I - SETUP (12:00pm-5:00pm)

For any and all who agreed to help with the decorations, this would be the time to gather at the Hotel. A large list of assignments will be posted on the wall near the entrance, with duties including but not limited to:

1. Setting Tables, including placement of centerpieces
2. Wall and ceiling decorations, involving a lot of gossamer drapery and lights
3. Preparing the buffet table, with a mixture of hot and cold foods, as well as a separate table at the end for delectable deserts
4. Getting all necessary equipment on stage for the Live Band to perform.  Sound Checks may occur throughout.
5. A side dressing room area set up exclusively for those who volunteered to take the time to get ready themselves, including special hair and makeup stations and a large rack to hang their dresses & shoes to change into later

II - HOTEL LOBBY (6:30pm onward)

Cozy and luxurious in its own right, those who arrive before Prom is scheduled to begin will be allowed to lounge in the Hotel Lobby for a spell. Meeting and greeting other early birds and partaking in a select few hors d'oeuvre made available while waiting for the doors to open

 

III. - PROM PHOTOS!

In the far corner of the lobby, a cute backdrop will be set up, ready for any and all couples/groups/brave souls going stag for the evening to take a memorable photograph! Selfies are welcome throughout, but for those desiring a more professional setup, Hikari Yagami will be on hand for the first and last hours of the night for "official" Prom Photos.

IV - EATING/DRINKING

  

With a "bar" consisting of 90% nonalcoholic beverages--the remaining ten percent reserved for of age chaperones--and a buffet table spanning the length of the side wall, there will be no shortage of food options that night!  Hot pasta dishes, cold sandwiches, fruits, vegetable platters, and a special end section devoted to some of the best sweets Genessia's bakeries have to offer!

Of course, what prom would be complete without the traditional Fruit Bowl Punch?  Better get a sip in early, though...because some traditions never die, and it's not like those in charge can keep an eye on that bowl the entire night, can they?

V. - DANCE FLOOR

With a live band (Thank you, Professor!) ready to rock, you'll soon be dancing the night away, under ethereal decorations that will really make you feel like you're dancing among the stars!

In between sets, there will be a DJ spinning a mixture of slow dances, crowd favorites, and songs that'll really get the party rockin' (LMFAO style).

 

VI. - CHAPERONES

 

Because somebody's got to make sure the kids behave.

Hopefully actual adults who can behave themselves.

 

VII. - MINGLING/MISC.
 

What other shenanigans could the teens and tweens of Genessia possible get up to?  The night is young, and so are they~

[Anastasia has arrived early as she often tends to do, but given the occasion, it's a shocker that she actually shows up with a date. However, it's not a date-date, but just friends looking to hang out and probably make more friends.]

(Prom Photos)
[A special occasion deserves a special commemorative photo, right? On one hand, Anastasia would like to get one, but at the same time, she wonders if that's truly a wise idea. She'll stay close by, but she'll need to talk it over with someone.]

(Snacks and dance)
[Though she tries to be social, once she is actually out in large crowds, Anastasia tends to shy away. She can be found sitting on one of many chairs along the edge of the dance floor, a cup of fruit punch in her hands. Her not!date seems to left her, a good time to talk to her or even ask her for a dance until her not!date returns.]

[Shi is dressed in... something. idk. I'll figure that out eventually. But he's all smiles when he sees Ana. Originally he hadn't intended to come, but he wants to look around at least briefly... Then he can tell his sisters about it later. They would have loved a party like this.]

It is great to see you. Are you having fun? [Also, please tell him what to do at prom.]

Hi, Shiro. I didn't expect to see you here. Are you feeling any better?

[One thing she needs to point out, though.]

Shi, you're older than me, so you don't have to call me "Miss."

However, the fun hasn't started yet. It will soon.

Mm! I can walk and move around again!

[He smiles, proud of this simple accomplishment.]

A-And... Are you sure? My sisters told me to be polite to everyone, regardless of age..?

That's great! How did you do it?

And I'm saying it's perfectly fine to just call me Ana. Or Anya, as all my friends do.

[stillsmiling]

I started collecting other people's bad luck, and now they believe in me~!

[He says proudly. It also means that Shi has gone back to being unlucky himself.]

Are you here to meet someone in particular? I'm told proms aren't fun when you're alone..? Ana?

[Sure could have used him back home. Shi would have been well fed of bad luck.]

I actually am here...with a date. I was asked out~
He had to step away to check something out, but he'll be back.

[She has a little blush and a smile, so she is happy about this.]

[He flusters slightly, ashamed to be a curse for a brief moment. Hearing it from others is still hard.]

