Nagito Komaeda
28 August 2016 @ 12:26 am
[Nagito who normally smiled as much as he could when talking to everyone was rather troubled looking. He held the paper in his hands and sighed heavily before addressing the camera.]

This... this is suppose to be something to root for? This vigilante....

[However, the person from before had already spoken up. Even the paper deemed that person pointless. So who was the other person mentioned who commit those atrocities? Could they be one and the same? Had he missed something?]

All I read was something despair inducing. Who would consider something like that any good at all? I can't believe in this person's hope, they are more a bringer of despair.

[To go so far... it was inhuman. It was like a monster.]

However, I will give one thing to this person, surely such actions and such despicable means will entice Hope among the people as they come together against him. It's the only acceptable way to tolerate this.

[He pauses a moment and laughs cheerlessly to himself.]

Ah... and I thought perhaps this place would be different. I thought perhaps this place was lighter. I thought maybe....

Now, I suppose, it's just about waiting to see what the outcome turns out to be. Please don't disappoint me. I've been disappointed enough lately.

Genessia NPCs
28 August 2016 @ 02:47 am

[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window, at the person, and/or broke something in the area: Airy Miller, Nagisa Hazuki, Sun Wukong, Android 18, Tiara, Xander, Tsukihito Yukimura, Shiemi Moriyama.]

Marco the Phoenix
Let's just make something completely clear here, yoi.

Chickens have rights.

[.... That was one of hell of a non sequitur.] And anyone who thinks people won't complain about anything you eat is just fooling themselves. I come from a world where even plants are sentient and talk sometimes. And if Big Mama's souls get into the homies around her, all food talks and has eyes and ears and babbles about weird shit like whether or not they'll be tasty. And humans freak out all the time about others eating bugs, even though you'll eat fish and birds that eat bugs, and that's worse because it just means entropy is happening and you're getting less energy value from it. Or do you just like the waste and taste of chaos? Besides, do you know what lobster is? Sea bugs.

I'm not saying don't ever eat anything. I'm saying, you're all disgusting. [Points a finger. Isn't he great?] Have you ever heard of-- [HAS TO STOP HIMSELF FROM THROWING UP SORRY, complete with fist over his mouth, quietly breathing to stay deadpan.] balut? [DUN DUN DUN. Also clearly from his face, this is the most heinous thing he's ever heard of.] It makes the satire A Modest Proposal by Jonathon Swift seem absolutely humane, yoi! And for those who don't know, he was suggesting convincing the nobles to start eating babies that would otherwise starve to death. And that's not even the sick part, the sick part is that the nobles were only mad that the babies weren't good enough for them to eat. Kind of like veal. Which is baby calves. Only not only is it baby calves, they can only be fed milk or they stop tasting like newborns. You freaks.

[ARMFOLD.] So before you start worrying about whether sharks eating sharks is cannibalism, or whether it's okay to eat humans, or only non-humans, or if fish can feel pain, let me just tell you. They all have lives, and you know what nuts and berries are? Sex organs of plants. You know why testes are called nuts? That's why! And berries are just like ovaries. And hell, caviar is considered by weirdo humans to be a delicacy and that's just literally going into a fish and scraping out her eggs. Humans either just never think of how disgusting it is, or they learn to stop caring.

But if you care about one food today, don't eat balut. It's filthy and wrong and you should be ashamed. Go eat plant testes. Or bee vomit. You sickos. You disgust me.

Oi, but seriously. Chickens have rights. Just because you raise them as food doesn't mean you can treat them like slaves, scrape out their eggs, or cut off their beaks. Let them live in peace, and grow nice and big, and then you can do the food thing. Because otherwise someday a giant bird might just decide to eat you. [If only Buggy were here to testify...]

[But that appears to be the end of his rant. Finally.]

[Action: However speaking of giant birds.... There's an extra huffy sparkly blue phoenix hanging around the outdoor cafes, hissing and glaring at anyone who orders eggs for brunch today. :| It's just one of those days.... Bet you wish there was a vigilante to help stop him now, huh? Well, maybe not. Or maybe you can stop him. BE THE HERO THAT NON-VEGANS NEED EVEN IF THEY DO NOT DESERVE!]

