Event Log (Finding the Cure)
Welcome to Happy Heights!
Attleton's premier amusement park!
Or at least it used to be.
Attleton's mayor has mentioned the unfortunate only access point to the items needed to make the tonic that will cure the tragic sense-depriving infection that's going around. They'd thought the disease was gone, so they hadn't bothered to maintain the area, but the wells are Happy Heights are the only place that's still going down to the aquifer. They could drill down but-- well, they don't have time for that before the disease really sets into permanence! The number of freak incidences and the decrepit state of the theme park will make it difficult to maneuver, but they've notified the electric company to turn the power on so that people can navigate their way through the park in order to gather the ingredients to make the cure.
Unfortunately, since it's been so long since the park's been opened, rain water and nature have all but wiped the park's map into illegibility. You're on your own for exploration and it's time to find at least four wells from different parts of the park. There are many, but none are a walk in the park to get to! They used to be part of a collection game kids could play when they came into the park.
The mayor warns everyone that the cure is incredibly sensitive to sunlight and oxygenation from the atmosphere- by the time a person can get four, the first extracted water will have their bioluminescence diminished. (And going to that park in the dark... it's too dangerous, he wouldn't recommend it!) It probably won't make it out of the park, so drink it right away! Good luck!
OOC NOTES: There will be different areas listed for different flowers that have soaked into the wishing wells' aquifer. Each area will have a couple of different scenarios you can play out- you're responsible for playing them out and you're welcome to have a blast with whatever you want to do! If you don't want to play it out but you did play sensory deprivation, feel free to handwave your character getting a cure, but remember: If you manage to have at least four different threads with 10 comments from your character, your character will receive an Attleton Charm ICly and for 'exceptionally valiant efforts' in eliminating the disease. (3 month prize claim limit puts this prize available until Dec. 21st.) To claim a charm, click here. Good luck!
Don't forget: If your character tampers with any of the things that are set up to get access to wells except when stated, the ride may explode or collapse, cutting off the well. Pretty unstable park, you know.
If your character wants to explore more of the park than where the wells are, they're more than welcome to. Feel free to make your own thread if you just want to have your character playing on any rides or doing things that they want- get creative, have fun, but the only areas with wells are those listed.
The Amberyllis
1. Froggy Fezboar's Dining Adventure- Food and a show! If you're looking for something a little more substantial than the froofy light treats of the Cafe Royale, Froggy Fazboar's was the place to be! A two-story rootin' tootin' forest diner with tree stumps for seats and hardwood picnic tables even inside. There's a boar's head on the wall that seems to be falling apart, but what's most important is that there are a bunch of talking animals around to entertain! The three stars on the stage in the back of the restaurant are animatronics- a large boar with a fez, a golden goose with a bib that says "TIME TO EAT!", and a red wolf with an eyepatch. Normally when you enter, another character- a blue donkey with a red tie- moves up to the door to wave at you.. but time has a funny way of playing tricks, so upon entrance the donkey will jerk forward suddenly, its large teeth almost smacking you in the face as its voice shrieks with static instead of saying any friendly words. In the backroom, there appears to be another type of boar with red stains that's all mangled up that's out of commission. None of the lights work in the restaurant and it sounds like there's something moving around in the background, but overall it seems like you'll be able to do a scavenger hunt in this one to find a possession of each of the animatronics to complete a spell to turn them human again.. though maybe they were turned into animals for a reason. When you put all four items into the pot, it opens up a door to the wishing well so you can get a magical cure for yourself to save you from any potential fairy dust mishaps!
2. Fairy Flight. Have you ever been ziplining? Have you ever wanted to? The only way to get to this well is to zipline through the trees. Each of the zipline harnesses have fairy wings on the back and it will take you to a special fairy spring where water shoots out of special grates in the floor- and the location of the wishing well.
3. Cooky Carousel. Even more talking animals!? When does it end! The carousel appears that it used to work, but it doesn't anymore. Maybe there's some way you can get it to turn manually, since the door to the wishing well will only open if the carousel makes a full turn.

He came upon an area what seems to be... a forest? With lots of trees, with lots of cables, a pully, and a harness with fairy wings attached.

That was when he spotted Father Abel standing next to a giant butterfly.
"A-Abel?"
He walked up at a leisurely pace, glancing around curiously.

Abel was examining the scenerio before him, and checking the harness. Is this ride even safe? That was when Bracken presence caught his attention. He's really focused in his mission that his klutzy priest person melted away and become a very...level-headed person in his mission to help save the town. He has deeper reasons, much of it, it's a morality issue, but another because it's a calling.
"Bracken, is that you? What are you doing here?"

Since she was smaller, she exploited her size to help Abel search, crawling through spaces between bushes to look for any trap doors. Only to find anything.
She emerged from the bushes, covered in leaves and twigs. Not that she can feel them anymore, so she was oblivious.]

... Not that Blaze is any stranger to danger either. He approached one of the harnesses and looked it over, noting that particular harness had a partially missing right wing. Of course the one he looked at had to be like that. If these wings had any direct affect on the stability of the harness, then hopefully 'Solo Wing'ing it wouldn't be an issue.]