Y-Yeah. I needed some help getting enough faith to move again...

[Tilting his head now.] "Ask out?" What's that?

[Anastasia has no idea how to explain it. But whatever explanation she can think of makes her blush considerably.]

Um... Well... It's when someone, usually a boy, invites a girl to do things together to get to know each other better... In most cases, it's to... Well, usually they like-like each other.

...B-but that's not why I was asked out. Soma and I are friends. Just friends. Just really good friends.

Lobby, for now

[Soma seems to have opted for the classic black tux, though he's wearing a black shirt instead of a white one underneath. He's wearing it pretty well, too. The fact that it's tailored to actually fit him makes it more apparent that he's... rather thinner than he probably should be. Not starving, but clearly not eating well, either.

He's also very clearly nervous. Talking about it beforehand was all well and good, but this was an actual formal occasion. Did he really have any right to be asking Anya to something like this, even just as friends?]

[Unlike Soma, Anastasia is quite happy to be here. It just feels more authentic to be brought to prom by a man.

She noticed he's acting a bit stiff, so she reaches up with a hand to book him somewhere on the face, wherever she can reach.]

Are you nervous, Soma? It may be formal attire, but the atmosphere feels casual, don't you think?

It's not that. It's just... I haven't gone unarmed in over two years. And this tux is a rental - if something happens tonight and I have to act, this thing's going to get shredded. I can't afford to replace this thing on what I'm making right now.

[Pretty pedestrian concerns, really. He chuckles at the thought.] I'm joking. It's mostly that I've never actually been to one of these before, so I haven't the faintest idea what to do. I think there's supposed to be dancing at some point, but beyond that...? [He shrugs an eloquent shrug.]

By the way? You look awesome. That dress really suits you.

[With her hands on her cheeks, she hides a blush.]

You really think so? I'm glad...
And yes. There is dancing and... Actually, I think that's all. This just looks like any other party we've been to.

I think there may also be a snack table somewhere. And... pictures? I think I remember people talking about those, when I was in school.

[He rubs the back of his head awkwardly.] There doesn't appear to be any dancing going on yet. I guess... we mingle for now?

[Out of habit of being a refined lady, Anastasia moved herself to Soma's side and was about to hang on his arm.
But she remembered the pool party and Satsuki's reaction and took a step away.

She is going to pretend she didn't try.]

[To be fair, this time it's kind of expected. Soma will actually offer his arm when she approaches, as a proper gentleman should. If she wants to step back in and take it, she's welcome to - elsewise he'll shrug, mark it down to Satsuki's warning, and soldier on.]

Yes, let's. I just hope no one wants to make trouble tonight. It's been so long since something like this really went off without problems...

[Well. Since Soma did offer, she'll timidly come back in and loop her arm around his. To show she is okay with this, Anastasia smiles up at him. And now, she's ready to he escorted in.
If anyone wants to judge them, they're free to do so. But they won't be correct.]

I wonder if any of our friends are here as well? Let's keep an eye out for them~

Snacks

[Uai is only here to pretend he can blend in. He only pays light attention to the people around him. Even in the case of those who he knows, Uai has kept his distance so long as something/one else has their attention.

Seeing Ana alone doesn't actually worry him either. No one here is going to touch a little girl. But loneliness is as bad as awful company.]

Where'd your friend go? I thought I saw someone with you, Ana.

[Oh look, she found a strawberry to snack on.

She was just about to eat it when Uai showed up, and she smiled in greeting.]

You mean my date? He went to check something out. He should be back soon.

Oh, good--

[Wait, a date? Isn't she a bit young...???

Uai shakes his head. It's not his business.]

There's not much to check out here, though. It's kind of dull...?

[It's not a date-date, but it is a date. At least, that's Ana's reasoning.]

There's dancing, music and photos. Did you come alone, Mister Uai?

[He initially thinks that all of those things sound boring... But if his family were here, he knows it would be different. So he decides to reign in his opinion.]

... Yeah, I'm alone. But I'm not lonely, if that's what you mean.

[Actually, he is. He hates seeing everyone so happy and content in Genessia. In his mind, being too happy here means betraying those who miss you.]

[Because she's a unrepentant sweetie, she'll just come right out and say it.]

Will you keep me company until my date gets back, then?

[Uai keeps a smile. He may hate all of the happiness here, but he won't take it out on anyone. Least of all a child. So he nods and bows politely, partially out of habit. He's used to being polite and behaving as per Alyce's orders.]

Of course. I can't very well leave a lady on her own, now can I? [He shifts his gaze to the snack table.] Anything you recommend?

[Anastasia returns the gesture with a curtsy in gratitude.]

I personally like the fruits.