[ooc: Do not google balut if you are squeamish about half-grown ducks or chickens still in the eggs.]

[he has stayed generally out of things for the most part... but he can't be silent at everything he's read in the newspaper. He doesn't exactly know what's going on in the Everglades but having been here a while he's recognizing it as his duty to find out.

...maybe that was why he was brought here in the first place?]

This vigilante....

There are some horrible things that have happened. That creatures eat humans is the cycle of life and mist is forgiving. Sometimes being dead is easier than being alive. That does not concern me. Even in places where supposedly death does not matter.

(though I would not say it to their faces ha ha ha)

But to torture is an entirely different matter altogether. No one deserves that. I would not even wish that on the one who committed the act.

Perhaps they should be brought to justice? Though I do not know what kind of justice exists in the Everglades. Though I am ever feeling it's my increasing duty to find out. To bring it about if I can.

I have stayed too long in Fayren and have ignored my true calling.

Does anyone know where to live cheap there?

Danny Fenton
28 August 2016 @ 04:09 pm
[Danny usually tried to keep his ghost self away from the network. He also usually tried to stay far, far away from Genessia politics.

But with everything that had been going on recently, he kind of felt like he had to say something.]

Look.

[He frowns into the video feed and pushes back his hair, ignoring the way  he was faintly glowing even in the daylight.]

I don't know everything that's going on in Everglade. Me?  I've just been going out at night trying to keep anyone from getting hurt. Ghost, Supernatural Creature or Human.

But can we all just stop?  Can't we just try talking things out for once? I mean, I can only really speak for ghosts, but can't we just quit with attacking each other? Can't we just try talking things out for once? There has to be some way to work things out that works for everyone.

[His expression sours.] And for the record?  Talking things out does not involve random vigilantes showing up and trying to make me "move on'". Do you have any idea how irritating that is?

Rose Quartz / Pink Diamond
28 August 2016 @ 07:37 pm
[It had been a rough couple weeks since Rose had arrived in Genessia, but she had taken time to let her worries of home simmer, collecting information as best she could without really intruding on anyone's lives here. However, what she saw was... rather fascinating. Never before had she seen a group of such disparate people, aliens, and other beings living in such harmony before. For once, she didn't feel like such an outsider, and she wanted to have some greater measure of interaction than she had taken in her own world. As such, she had found a nice untouched grassy area near The Bay and had worked her magic to grow some rather large watermelons. It was still summer and summer just didn't seem like summer without watermelons.]

Hello, some of you already know me, but my name is Rose Quartz. I just wanted to say thank you to those that helped put my worries to rest when I found myself here, and while they haven't vanished, they are much more manageable. As a way of saying thank you, I've grown some watermelons.

In my world, it's something of a tradition to share watermelons among friends and family during the summer, and I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone who wished to do so here.

[She turned the camera around to show the slightly above average size watermelons, growing amid a patch of what seem to be roses with small crystalline shapes at their centers.]

I'm near the area where I woke up, and anyone that wants a watermelon is more than welcome to come get one.

[ there's a disgruntled not-god sitting with an adorable outfit on. he's even got a crown of plastic yellow flowers on his head. he's sitting at a table with a black cloth in a dimly lit room and he has cards spread out in front of him as well as a zodiac wheel ]

Do I really have to do this? This is really embarrassing...

--No, I get it. As long as everyone is in the next room.

[ he looks down, half mumbling ]

........... Come by Aphrodite's Love Matching and Arcade for a special love reading. You'll have your love life read by the stars. The first ten customers will have a free reading.

immolavit
28 August 2016 @ 10:01 pm
[ Like a panicked, wild animal; Karik had fled with both a racing mind and heart. They didn't understand what was going on, they didn't know why they were here. They hadn't listened to the hologram, and had spent a good deal yelling at the woman. When they had reached for it, only for their hands to go through the woman...That's when their panic heightened. Had they been kidnapped? Drugged? Paranoia gripped at them tight, making it harder to breathe.

Stay calm, they tell themselves. Though their own advice fell upon deaf ears.

