement should he need any help with that.

"Think naught of it. Nervousness is not such an uncommon thing," she reassures him. "I will lead to start and then pass the lead to you once you're more comfortable, if that's acceptable."

"Okay, yeah sure." He nodded, she could lead first, and maybe if he got more comfortable with the movements, he could take over.

He held her hand and her waist gently, not wanting to squeeze too hard out of anxiety.

"So...right...moving." Prompto took a breath.

Seeing nothing wrong with their current form, Era begins to lead Prompto through the first few basic steps of a partnered dance. Though she leads she does it by putting gentle resistance in the direction the young man needs to move next rather than pulling him along herself.

"Can you feel the music dancing under your skin?"

"Am I supposed to?" He tilted his head curiously.

"N-Not really?"

"I am not sure." She's only discussed music before with fellow musicians, or musically-inclined folk. "But there is a beat to every song, much like the beating of a heart. Some music, when played loudly enough, you can feel within your very bones."

"Oh, like the beat?" He asked, nodding a little bit.

"Yeah, I sort of know about that."
