GENESSIA PROM!

I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform. Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night! Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch? Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (~~LMFAO style~~).

VI. - CHAPERONES

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to? The night is young, and so are they~

I - Setup
[Takeru knew how much this had meant to not only Mimi who was no longer here but Hikari as well, so the young man had put it upon himself to try his best to help out in whatever way he could. Making sure things were in the correct places the decorations were perfect and the food closer to the time was in the right places.

The boy knew he wouldn't take that long to get ready himself so he was using all the time he could.]

IV - Eating/Drinking
[Takeru had spent some of the night mingling with people when not staying close to his girlfriend, making sure that she also was having a good time and not overworking. But sometimes even the young man needed a break and now was that time.

Walking over to the food table, he was looking over the various foods and trying to figure out what he should have. After all his stomach was telling him he should really.]

I wonder what I should try first? [He was pondering it over, not noticing that there was anyone even close by.]

V - Dance Floor
[Takeru looked around, he knew what he was going to do and it was to make sure people had a good time and dancing was one of those ways to do it. Plus it puts his dance lessons to good use when not dancing with Hikari. Walking over to anyone who happens to be by themselves he extends out a hand with a smile upon his face.]

Would you like to have this dance? I'm sure it will be fun.

[OOC: His outfit is along these lines.]

Ever had cannoli? Gotta admit, I missed my chance in real Italy, so I can only compare it to London, but it's a hundred times better than that!

I can't say I have honestly.

[He has tried a lot, but he wasn't sure about something like that.]

Most of this seems new to me though even if I have been here for a few months now.

[Bounces!] Yeah? I did a lot of traveling before here, so I haven't really been trying new things here as much. [Face scrunch.] Unless my friends want to.

I guess now you can try all of it if you wanted to.

[He looked over at what the selection was before he decided to pick up cannoli.]

I could, but it's more fun with friends, yeah? Although I still manage to indulge a bit. A lot. [Tongue loll grin.]

Trying things is more fun with friends?

[Well if its bad at least everyone could suffer with them. So he could see it in that way at least and if it's good they would all know... Makes sense.]

Yeah! It's great to see their reactions too, and it's a lot easier to enjoy something with someone you like!

Of course. Reactions are some of the best things to come out of spending time together and trying new things. or just spending time together in general.

[Says the guy who likes to get reactions out of people if he figures out the how at the time.]

But for the moment the person I would like to share it with is taking pictures for people who want them currently.

Oh! [Perks right up even more with a grin.] You're friends with Hikari?

She's my girlfriend. But yes. She was my friend before that step.

[She wasn't wrong.]

[Masaru had been looking for Takeru since he showed up, and well... he finally found him when he was busy with the food table himself. Recognizing him, he raised his hand and called over in greeting.]

Oi, hey! Takeru! I finally tracked you down!

[He turned his head slightly, looking over. The bright smile on his face before waving his hand slightly.]

Hey, were you tracking me down for a reason, or just because you can.

Eh, it's more like I realized we haven't had a chance to meet in person yet.

[He laughed a bit.] You enjoying the dance?

No, we haven't. I mean not unless you ever come into Moonbucks. I'm there often since I work there.

[He may also be the poster boy for the business right now anyway.]

As for the dance. I haven't really had much of a chance to do much. Been making sure it's going well. Might look for Hikari soon to check on her though. How about you?

Moonbucks? Is that like a planetarium, or something?

[Masaru...]

I see. I guess you guys would want to make sure it went well, for Mimi's sake...

... Wait. Is Hikari your date?

No, it's a coffee shop. I can make a mean cappuccino.

[he nodded slightly.] of course, making sure was top priority for us after all.

[Give Takeru a moment. That's right he probably doesn't know.]

She is my girlfriend, so of course, she'd be my date as well.

Huh. Kind of a weird name for a coffee shop, but sure. Why not?

[He blinks.]

Well, then you best be sure you show her a good time, alright?! Don't let her get bored or feel left out or nothing! A man needs to look after his date, after all!

There are a lot of weirdly named shops that make no sense as well. I just work at this oddly named shop.

[He couldn't help but chuckle slightly. He couldn't help but find the advice oddly amusing.]

That is something I am good at, so I can assure you I will make sure she does.

I suppose it's no weirder than the stuff back home.

[He nods.]

Alright, then! Just making sure you're doing things right!

[Masaru may not be 0Hikari's real big brother, but he's definitely in big brother mode all the same.]

Exactly. There are a lot of strange things at home. Both yours and mine.

[he nodded slightly. One thing he always knew what he was doing... At least, for the most part, was making sure Hikari was okay. Even when she didn't say things and he had an inkling something was up, he would do something.]

What would you have done if I wasn't?

[Masaru laughed nervously.]

Probably grab you by the collar and drag you over to her, to be honest. And then I'd spend the rest of the night glaring at you.

Glaring seems a little overboard.

[It wasn't, it could have been much worse.]

But I understand that you are kind of like being a second big brother to her and making sure she has a good time and doesn't overwork.

... Second big brother?

[He has to think about that for a second.]

... Huh. I never thought about it that way. I guess she does remind her of my sister a bit.

But uh.

I dunno. It's not my place, and I guess it's not fair to you either. So I should probably apologize.

You don't need to apologize.

[He smiled slightly before looking off to the side.]

Besides, not like you would have ever had to go through with it anyway. if there is one thing I am good at it's looking out for Hikari.