[Jade figured out that some of the rides led to a well one way or another. Is there a pattern? The mage kept note of some the wells he found in his own phone and marked their location for future reference.
By now, Jade helped himself to the cure, and he have some of his partial feelings regained back him. He is able to feel a bit, and instead of numbness, it's tingling with some sensation. His quest isn't entirely selfish, as he has a child, Luke, who was blind to save, and also his intention was to help the people as well. He's a military soldier back in his home world, and one of his many duties is to protect the people in his Emperor's kingdom.
Almost there... He thought.
He came upon this forest with the cables, the pulleys, and harness when he's exploring more of the amusement park, searching for the wells. But he sorta...balked at the fairy wings.]
"You got to be kidding." He said. "But I suppose there are worser fates."
[He examined the structure of the harness and it's attachment to the cables, when he took noticed of Blaze.]
"Oh hello. I hope you don't mind me. Are you here to help, looking for the wells too?"

But she was pretty sure that this was rather creepy. But she figured she might as well attempt to look around and see how to find everything. Turning her head, she made sure to check to see if anyone else is behind her.]

It also means she almost walks smack into their donkey greeter, coming to a sharp stop before she...reaches out to pet the donkey. Of course.]
Oh hi Donkey-chan! Phew, you gave Ibuki a fright but that's probably not your fault.
[At least, she thinks so given she can't hear the static.]

3 Cooky Carousel, OTA
Except nothing's moving. It takes her a moment or five to realise nothing's moving because she's too busy pretending her horse is real and they're riding through a fancy countryside. Which might mean someone has to point out it's not working in the first place.
Once she does figure it out, though, she lets out a heavy sigh and almost yells her frustration - not that she realises she's yelling, of course.]
Where's a mechanic when you need one?!

Of course, he means Mihai not Heine. Heine wouldn't lift a finger unless Badou was already inches from death.
Somehow, he makes it to the diner which would normally be good because he's getting hungry. Except that because he can't see, he doesn't stop until he walks into the donkey and gets an earful of that static.]
What the hell?!
[Safe to say he is now totally disorientated and in need of an adult right now.]
lets pretend im not garbage at finishing threads and they know each others names???
she's made her way to the diner and it is... terrifying. straight out of a scary story azura would tell her and she's probably just shaking in the middle of the entrance when badou comes strolling in and smashes right into the donkey.
sakura, unhelpfully, screams. ]
AH! [ TOO SCARY. but wait, she knows that fumbling redhead that just scared the ever living bejeezus out of her! ] Badou! H-Hold on, I — [ she reaches for his hand, trying to steer him away from the animatronic. ]

1. Froggy Fezboar's - locked to Alley and Cole
Which, with the Inquisitor, meant fight.
So it was that she punched the animatronic right in its big, clacky teeth, her armored fist snapping several teeth inward as the fake donkey shrieked its staticky welcome. Alley snarled at it, showing her own teeth, and shined the flashlight strapped to her prosthetic left arm at the defunct robot.
"Well, this is fucking charming," she said, far too loud, to her spirit companion.

She couldn't hear him and it took time to write, so he didn't answer her, instead jerking forward to peer around through various doors. One room was especially large, full of tables and chairs. This was a restaurant of sorts right? He peered inside, wary for any more sudden surprises.

Still, she couldn't help it, she needed the wells. She just hopes someone else would be by to help her put on the harnesses.

Yang might recognize the voice. They hadn't had a lot of contact before but it was hard to forget someone who fell from the sky, crashed into your house, broke a walkway, and landed in the pool. Even if you were only hearing her voice now.
"Miss! That's really really dangerous. What are you doing?" And also there was lots of poking.

Froggy Fezboar's - OTA
He pushed open the door and casually stepped inside. A huge, terrifying donkey-thing leapt out in front of him. It's giant maw was just inches from his face when it opened it's mouth. He nearly fell backwards. His heart somersaulted and his hair stood on end. It's mouth moved like it was talking, but screeching static came out.
Letting out a terrified scream, he bolted out of there, possibly knocking into the nearest person who thought to explore the diner.

What is this? It looks like...an old run down diner? This looks like bad news. With the robot animals lurking in the corner, searching for the well in this place will take a lot of patience. With none of the lights working, he has to rely on the daylight streaming through the windows.
Scenerio 2
He came upon a forest with cables, pulleys, and fairy wings coming of the harness, and there's a steep hill of many trees. Could there be a well hidden at the bottom? Jade wanted a ride to find out.
Scenerio 3
Jade came upon a carasousel, but it's not working. He's not a very tech-ish person, but he knew something about machines. If he examine some parts of it, maybe he can get it to work.

Prompt 1 - OTA
She is either sitting on the roof, waiting to jump down and surprise whoever approaches or hidden among the animatronics on stage, transformed into a black dog with floppy ears and a huge smile. Like her position on the roof, she's just waiting for someone to come by so she can lunge at them.
[OOC note: While Tektite is mostly here to bother people, she will actually help reach the well. Just not without making a nuisance of herself.]
Cooky Carousel OTA
He started to examine the surroundings, looking for a way to move the ride. Pushing an animal wasn't enough. He couldn't hear the creaking sound it made at his attempt. He gave up on that. There was probably a gear or crank, but he was tired from other challenges.
He yawned, then sat down near one of the freaky animals. He leaned against it and fell asleep.
fairy flight / closed;
he sniffles once. fucking flowers. and the previous (and first) task of theirs set off some kind of irritating fever. ha ha ha. this is going great so far. ]
What the fuck were the other options again that I picked this? Puppets? Right... yeah. Okay.

[ Jefferson was regarding the situation in front of them in a similar way, though the key difference was that he was actually able to see what he was looking at. And after the first tumble they'd had he really wasn't happy about the way they had to get to the top. ]
There's stairs here. [ He sounded amazingly unenthused. ] Carrying you would be quicker than trying to do it the normal way.