They were aimless, but damn were they desperate in finding a way out. They ran and ran til they came across a city. The buildings towered high in the sky, and it was absolutely bustling with people. Their gaze darts about, and their ears twitch at the unfamiliar noises the city had to offer. It wasn't until horns started blaring, where they began to scramble about in the streets. Tires squeal against the pavement as they dodged for their life.

When they reach the sidewalk, they assume they were safe from the street and its strange, steel monsters. Karik bends over, placing their hands upon their knees as they breath heavily; attempting to catch their breath. When they could breath well enough, they stand up straight. Instantly they grab a hold of some poor bastard passing by. Their fingers curl into the person's collar as they bare their teeth in a menacing manner. Their crimson optics were as wild as they were.

They certainly didn't seem like they were letting go. Perhaps in a way it was frightening--Being grabbed so suddenly by a seven foot tall stranger, garbed in armor and rags.
They weren't exactly someone that looked like a friend. ]

Tell me where the hell I am, and how to leave. Now. I am not afraid of causing shit right here and now if you don't.

Anastasia K. Leonheart
28 August 2016 @ 10:24 pm
[Around a grassy, unpopulated area in the fantasy city of Fayren, Anastasia was alone, with her sword, named Confiance in her right hand and small, undecorated kite shield in her left hand.

The purpose being was she is bored and wanted to get out and burn off the energy she has. So she was here in this empty spot to shadow fence. There was ample shade and the air was cool in her spot, so being active won't bother her.

A down slash, then up slash, a twirl and another up slash, she was a girl who had instruction before. Even so, her steps were often clumsy and her strokes often missed the target in her mind's eye. She was so caught up in her exercise that she, at one point, started collecting mana that formed visible ribbons to cast her destruction magic. But she stopped, realizing that without a proper target, that would only end badly.

Instead, she rested a bit, then returned to her practice swings. Up, down, thrust, side, right spin slash, left spin shield bash and thrust.

Feel free to join this wannabe Warrior Princess.]

Vasiliy Fetorski | Fet
28 August 2016 @ 10:50 pm
action; genessia; outside the bay

[Fet casts an impressive shadow in the late summer sun, standing before Weiss' hologram, watching with interest as she speaks. Much like an attentive student during a lecture, he references the materials he was provided, fingers the pendant draped around his neck at it's mention, and looks toward the sky when the barrier is brought up. As the hologram continues its explanation, he reaches into one of the many pockets in his vest and withdraws a cigarillo, lighting it and holding it between his teeth for a moment before taking a drag and holding the flavorful smoke in his mouth for a second before releasing it slowly.

His jaw muscle works thoughtfully as the hologram finishes, and he brings the cigarillo to his lips again, taking a slower pull from the wrapped tobacco and releasing it with an exhaled sigh.
]

...Is that right?

[His voice is heavily accented, something Eastern European, and he works his jaw thoughtfully again before he reaches into the pocket of his coat, much too warm for this weather, and pulls out the device he was left in the box, just like everyone else, looking down at it thoughtfully before tucking it back into his pocket.]

Kidnapped then, is it?

[A lot of the message is lost of Fet, though he assumes he'll come to understand it in time. He's more concerned about understanding who else might be here than figuring out where here is exactly, at least for the moment. He thought vampires overrunning the city was a big deal. This just made his life a lot more complicated.]

video;

[Fet takes the phone back out of his pocket and turns it on. The interface is fairly intuitive, and starting the video transmission is pretty self-explanatory. He holds the phone up, greeting the network with a friendly smile. While his words are thickly accented, his command of the English language isn't in question.]

Hello, everyone. Or is it fellow captives? I don't know what to call the lot of us. Anyway, I'm Fet. Looks like I just got in off the boat.

[He begins to walk in the direction the documentation indicated toward the offered housing. A place to sleep is a good place to secure first, after all.]

I don't remember buying a ticket, but the vacation's nice. [He smirks.] Anybody know if it's paid, 'sides the cash they left with the phone, I mean. [And he shakes his head slightly.] Also, what can be said of this place, eh? I know what the welcome message said, and the pamphlet, but the best way to get to know a place is to ask the locals. I don't really care about what's outside the barrier, or any of that. Not yet. Just would like to know what a newbie should know.

[And he flashes the camera a charming smile.]

Thanks for listening.
