GENESSIA PROM!

I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

Eh, it's more like I realized we haven't had a chance to meet in person yet.

[He laughed a bit.] You enjoying the dance?

No, we haven't. I mean not unless you ever come into Moonbucks. I'm there often since I work there.

[He may also be the poster boy for the business right now anyway.]

As for the dance. I haven't really had much of a chance to do much. Been making sure it's going well. Might look for Hikari soon to check on her though. How about you?

Moonbucks? Is that like a planetarium, or something?

[Masaru...]

I see. I guess you guys would want to make sure it went well, for Mimi's sake...

... Wait. Is Hikari your date?

No, it's a coffee shop. I can make a mean cappuccino.

[he nodded slightly.] of course, making sure was top priority for us after all.

[Give Takeru a moment. That's right he probably doesn't know.]

She is my girlfriend, so of course, she'd be my date as well.

Huh. Kind of a weird name for a coffee shop, but sure. Why not?

[He blinks.]

Well, then you best be sure you show her a good time, alright?! Don't let her get bored or feel left out or nothing! A man needs to look after his date, after all!

There are a lot of weirdly named shops that make no sense as well. I just work at this oddly named shop.

[He couldn't help but chuckle slightly. He couldn't help but find the advice oddly amusing.]

That is something I am good at, so I can assure you I will make sure she does.

I suppose it's no weirder than the stuff back home.

[He nods.]

Alright, then! Just making sure you're doing things right!

[Masaru may not be 0Hikari's real big brother, but he's definitely in big brother mode all the same.]

Exactly. There are a lot of strange things at home. Both yours and mine.

[he nodded slightly. One thing he always knew what he was doing... At least, for the most part, was making sure Hikari was okay. Even when she didn't say things and he had an inkling something was up, he would do something.]

What would you have done if I wasn't?

[Masaru laughed nervously.]

Probably grab you by the collar and drag you over to her, to be honest. And then I'd spend the rest of the night glaring at you.

Glaring seems a little overboard.

[It wasn't, it could have been much worse.]

But I understand that you are kind of like being a second big brother to her and making sure she has a good time and doesn't overwork.

... Second big brother?

[He has to think about that for a second.]

... Huh. I never thought about it that way. I guess she does remind her of my sister a bit.

But uh.

I dunno. It's not my place, and I guess it's not fair to you either. So I should probably apologize.

You don't need to apologize.

[He smiled slightly before looking off to the side.]

Besides, not like you would have ever had to go through with it anyway. if there is one thing I am good at it's looking out for Hikari.

... Alright. I can tell you're serious about that, so I'll give you the benefit of a doubt.

[Masaru grins.] Though if you ever need advice too, you can come to me any time. I'm more than happy to share my brotherly wisdom, heh.

[Masaru...]

When it comes to Hikari, I am always serious.

[One of the rare times when he isn't joking. he can't help but grin for a moment.]

Enlighten me with your brotherly wisdom. Though what kind of thing would be considered as such?

Well... yanno. What to do when someone's challenging you. Advice on how to stand up to someone. Just general life advice.

[He thought for a moment.]

Though considering all you've been through, you probably have a good idea about all that stuff already. I guess I'm too used to the role, I kinda underestimate people.

Decent life advice right there. For... you anyway. Seems like your style of advice.

[He paused for a moment.]

We've all been through different things. What i mean is the same problems, but we had our own issues... I guess. So some of us might not know stuff like that even after all we've been through. If that makes sense.

... Huh.

Anyone ever tell you you're, like, kinda wise for your age, Takeru?

Not really.

But if I am, it's probably down to experience more than anything... And probably my brother. Sometimes I have to be the wise one when it comes to him.

Huh. Maybe younger siblings end up teaching the older ones too.

[He laughed.]

Your brother must be a handful.

That is our job in the world, yes.

[He smiled.]

He has his moments, but he's my number one person in the world, so it works out.

Number one person? Huh. You guys seem really close.

[Masaru is pretty certain Chika would never pay HIM that type of compliment.]

Better than we were a good few years ago, yes.

[Now that he thought about it, things really had changed a lot from that time.]

Eh? What was the problem a few years ago?

Considering we never really saw each other because I lived so far away, our bond was pretty awful.

[He shrugged slightly.]

To note, our parents are divorced and I lived with one and he lived with the other. So at best we saw each other at a minimum of once a year. But then the Digital World happened and we got close. Then I moved closer which helped.

[Masaru listened, and was about to comment on how he felt like he could relate... but his father had been lost not by choice or his parents splitting up. It wasn't the same thing and he figured he'd probably be assuming to much to compare them like that.]

I see. Well, I'm glad you're able to spend more time together, then. Is it any tougher not being able to see your family while yer here?
